This is the only thing I just cannot reconcile. As a father to a beautiful daughter myself, my brain cannot compute how he abandoned her in taking his own life. We all know how crippling depression can be for some people, but once you become a parent, it’s not about you anymore. How bad do you have to be, how dark do things have to get, for you to abandon and permanently scar that which is dearest to your heart? It’s just totally beyond me and it makes it all that much worse.
Here's an example of the bond Chris Cornell shares with his daughter Toni. I love the interaction between the two in this video. I think it was amazing (for her age) that Toni was able to hold the microphone properly for herself and put it up to Chris's mouth when he was speaking. (I noticed she tasted it a few time, too. This is why we disinfect microphones, folks!) She is a smart kid. Can't wait to see if she pursues a musical career like her father. Much love to the family!! XOXOXO!!

If Chris felt suicidal he would have cried out for help. He wouldn't have exited this world in such a violent way and not leave a letter for his kids or loved ones. Unfortunately, Chris is dead because of his wife. She either drove him to suicide, or she had him killed because he WAS divorcing her and she wanted every cent he had. And she's trying to blame his death on Ativan! He only took a couple, and all it would have done is make him drowsy and probably fall asleep. But of course... anything to take the blame off herself!
