    I started to watch Japan's games because of Nootbar (here a Cards fan), but now I do it because I truly admire this team, they're amazing not only due to their skills, but also their attitude. Their incredible fans, too. Also Japanese football (soccer) team was a great example to others in the past world championship. So much inspiring! I hope Japan win this WBC 💟

    • @megg734
      @megg734 Рік тому +38

      Did you know that Nootbar is very popular in Japan as well?
      Because he plays hard and works hard with his teammates to help the Japanese team win.
      Rather than winning or losing, the Japanese place more importance on "Are you making an effort" and "Are you working hard?"
      Of course, manners are also important.
      He satisfies all of these requirements and actually produces results.
      Furthermore, he attracts people with his charming personality.
      The Japanese team recently played against the Czech Republic, and we was able to feel their passion and joy in playing pure baseball.
      Overnight, the Japanese public fell in love with the Czech Republic team.
      Even Shohei Ohtani posted a picture of them on Instagram with the caption “Respect”.
      I was able to get to know Nootbar and the Czech Republic team, and I think this is the best part of international matches.

      I am Japanese. Nootbaar is very popular in Japan now. Defensively full of fighting spirit, good batting, running bases with all his might, and a cheerful and friendly personality. He is now an integral part of the Japanese national team. It's hard to go back to America after the WBC is over. I love nootbaar because he has a really good personality. I'm worried that he might get hurt by being too enthusiastic about the WBC.

      @@megg734 I absolutely agree with you! I got to know the rest of the Japanese team (I only knew Nootbar and Ohtani before this WBC), as well as the Czech Republic, and it's being amazing. I'm from Spain and here people know nothing about baseball (I played it for many years thanks to South Americans who live here), I imagine it's the same in the Czech Republic, so it's impossible not to admire them, since it's not precisely easy what they've achieved. And, of course, it's impossible not to enjoy teams like Japan, where baseball is played with true passion and fantastic values. I wish you all the best 😊

    • @laumcasal
      @laumcasal Рік тому +8

      @@lethalweapontom I understand what you mean, it's difficult not to be worried about that, but if he weren't with the Japanese team now he'd be in the Spring Training and he could get hurt anyway. He always plays with a lot of passion because he simply enjoys baseball. So as far as I see it, if there's always that risk, I prefer that he takes it by playing in the WBC with Japan. It's obvious that he's having so much fun, he's really happy and he has many real possibilities of winning the championship. Japan deserves it. 😊 Greetings from a Cardinal fan in Spain!

      Pretty sure Japan has a rule that fans aren't allowed to keep homerun balls or foul balls for themselves and usually a staff/security member comes around to retrieve the ball. Thus they pass it to each other to take pics and then hand it over. The only exception of this rule is if the fielder intentionally tosses the ball into the crowd.
      Edit: apparently you can keep homerun balls nowadays but not foul balls

      From March 13th, the government has issued a notice not to wear a mask.
      It's an earlier game than that, so naturally everyone is wearing a mask.
      Because that's the rule.
      Japanese people always follow rules and manners.
      So people trust each other.
      That's why she can pass precious home run ball into the hands of people who don't know.
      "Everybody knows it's mine. They'll respect my ownership because if it were the other way around, I would too."

      Minasian made sufficient offseason moves to strengthen the team to make one more playoff push though. Trout has said he wants to be a lifetime Angel, so he won't leave. But if the Halos goes deep in the playoffs, Ohtani might stay given how the organisation is willing to accommodate him with a 6 pitcher rotation. Few other organisation will do that, certainly not most contenders.

When the home team is up to bat, everyone is on their feet singing and chanting the batter's designated song the entire time he is at the plate. It was an exhausting and surreal experience all at the same time!
    I imagine these international competitions are a real treat for the fans. All the opposing fan bases get to come together, learn the chants of normally opposing players and sing them together as a collective Japanese fan base for the first time.
