If I remember right the first one was found with a "self inflicted" gunshot "suicide", and the other caught new forms of diseases overnight while being one of the healthiest guys around just a few days before and the other parts of his being so healthy his family didn't see the need for a doctor.
Edit : I checked to make sure, first had a headshot "suicide" and the other had a fast growing mystery infection, which I remember from Penguin's video that not only was he a health nut who didn't need a doctor supposedly beforehand but that doctors didn't know what to call his infection because it was something they'd never seen the likes of before.

This was maybe the best episode of the series.
It showed Clark as a fully fleshed out person, not just Superman's beard. He's actually a brilliant reporter and investigator, and found evidence to prove a man's innocence when no one else even considered looking for it.
He also struggled with coming out as Superman to prove the man's innocence since there was a witness to the car going into the sea. It was an entire internal debate about wether his identity was worth it.

So many adaptations fail to capture the magic of Superman.
for me, it has always been that Superman is the secret identity. That is the mask that Clark Kent puts on so he can do heroic things. Clark Kent is the real person.
it also keeps him in good foil with batman because Batman is the opposite. Bruce Wayn is a mask that Batman wears when he can't be Batman.

The bullet bounces off him and into his soup, but Clark doesn’t react so as to not scare Lois, who didn’t notice/wasn’t looking. The gunman thinks he missed until he looks through his scope and sees the bullet in Clark’s next spoonful of soup and Clark eats it.

You take a legitimate criminal, who has committed many crimes in the past, and blame him for a new crime that he didn't commit.
