i loved the little dutch boys
I realize how important photography really is in recording history. In my life of 73 years, there have been so many changes in the medical field, in computer technology, in transportation, and even just carving the highways through mountain passes making roads safer. They are all so amazing!
I am thoroughly impressed with that snow fort. It's amazing!
That father holding his son up with one hand would have social services onto him nowadays!!!
Circus act.
Thought provoking photos. Thanks for sharing.
The pic of the young Dutch boys was a favorite. The tyke on the far left with his impish grin is hilarious. The wooden shoes, perfect.
It's my village volendam
@@heinmolenaar6750 I'm sure you are in a living in a beautiful place. Thank you for sharing. Be well Hein✌🏻
@@SuenosDeLaNoche ❤️💜💚
What impressed me about these pictures were the clothes.
All were fascinating …I especially like the ones around the 1940s ..I was born during WW2.
Electric car 1912, lol. Here we go again
The young ladies/girls wrapping Hershey Kisses. Those looks. My heart felt stabbed. All photos are fantastic! Depicting emotions, so much is conveyed in old photography.
Excellent curating, most of which I have not seen ( I'm70 w/extended travel under my belt) & I really appreciate you explaining the particular photo that was an unknown vehicle to me. A thoughtful, visual delight.
More please. Thank you.
They are wrapping Hersheys! They’re not unhappy and I read that the Hershey family was really good to their employees and their families!
Have you ever worked an assembly line?
Trust me, they're not having an I Love Lucy moment!
i love the little jazz band
You need larger print for older people.
The Steve Jobs photo looked more like a trade show than a Grateful Dead concert.
Those Hershey girls look, quite rightly, fed up bless them
“I Love Lucy!”
But it's not funny. That particular photo got me too.
The 2 cars that you said that didn't last very long. I found that very fascinating because I just love old cars.
Enjoyed!
Thank you for the interesting and education photos
My grandfather owned a model T Ford with steps to get in him and my grandmother came to my wedding in it 🎉 lovely memories
4:40 Those hershey wrappers aren't very happy, they're a bit like modern rappers.
Maybe someday there will be historical photos of you guys!😂
Gets better with every video
Love the old pictures, priceless. Thank you.
So exciting picture of Tutankhamun tomb!!
❤ I really enjoyed them all. Please do more
Loved that playground.
There is a picture of a postwoman but it was labeled postman. Why? ❤️❤️🌻❤️❤️🧕🏼❤️❤️
In 1913 my grandma was 14. Her Dad owned a funeral parlor which they lived above. Lake Shore Dr was just built and my Grandma and her chums had so much fun tooling around LSD and flirting in the company car which happened to be a hearse! It was my grandma's job to bring the death certificates downtown so they made quite a day of it. Apparently, if you could drive then they just went ahead and did it. No license required. But even if it was, what cop would pull over a hearse 😂
You noticed there weren't too many pictures of fat people
lol!
@@BOXCAR1428 You noticed the pictures were posed? If you wanted to see fat people, you had to see the unposed shots of regular people in their neighborhoods. A fat woman was a sign of a good cook. A fat man was a good provider.
My father also worked for Ford Motors he was an Engineer and tool maker
I always thought that ladies in those days were oppressed. They look so much happier than ladies are today.
They didn't know any better....
@@monie1527 They knew their place in their world like everyone did. They weren't stupid. If they were we wouldn't be here today.
@@CouncilOfWolves Wow, just wow. I have no response that can be printed here.
@@monie1527 Same here. Your view of women in the past is astonishingly blinded by modern sentiment.
@@CouncilOfWolves I'm glad you know me so very well....NOT.
Love the old, elegant NYC fashions on the street. The top hat and coat is amazing. . Today, you see everything under the moon - and sometimes the moon itself - on the street. No class anymore.
Posed with models. You can see anything if you design it that way for future gullible viewers.
Well, that is Dan Kottke. He never told me that story...
puddle jumper
Great Photos,,👀😍🤠🇨🇦
6:24 Riding those motorcycles sidesaddle! Those seats have a built-in pad, or bar, under the lady's right arm to support them. I can't imagine riding motorcycles sidesaddle through the streets from modesty, rather than just straddle the damn thing. I'm glad I came from farm stock and have common sense, rather than ladylike sensibilities.
Thank you
There is such poignancy to see people captured on film doing ordinary things on ordinary days...as they have all (mostly) passed from this Earth.
Photographs are so important!
6:43 Back in the days net fix and chill.
Today Netflix and chill ;-)
So very cool and enlightening...
“Net fix and chill” 😂😂😂😂
Many repeats from other videos.
Super interessant 😊Danke!
Can’t call these rarely seen photos with 93,000 views.
1:25 The original Tesla. 😃
3:30 The picture does not match the title. (?) More like a computer show.
kill the music
too slow
Excellent work. Best historical selection!
So interesting. Thank you
10:24 identical twins.
Sweet
I think she is dead. 12:36 It was a thing in the Victorian era to take a photo with your deceased child or relative then. Kind of looks like he's propping her up.
He’s smiling though
@@BeatlesFanSonia Exactly.
nice photos but nothing amazing
Charging an electric car in 1912?
Prototype in early 1800s
