How's it Going! Welcome to the ROAMantic Adventure! My name is Micah and my Fiancé Lindsey and I decided to create a video detailing how we built our Jeep Platform Bed. When we were looking online every single build included taking the back seats out, as well as creating a permanent living situation. The problem with these builds were that we didn't wanna live out of our jeep. We wanted to be able to camp in our Jeep, but also be able to put the seats back quickly if we needed too. This is why we created a Jeep bed platform that is completely collapsable with drop bolts. It condenses in our garage without taking up as much space as these other platform bed that we have seen. Supplies used:
2-10ft 2X4
1-10ft 2X6
1- 4X8ft Maple Plywood 1 inch thick
1-Box of Drywall Screws
8-Brackets
16- 3/4 inch Bolts
Tools Used:
Saw
Drill
Hammer
Tape Measure
Measurements for each section:
BACK (Built with 2X4):
42 inches wide
13 1/2 inches tall
MIDDLE (Built with 2X6):
54 inches wide
13 1/2 inches tall
FRONT (Built with 2X4):
45 inches wide
12 inches tall (This is due to the back seats being folded down)
