Beautiful bike. In my younger days I would have been lusting after it, but now a sports bike riding position is a no no for my wrists. Good job as always, well done Kate.
That’s one bike that’s screaming I want a tail tidy. Apart from that that’s easily changed I really like it the fairing is beautiful classically styled. Great video.👍🏻
Hello, good morning, Kate is an R and my back doesn't work even though I have a K 1200s and transform it into a K1200r I changed the steering stem ok 👍👌
Firs thing that popped in to my noggin was: How many walk round's does it take to make Kate dizzy. Clip-on bars would be a disaster for me. Subject well covered in your talk-a-bout too.
Brill walkround review! ❤👏 I didn't think much of the front end at first but am thinking that nose cone single headlight look could become iconic in time. It could do with either a hi-level or shorter, low-slung exhaust to show that lovely non-swingarmed side of the wheel though.
Hi Kate, another great video. You would have to be keen to pay that price for insurance.I loved your comment about not wanting to be fannying about texting while you're riding.Brilliant.☺👍
Very, very nice walk-around. Must be a joy to ride it. The backside imo looks like an insect but that’s personal. If I would buy a triumph I would go for the rocket 3 GT ( going out with a bang)😂 the money is there, only have to knock of 40 years of age. Again Kate respect for this one, waiting for the next. Big thumbs up 👍👍🇳🇱
I agree with you about the light 2:28. When I first saw it too it came across quite odd how the light is round from the front and flat from the sides, yet the fairing around it is pointy at the sides. I think the look would have been a lot more cohesive if the fairing wrapped around the light kind of like the MV superveloce, or at least, instead of being pointy at the sides, would have followed the light and had a vertical edge that then pulled away from the light. Also agree that it needs a body fairing to cover the engine. Looking forward for the upcoming ride comparison, keep it up.
Hi Kate, that looks very much like rivvy, where you are.. Reg holder is ugly, don't mind the nose fairing, beautiful sound.. Probably a little over priced for what it is, over all, I like it.. Love the engine, I agree what you said about the exhaust.. The dash though, stunning.. 😍😍
@@UsernameKate Love rivvington and not been to the barn for a while, with covid and bad weather, need to get off my backside and pop over again.. Love going up the winter hill route, but my bike isn't the best for tight sharp turns. Keep. Up the good work Kate 👍👍👍
The tech on these bikes are now mega and that shows in the price. I love the looks all round minus the Reg holder of course. Looks like you've been having a lot of fun with RR 👍
Rode one whilst my ThruxtonR was in for service, its a thing of beauty to me but those bars are just too low.....probs my age though 😂 And at 18k its just too much. Really looking forward to your comparison with the RS 👍
I pay around £700 for insurance for three motorcycles in Canada 🤷♂️🤷♂️ a brand new Bonneville T120 a Triumph Trophy SE and an Aprilia Mana. So I guess I won’t complain at those prices 😆😆
Yes you shocked me with £1000. About 4 years ago i got insurance for a 125cc third party fire and theft....cost around £400.....a 300cc trike mp3 urban was just £80 about 7 months ago....and I'm 57 years old. It cost more to tax it.
Hefty insurance Kate , but think it will be someone who track days, very selected niche I think.By the way a bit of media trivia Öhlins suspension is a Swedish company and English people always pronounce it incorrectly,as the Ö has two little dots above as there are thre letters the Swedish alphabet have that the UK don’t, They are:äöå so to say it correctly you say Erlins as the Ö is pronounced ER ,nerdy I know but thought it would make you laugh great blog .was watching with three friends in Nyköping Sweden 😂❤️🙏🏍👍

Great comprehensive video Kate, not my cup of tea but enjoyed learning about all type of bikes. Loved the bloopers as usual. Do you want a sticker with my name on it lol. See you in the next one take care.
Kate really enjoyed your take on the bike, for me it leaves me cold it's neither one thing or the other, and it's certainly not cheap, with all it's trick bits, I just don't know who the bike is supposed to appeal to that's the thing. might be wrong but Triumph may have missed the mark with this one. Only time will tell, and that's from a huge Triumph fan.
It's all in the eye of the beholder isn't it? I saw one at my local Triumph dealer the other day and I thought it was stunning (so was the price mind!) 🤣🤣
There's that walk around I thought I missed hahaha. The tail looks like someone got fed up and shoved a sword into it and said good enough. Another excellent walk-around, now looking forward to the juicy content to come. To me you are too small for clip-ons, no room to move around. You have stickers???
A bit too sporty for me these days, not to mention a tad out of my budget range, although it has made me feel slightly better about my £73 a year insurance now.
"Reg Holder" often referred to as a "Bee Sting" ugly things! More often than not replaced with a "tail tidy" to get rid of it. This bike badly needs a tail tidy! 😄
I don't understand why the exhaust sits on the side where there is no swing arm because it is just covering the beauty of having a single sided swing arm. They should put the exhaust on the other side to cover the swing arm, then both sides would look mint
This bike is an absolute beauty 😍😍.. specially in the Red colour. I couldn't understand one thing though..... What's the point giving the pillion foot rests when there's no pillion seat on it. 😝😝😝
You need to be right geek to run the rs1200 jesus I am going have to go to night school to learn geek tech lovely bike but must take you all day to set it up before a ride out bring back the 70s lol
Triumph TL1000 Firestorm?! Nice bike mind and better in white than boomer burgundy. Surely black next year? But £18k? Eh? Mind you, if you'd said 15 years ago that people would pay £25k for a Multistrada...
It’s funny how you look at something and don’t like it but can then grow on you. I had a purple (stock color) 1974 Triumph TR6, I said that thing is the ugliest car I’d ever seen I would never own it.. a couple years later I owned it, loved it and kept it for decades.
Is it just me or are premium bike's stupidly expensive these days. It seems to me anything high end you don't get much change out of 20k. It seems even more insane when you consider what a fraction of the money buys you. Bike's like the VFR800 or even Triumphs own ST, which are arguably all the bike anyone needs. Oh unless of course you need a button to press when it rains because you don't have the skills to adapt your riding.
I agree! I'm toying with the idea of buying a friend my old ZRX1200r. Now I can just about afford a fairly new second hand bike but I've found myself drawn to the slightly older models just because there are fewer gadgets on 'em. Maybe we're just too old eh? 🤣🤣
I don't like it! The front looks terrible. With the aggressive and futuristic look of the rear and lazy and an old style of the front this entire motorcycle construction doesn't make a sense. The rear is similar to Buell sport motorcycle, witch of course, has a great prospect for the future motorcycles
Beautiful bike. In my younger days I would have been lusting after it, but now a sports bike riding position is a no no for my wrists. Good job as always, well done Kate.
I feel you Col. I can't handle the wrist position either!! :(
you always have one good quote... "it's grower not a shower" hmmm... I have heard that before used differently.
That’s one bike that’s screaming I want a tail tidy.
Apart from that that’s easily changed I really like it the fairing is beautiful classically styled.
Great video.👍🏻
That’s a really great looking bike. Kudos to the design team at Triumph.
Just a stunning bike. I couldn't cope with that leaned forward riding position for more than 20 minutes though.
The levers need to be angled down a bit more as well. To keep the fingers inline with the wrist when reaching out to grab them
Absolutely agree - looks like slightly adjusted levers could make a big improvement with the wrist pain. First thing I did when I picked up my bike👍
You're right Kate! At first, I wasn't a fan of the looks of it. But, it really does grow on you.
It definitely grows on you!!
Those Triumphs have a unique sound don't they? Listening to the Isle of man racer last night gave me goosies. ☺
Such a good sound!!!
There'll be a healthy market in tail tidy's for this one.
😝😅
Tail looked tidy to me.
What a stunner. Especially in red.
