He'll keep on growing and will surely win that MIP I don't think any would come close (Might be Maxey if only he didn't miss a lot of games with an injury or maybe Bol Bol that barely got some playing time with the Nuggets and even with the Pistons).

I am an Ohioan and a Cavs fan but I am so happy to see Markkanen playing this well. While I am happy as a Cavs fan to have Donovan Mitchell this was the perfect place for Lauri to end up. Teams waste his talent having him stand out by the 3 point line constantly. First Chicago wasted his ability. Then Cleveland was forced to push him out by the 3 point line because of Mobley and Allen needed to play inside. When you watch Markkanen play games for his country you could see his versatility. You could also see it at times when players were out for Cleveland and he could work inside and out. He has a great pick and pop game. He has a great post up game and even during his time in Cleveland he has some poster like dunks when given the chance. This isn't a fluke it's just the right place and the right time for him.

In one way it's a shame the on paper worst teams pick the best players, because there is a chance they get thrown into an organization that don't know how to utilize and develop talent. The Warriors are a great example of a team that maximises the potential in the players as well as the Celtics. I wish I could say the same for my Sixers, but I struggle thinking of a team that ever threw away so many talents in so little time.
Spot on. He did good in Cleveland, but he is doing GREAT in Utah. As you pointed out, he mainly played an outside game in Cleveland due to the big guys there and he was an asset. However, upon landing in Utah, he has a lot more touches on the ball, both outside and inside the paint. As a result, he has better rhythm and his game has elevated significantly. In retrospect, the trade was a win-win for both teams. Love it when it goes well for both teams!
Markkanen has the potential to be a superstar. Just like Giannis but with the shooting of a proper stretch four.

he was already a pretty good player in chicago, they just refused to make him a priority.
But he was injury prone, inconsistent during his last two seasons there, and not aggressive. Plus his defense (rebounding, rim protection) was non existent. I'd see him game after game and unfortunately, he regressed after his first season. I'm glad he's turned it around though, he definitely had tons of potential
Cavs just didn't play him correctly like the Bulls, but they had to make the salaries match and trade him for Mitchell. He was the only option.
It would be crazy if he’s better then both of the bigs in Cleveland. When it’s all said and done. Right now he’s playing like it.

Markkanen was the steal of the off-season. I wish the Cavs all the best with Mitchell, who is playing great and finally (maybe) getting serious about defense. But they really blew it letting Markkanen go. He is the real deal and is hungry in a way Mitchell and Gobert haven't been in at least a few years. P.S.-- Who won the return matchup Cavs vs. Jazz? Jazz fans know Mitchell will always get his numbers. But his team got the L. Markkanen's stats in that game weren't as impressive as Mitchell's 46 points. But the Finnisher cares more about winning within the team.

Glad to have him over Mitchell. Markkanen doesn't bring any drama (on or off court) and hustles on both ends of the floor. Mitchell never wanted to be here, and it feels like Lauri does, which makes a huge difference in the overall vibe of the team. A lot of fans (myself included) felt he played too much "hero ball" in closing moments, despite the fact that he couldn't finish. On top of that, he came in as a humble player but left with an inflated ego that rubbed the fans wrong.
