In Lore Ironforge is one of the most fortified Cities of Azeroth, the place is crawling with siege Tanks, spider Tanks, a whole Airport full of gnomish Bombers, the very Gates are on a very strategic Highground and can even be closed if even these defences are down.

The moment I realized that Gnomes weren't just cute, little sidekick jokes? Siege of Orgrimmar as an Alliance player. Seeing the Gnomish Army rush into that one hall and taking out entire groups of Kor'kron with their inventions was just insanely cool :D "Forge ahead, brave heroes!"
When you look at the gnome story-line.. It is about them regaining, rebuilding their city and moving to a brighter future. For some reason; when we get to the space travelling part.. I can just see Gnomeregan completely retaken and instead of staying in the ground.. Lifting up into the skies; leaving behind the troggs and most importantly the terrible memories they had there. Wouldn't that be cool?
They will not change that starting zone bub. Nothing wrong with it. You only see it once since you can't go back after you leave it. I do want them to get back to a civilization level somewhere. Possibly giving them a added questline through it. Same with the Worgen. Just update the damn cities. >_> Fix all this with a repaired city and extend it. Same goes for Dalaran maybe.

This is probably old news to many, but if you visit Windle Sparkshine in Dalaran when day turns to night (not sure exactly when in terms of server time), he will sell you a wand which has five charges. You can use it to light the lamps around the city. I just think it's awesome that there is that little extra touch in the game and even though Kinndy isn't mentioned directly in WoW, I think about her every time I pass Windle and I mouse over him to see if he is selling any wands! :) Great video! Gnomes have a beautiful and some kind dark lore. It´s sad that Blizzard gone the Jar Jar Binks way with them. Im happy that with Mechagon we go in the right direction
+Zedi gan Blizzard is also unwilling to make a content that doesn't add anything to the gameplay, unless they would manage to tie such cities into some expansions..
Thanks for doing the video Nobbel. I have not had a chance to go through any of the content you showed here. I was only able to see the G team in that one dungeon but that goes to show how much can be done within the wow game. I hope one day that they create more scenarios just for the purpose of telling stories in WoW. It would be a pity if they didn't utilize that.
This video is awesome and is just another reason why Gnomes need more love. It's ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS that they've made no progress on Gnomeregan in years when that's been their sole focus..
It'd be nice if Blizzard actually resolved the storyline for the Gnomes...then again it would be nice if the Exodar and Silvermoon were folded into the world more fully as well, but I doubt any of this will ever happen
Aaah, I remember the battle for Gnomeregan. That was one of the last times Blizzard actually made a good world event. And that battle wasn't even part of the pre-cata event either I don't think.
I've never really been one for Gnomes, and they're my favorite punchline and football, but...Kinndy's story and death tore me apart when I read it. I could seriously relate with her and her sass, but her death was awful. When her father did the thing for her memorial...I remember putting my book down and just sobbing into my hands and wanted to slaughter Garrosh on the spot.

I HAVE A SUGGESTION!! I recently returned to wow and before all i would do was roleplay but now that im back and enjoy the leveling more and have been trying to get the mecha pets for my hunters I ran into Dr.Weavil. I want to know more about him and what you can find on his lore because it seems pretty hard to find anything much on him. I do know he had a crappy passed but I am also wondering about all those gnomes. My friend and I thought they were lepers at first but upon further inspection found they were classified as undead. I throw my vote to do lore on Dr. Weavil and his creations.

Hey Nobbel. Love the stories and keep on going! :) I've just watched a Q&A where you talked about the aspects and realized something about the them. What if their "great purpose" is not defeating Deathwing or defending the world in the first place. But learn us, the mortal, how to do it by ourself. And by Thrall with our aid completely defeating Deathwing we no longer need the help of the aspects because we are capable of defending Azaroth on our own against major enemies that even the aspects themselves can't battle against alone, and that is why the Aspects' "great purpose" is fulfilled? I know its a bit off topic ... but hey :P
I hope that the coming of gnome hunters means blizzard will add more lore to the story of the Gnomes. I have the feeling Legion is the expansion were they finally might do it, because they finally fixed Stormwind's park, and so many more features that needed it.
Gnomes are absolutely fun to play in all the classes they can be. For starters, their casting style isn't outragoes, their fighting style with two handed is great, and you can hide in a lot of tight spots, like a fireplace.
doing Liken's entire quest line on my Rogue is one of my fondest Memories from vanilla as next to the fallen hero of the Horde quest line in swamp of sorrows
Even though he's an Orc and with the Horde now, I still have very strong memories of my Gnome Warlock, my very first character in WoW. Back then, I had two wishes: Green Fire and being able to control Doomguards and Infernals, because the thought of having these huge creatures with my Gnome was hilarious ^^ Yeah, took them long enough. By the time of Wrath, I changed faction and can now finally enjoy both things ^^

Now that you have gnomes out of the way, will you do the story of the goblins? There are acctually some interesting things about goblins, for example there's a theory that Kaja'mite is acctually the blood of an old god, like Saronite... but instead of making people insane, it makes people more intelligent (and somewhat crazy, of course.) Of course that's just a theory, but still :P
Finally I got some answers about who these little engi creatures are, I was expecting for not much lore, but as always, Nobbel you gave more than what I expected. Just one thing though... interesting thought about Kinndy Sparkshine, I think In Hearthstone the "Sorcerer apprentice" supposed to represent her with the quote "Some day i will be just like you!" But they mixed up the artwork, (like with malygos or Mogor the ogar) and her artwork can found for the Card "Wee Spellstopper"
Hi Nobbel87 . When the lore of warcraft comes out, will you do another collaboration with other you tubers and make a video using the stories from that? It would be great to see that kind of story telling with in game graphics but it's a huge feat. Please keep doing what you are doing which is so inspiring to me.
That was cool about the gnomes. I have played the starting area at Gnomergon and the gnome place in Borean Tundra. It is interesting that gnomes used to be metallic. They would be even more like the kind of gnomes that people put on thier lawns. I though gnome and goblin style was tacky looking. However maybe they were going for a steampunk aesthetic. It doesn't suit my taste. However I can see how some would like it. I like to play female gnomes with pink pompoms for hair. It is cool to see one in the lore. I am a fan of the Legend of Zelda. So it is cool to have a reference. I don't think a gnome is a good fit. Link is technically a hylian. However he looks more like an elf than anything else. The closet race in World of Warcraft is high elves. Link has light skin and blue eyes just like him. So one can get a male high elf. Then they make him have short blond hair. Then they put him in a green suit. Then the guy can look just like Link. Link is a versitile fighter. However the closest class in World of WarCraft is the paladin. Link often uses a sword and shield, like a paladin. He also has a strong devotion to the holy triforce, which is very similar to how the paladin have strong devotion to the holy light. I think of Link as being a cross between Peter Pan and King Arthur. The Peter Pan similarity is in similar appearance and in having a little fairy companion. Link is like King Arthur in having similar adventures. The master sword is like excalibur in being the special sword. It can come from a stone. The triforce is like the holy grail in being the holy thing that the hero seeks. Ganandorf is like the fisher King in making the land bad. Zelda is like Gwenivere in being the lovely lady associated with the hero. The paladin class in World of Warcraft is very much like the chivilrous knights of King Arthur. There are even prominent paladins in the lore with names simialar to characters in Arthurian legend. A major leader of the paladins is Uther. He has a prominant grave in the Plaguelands. He has the same name as King Arthur's father. A major character in lore is Arthas, which has a name similar to Arthur. Like Arthur, Arthas was a paladin, who went off to save the land. He got a special sword. However in a cruel twist of fate, Arthas became currupted by his own weapon. Then he became the Lich King. So the paladin class is really fitting for a Link character in World of Warcraft. High elves are not playable...yet. The next best thing is blood elves. They even have acces to the paladin class since thier debut in the Burning Crusade. It would be fun to make a character like this. If someone really got carried away, they can make a female blood elf with long blond hair, and then name her Zelda. She can dress in a fancy pink robe. A good class would be priest. There is the same devotion to the light. There is less of the heavy melee fighting. Priest is also availiable to blood elves since debut.
I think we should establish "Gnome Appreciation Day" as a new event in WoW. They do so much for the Alliance, and get so little credit. We need to stop writing gnomes off as just comedic relief, and show them the respect they deserve.

I hope that the coming of gnome hunters means blizzard will add more lore to the story of the Gnomes. I have the feeling Legion is the expansion were they finally might do it, because they finally fixed Stormwind's park, and so many more features that needed it.

Gnomes are absolutely fun to play in all the classes they can be. For starters, their casting style isn't outragoes, their fighting style with two handed is great, and you can hide in a lot of tight spots, like a fireplace.
doing Liken's entire quest line on my Rogue is one of my fondest Memories from vanilla as next to the fallen hero of the Horde quest line in swamp of sorrows

Even though he's an Orc and with the Horde now, I still have very strong memories of my Gnome Warlock, my very first character in WoW. Back then, I had two wishes: Green Fire and being able to control Doomguards and Infernals, because the thought of having these huge creatures with my Gnome was hilarious ^^
Yeah, took them long enough. By the time of Wrath, I changed faction and can now finally enjoy both things ^^

There are acctually some interesting things about goblins, for example there's a theory that Kaja'mite is acctually the blood of an old god, like Saronite... but instead of making people insane, it makes people more intelligent (and somewhat crazy, of course.) Of course that's just a theory, but still :P

Finally I got some answers about who these little engi creatures are, I was expecting for not much lore, but as always, Nobbel you gave more than what I expected. Just one thing though... HOW IS IT POSSIBLE THAT THE UA-cam SUBTITLES WERE WITH NO ERROR? HOW?? HAS GOOGLE OR UA-cam FINALLY EV- oh what am I saying its obvius that you put the subtitles, right Nobbel?

Hi Nobbel87 . When the lore of warcraft comes out, will you do another collaboration with other you tubers and make a video using the stories from that? It would be great to see that kind of story telling with in game graphics but it's a huge feat. Please keep doing what you are doing which is so inspiring to me.

That was cool about the gnomes. I have played the starting area at Gnomergon and the gnome place in Borean Tundra. It is interesting that gnomes used to be metallic. They would be even more like the kind of gnomes that people put on thier lawns. I though gnome and goblin style was tacky looking. However maybe they were going for a steampunk aesthetic. It doesn't suit my taste. However I can see how some would like it. I like to play female gnomes with pink pompoms for hair. It is cool to see one in the lore.
I am a fan of the Legend of Zelda. So it is cool to have a reference. I don't think a gnome is a good fit. Link is technically a hylian. However he looks more like an elf than anything else. The closet race in World of Warcraft is high elves. Link has light skin and blue eyes just like him. So one can get a male high elf. Then they make him have short blond hair. Then they put him in a green suit. Then the guy can look just like Link. Link is a versitile fighter. However the closest class in World of WarCraft is the paladin. Link often uses a sword and shield, like a paladin. He also has a strong devotion to the holy triforce, which is very similar to how the paladin have strong devotion to the holy light. I think of Link as being a cross between Peter Pan and King Arthur. The Peter Pan similarity is in similar appearance and in having a little fairy companion. Link is like King Arthur in having similar adventures. The master sword is like excalibur in being the special sword. It can come from a stone. The triforce is like the holy grail in being the holy thing that the hero seeks. Ganandorf is like the fisher King in making the land bad. Zelda is like Gwenivere in being the lovely lady associated with the hero. The paladin class in World of Warcraft is very much like the chivilrous knights of King Arthur. There are even prominent paladins in the lore with names simialar to characters in Arthurian legend. A major leader of the paladins is Uther. He has a prominant grave in the Plaguelands. He has the same name as King Arthur's father. A major character in lore is Arthas, which has a name similar to Arthur. Like Arthur, Arthas was a paladin, who went off to save the land. He got a special sword. However in a cruel twist of fate, Arthas became currupted by his own weapon. Then he became the Lich King. So the paladin class is really fitting for a Link character in World of Warcraft. High elves are not playable...yet. The next best thing is blood elves. They even have acces to the paladin class since thier debut in the Burning Crusade. It would be fun to make a character like this. If someone really got carried away, they can make a female blood elf with long blond hair, and then name her Zelda. She can dress in a fancy pink robe. A good class would be priest. There is the same devotion to the light. There is less of the heavy melee fighting. Priest is also availiable to blood elves since debut.

I think we should establish "Gnome Appreciation Day" as a new event in WoW. They do so much for the Alliance, and get so little credit. We need to stop writing gnomes off as just comedic relief, and show them the respect they deserve.
