    You got my question!
    I'd no clue before today.
You're voice is as gorgeous as your photos had given us to think Miss Rowe.
Thank you for all your CF work.

Hi Lauren! SO GOOD to see you post a video. Last night and this morning I swear to you I couldn't get you off my mind. I thougt, its been a bit...is she okay? So thousands of miles away in Minneapolis Minnesota you have a person who is thinking of you and caring and praying for you. How awesome is the internet? Love the hospital food question....I try and forget it the moment I swallow and they take that smelly tray away. I'm so sorry you were in the hospital and hope you fell better this week. ME: had a hemoglobin over 9! Finally!! Its sad when thats a celebration isnt it? Love to you from across the pond. Diane

Hi Lauren! I absolutely love your channel!! great work :) I also really appreciate how you tell so many important things but in a sarcastic/funny way, which makes it a lot easier for a lot of people to deal with it. I'm also thankful about your transplant story. I know its always a personal story but you mainly see and read about the stories that are like "I am a completely different person. I can now climb the mount everest." Okay and mild versions of it haha but I think you understand what I mean. Its good for people who will need a transplant to see its not all rainbow and sunshines. To see the realistic side of it. So thank you for that!
I absolutely agree about your comment about the bus! Or similar stories people tell me which really annoy me! They don't have a disease that will eventually kill them and so death is always around you in some way and that is hard.
How are you doing now? Did the seizures stop?
Best of luck to you and I can't wait to watch more videos :)

Oh thank you. I am so glad you like my channel. It means a lot you like my honesty as I'm sure its not everyones cup of tea. Im going okay thank you. Just plotting along the best I can. Seizures have calmed right down which is wonderful but I dont want to jinx myself by saying they have stopped just yet haha. Hope you are going well yourself. xx

+Gifted Life Thanks so much for replying! I love your observations and satire on life with a chronic illness (I can relate to so many of them), and your sense of humour. Your videos make my day :)
I am dealing with everything OK (most of the time).. I'm on the urgent list, but still waiting for the call (ie. my hospital phone to light up in pretty colours and vibrate and scare everyone with its loudness as it is set to the highest volume). It is such an inspiration for me to see someone who has gone through the transplant process and is so strong and full of life (I know there are bad days, but you come across so lovely in your videos, and so funny). Alice xx

I am so sorry you were (more) sick again....... You are adorable and funny... My husband in the pic. with me was dying of a Bile Duct Disease in his liver after we got married completely blindsiding us and after much drama tried to die on me 4 times before transplant, hospital stuff, etc. he got a transplant at the 11th hr. literally.... That is where I got most of my grey hair.... We just celebrated our 10yr. liver transplant anniv. 05/21/2016.... We wish the best for you...... You can watch a gospel cover of Robert singing here on youtube under Robert Tripp Help Me cover might make you feel good....

Oh Thank you so much Kathleen. Wow congratulations to both you and your husband for coming so far. I am sorry you had to go through that but I think it is such a testament to both you and your hubby as to how strong you both are. Sending big cudles. Looking up Robert now =)

I'm sending my very best wishes to you and Robert, Kathleen. I was wondering if your husband has had PSC, as it's what I have now. I'm currently awaiting transplant, but otherwise I'm OK, aside from all the complications (ascites, varices...). Music (and my piano) keeps me sane, I'm so glad your husband has music as an outlet. I also love dancing (will be dancing in a ballet in 2 weeks' time, hard work and tiring but the focus keeps my mind off things). Stay strong, take care xx

Oh Alice, I am glad you wrote me just got home from Dr. appts.
I am so sorry for what you are going through..... :(
They never could figure out with Robert what he had but we have reasons to suspect it was PSC... He started getting sickly after we had been married 1.5 yrs. and by the time those symptoms had appeared little did we know he was almost dead... His orig. liver Dr. was an ass and assumed Robert was a raging alcoholic that did not deserve being saved this was a Dr. in Fresno, CA.... It took us awhile to figure that out and it took Robert almost dying before we realized he did not have Robert's best interest at heart.... at that point we fired him and I made an appt. with UCSF(UC San Francisco)we lived in Cent. CA. at the time. After lots of up and downs sent home for him to die because they thought liver cancer, etc. he almost died 4 times, got the transplant at the last possible minute after barely recovering form Pneumonia, etc.... Too sick to almost have a transplant but luckily barely in the range etc.... He was #1 on two lists in May 2006, Northern Ca. and Cent. CA.... May 21, 2016 was the 10 yr. liver transplant anniv., and May 4 his bday plus a 9 yr. Biliary Revision surgery... He kept having issues 1st yr. after transplant they finally decided that our Dr. had used his old external bile duct to hook to new liver and the old bile duct was bad, so they rerouted his entire system..... That bile duct situation was one of the reasons we suspect PSC... His transplant Dr. is brilliant though and did the transplant and also the revision surgery the next yr...
One thing I would like to add is honestly you have to believe in God and pray to him and the key is believing in God because he will work things out usually to your benefit... God was "physically with us several times", during all this time and Robert had a positive attitude all along but reached a point where he was tired of being so sick and almost dying that he wanted to give up, even though I knew God was with us I was still traumatized by all the drama.....
Sorry did not mean to write a book.... Love to talk to people and offer encouragement and would love to keep in touch... I am on Facebook so you can friend me if on there and you can also friend and hear Robert's music as well.... We are now in Mesa, AZ....
      Where are you?

    • @kathleentripp5262
      @kathleentripp5262 8 років тому

I should have also mentioned 6 weeks after Robert's Biliary Revision surgery I was almost killed in a headon car accident, Robert had to help take care of me(My mom moved in with us for 3 months to also help take care of me)and this was just before Robert got all his staples out of his stomach...... It was crazy.....

+Kathleen Tripp I'm so sorry to hear of your bad experiences with previous doctors and everything you had to go through :(
I do have a positive outlook, but I know the transplant journey is full of ups and downs, and that I may get to the point of wanting to 'give up' (I hope that will not happen). I am from London, I have been chronically ill for most of my life (since I was 6/7). I have a great medical team at the hospital, which I'm so grateful for, they make everything so much easier to deal with. Still, I am not a fan of hospital waiting rooms (have my next appointment later this week). Sending my love, Alice xx
