Based on the last example where we were supposed to find the error. I tried finishing the problem, and according to my math X=-14 Buuuut, I am terrible at math and I am JUST starting to understand this (thanks to you) would you mind sharing the right result for that last equation to see if i was right or wrong? @@xChris_Kentx Thanks for watching! You can do the last one with a calculator - if you plug in the answers into both sides of the equation, you want both sides to be equal. Only the right answer will make both sides the same value. Hope that makes sense!

That part's always tricky, where there are x's on opposite sites. We'll always want to get x's on the same side, so I find it easier to get them to the left. Hope that helps explain a little more
How did you get a 2x for the last one? 2(4-x) like 8-2x? where does the 2x come from in that equation?
Good question! That comes from the 2 multiplying with both 4 and -x:
So 2(4 - x) means:
2•4 = 8
2•-x = -2x
Therefore, 2(4 - x) becomes 8 - 2x.

Hey there, In terms of prepping for GED Math, I would buy the calculator as soon as you can. Then, once you have that, after you watch a video, I recommend doing the practice on my website: getsummath.com
I would only do 2-3 topics a day and wouldn't recommend cramming too many, otherwise everything just blends together. I hope that's helpful!

I think you may have multiplied the 4x on the right side over to the left instead of added
