    So PlayStation Portal, Backbone, or Remote Play? What do you guys think is the best way to play your PS5 when you're away from your TV?
    Since this is my first UA-cam video, if I ever reach 100 subs, I’ll celebrate that 1st milestone by sending a random person from my channel a brand-new Backbone One, or DualSense controller like the ones you see in this video. I’ll make a video of me picking one of you randomly, so you know it’s real 😆
    Official Rules:
    No purchase required.
    Only within the United States.
    Anyone that asks you to send money or anything, is NOT from me, and I'm not responsible for your actions.
    After I reach 100 subscribers, I'll select one person from my list of subscribers or from the comments sections of my videos (This is literally the only way I know you exist) to give away their choice of a Backbone One controller, OR a DualSense controller for the PS5.
    This giveaway is done after I select a winner.
    Whoever I select will need to contact me via email within 7 days of being selected. I'll give it until 11:59pm Pacific time on the last day. For example: If I select a winner on a Tuesday, they'll have to email me by 11:59pm Pacific time the next Tuesday. If they don't contact me within that timeframe they'll be disqualified and I'll choose someone else.
    Any information collected will only be used for the sole purpose of delivering the product to the selected winner.
    After the person I select contacts me, I will send them a random code or keyword that they'll post in the comments section using the same username that was selected to verify that they're the person that I selected.
    This is not sponsored by UA-cam. I'm solely responsible for this giveaway and sending the product.
    Anyone that doesn't comply with these rules or the UA-cam Community guidelines will be disqualified

    I just recently bought the PlayStation backbone. So far, I like it for being able to use it outside of my home. I don't plan on using it for multiplayer gaming, but works for me so far. Only bought it since it was on sale. I do think that they need to have a way to lock it open a bit to get your phone in.

    With the largest portal update that the stutter is fixed and that you can stream games is really good. The only thing is that the laboratory of the premium sub will need more games.

    The problem I need solved - I want to play games while camping, while on my boat, or while on break at work, ie ONLY using a mobile cellular signal (Galaxy S10+). I've watched about twenty videos that basically prove this capability doesn't really exist yet.

    • @Shah-Chisty
      @Shah-Chisty  Місяць тому

      Yeah that’s a tough one for camping, and going out on a boat because unless your cellphone provider covers those areas with high-speed, low-latency mobile hotspot, you won’t be able to get a connection unless you’re using a Starlink or something out there for internet. And even then, the latency on Starklink is gonna vary depending on the location. If you’re on break at work, I’d check if your mobile hotspot from your phone is good enough. I use the hotspot on my phone while I’m at work, and it works pretty well most of the time for playing single-player modes.

      Thank you for the feedback, and I really appreciate you watching the video! When both are on a good connection, I honestly don’t notice a difference in latency. Does this have to make itself a Wii U?
    Or does it have to be a Portal?
    It seems that you'll need to do a remote play on your Logitech G Could, huh?
    Apparently, Android and iOS let you play Remote Play when you installed the PlayStation App on your Phone, Tablet, iPhone, iPad, Logitech G Could or AYN Odin 2 or yet, PlayStation Portal.

    ps portal is ****!!!!
    Its not meant for gaming outside, ok i get that.. but that piece of garbage doesnt even work at home...
    first mistake, not beeing able to DIRECTLY connect to your ps5... i mean, like WHY WHY WHY wouldnt that be an option, those **** at sony even said its meant to be played at home in a home network, so WHYYYY not making it connect to your ps5 directly for the BEST stream but instead going over a router and losing ms????? So my ps5 is on WLAN, i do not need good connection since i dont play online games so wlan is enough, on a 5g router ASUS something something, its not high end but also not a cheap router, payed like 180 -220 bucks back in the day 4ish years ago... so ofc, the portal wont work, gameplay is laggy, graphic looks like **** and ofc button inputs dont recognize, thats honestly unplayable as is but also not an issue since it disconnects every 30 sec and then you have to connect just to get disconnected again a few sec later... So far so good, this piece of crap, wont work on Wlan... then lets try wiring the ps5 to my router and connect the portal to same router wirelessly, did it and it looked like crap, also getting constant lagg ect... then i saw, that portal is not on 5g... lets change that, wich did improve it a little bit but honestly, its still no fun to play, there is a slight delay when pressing buttons, also losing connection now and then is super annoying + if i go to the other room, the connection is gone.. could be because of my router tho, it does show 3 of 4 lines when i go to the next room so dunno... wanted to try it from home away but honetly, this crap works so bad at home so i wont even try from somewhere else..!
    Wich brings me to my 2nd thing, WHY cant you connetc to your PS5 via cable, for a seemles 0.01ms response time??? That would be amazing, im pretty sure alot of people play the portal close to their ps5 and i will gladly buy a 5meter usb-usbc cable for that portal and smooth gameplay!!! I just cannot comprehend why those 2 things wich sound like CORE FEATURES would not work on the ps portal, to directly connect to your PS5 without the need for a router and to connect via cable, its possible since the psvr does it and if latentcy is good enough for VR, trust its more then enough for a little display there!!!
    And funny enough, sony could bring both of those optins via a update but nooo... they will let it die, just like they did to the psvita and psp... so to say, i got a 200 bucks paperweight!!!

    • @Shah-Chisty
      @Shah-Chisty  Місяць тому +1

      Damn! Sorry it didn’t work for you, the experience is definitely super dependent on the connection you can get on it. If you’re able to get a good connection, it’s amazing, but if you can’t then it’s pretty much unplayable like you said. I like the idea of using a cable to connect to the PS5. That’s a really good point, and would be nice if Sony pushes out an update to enable that feature for people that can’t get a good connection.
      My setup FYI is an Asus RT-AX86S router, my PS5 connected with Ethernet, Portal connected on 5Ghz. Speedtest shows 11ms ping, download about 400mbps, around 20 upload.

But my points are still valid, why didnt they make an option for direct connection to the ps5 and a possibility for cable,

Anyway, i ordered a GT-AX11000, it seems its one if not the best from asus right now, should arive in 2 weeks apr. and im gonna come back and say if its better... cost me just 380 bucks... >
