Verdant as a word means 'rich grass or plant cover' when talking about places, so it makes sense for it to mean 'more wildlife', or more likely 'increased resources from picking plants / flowers'
The power armor workstation plan is given to you if you complete the Excavator power armor mission and build the whole suit and register it. If you finish the BoS "one of us" you get a level 50 special Ultracite power armor made from a special or found in the Glass cave. If you go in there with the excavator armor you can walk out of there with about 50 ore pieces Ultracite to smelt down to 25 Ultracite scrap (I have about 40 because I had to go in there twice... it is a tough one and there are no workstations in there so bring extra weapons and do not pick up anything but the ore). And yes because of this power armor I found that a suit of power armor still only takes up 10 pounds in you inventory regardless of the weight of the armor pieces. I am not quite level 50 yet so I still carry it around. I also noticed that when I got the full suit of excavator armor the amount of weight I could carry jump 100 pounds... it also doubles you mining, and ignores environmental pollution so no more gas mask. I'm not sure if other power armor types do this last bit or if it is special to the excavator armor. I also had the game glitch and let me build stuff I normally could not. I should have abused it, but I only built a lamp, a bed, and a cook station in a style I did not have plans for. I should have built some better. I was in the build screen and took an item I had built or was in storage and changed it by, changing it to something in the selection with the right arrow. At first it would say I could not build it, but when I picked it up and put it back down it now showed it unlocked and I could build it. I now have the clean vault bed in my camp as well as a table lamp. I have not tried to duplicate this again. Sadly I can not use it to shift to say a better generator or turret. Doing mission and events give you tons of plans. The last 3 days I have gotten probably 50 plans for camp, weapons, and armor. I also have mods too, but I need to throw away most of them because they take up a pound in inventory and I can not do anything else with them. I am actually running out of missions to do as I have finished the Responders, Brotherhood of Steel, Enclave, Raiders, and Free State main mission and the Overseer mission seems to have gone dry after I killed the Scorched version of her boy friend, Evan in the Ash Heap so I might have finished that too. I have about 75-80% of the map explored too. I need to work on Toxic Valley next. I also need to launch a nuke. I think I have 6 codes right now, but while I have found 2 of the silos I have not tried to get into any. I have about 60 hours into the game, so even though there is no replayability in this game I have broken even. I want games to cost me $1 an hour to play or less. I put over 2000 hours into Fallout 4 and still going. Also another thing people might not know is many items level. If it says level 25 you will likely start seeing versions that are level 35 and 45 when you reach those levels (not sure how high they go as I have not reached level 50 yet). If you know how to craft those then you know the higher level versions as soon as you reach that level. The sad things is the lack of screws and springs will severely limit someone big into crafting. Those level 35 Excavator legs require something like 40 springs in each leg. Even though I am level 47 I have level 45 Excavator armor for everything but the legs. Those are still at level 25. The problem is half my combat shotgun upgrades and repairs require up to about 7 springs each as well as screws. I am struggling now to keep my guns working. The hunting rifle and combat rifle are not so bad, so I have had to rely on them, but even my level 30 combat shotgun maxed out did 96 damage (not sure if pirks show on the weapon stats). I have level 40 versions of the combat shotgun and combat rifle, but I am going to be level 50 long before I find enough screws and springs to make them. Finding Ultracite and black titanium is easier than finding screws and springs. Nuclear material is also a bit tricky to find enough of too, but I only need that for a few things. I do have a fatman and mini nuke plans, but the base fatman only does 150 damage. I did get a legendary one from I think the Enclave that is only 6 pounds... only a fraction of its normal weight. I am going to hold onto that, but I likely will not use it often if ever as the mini nukes weigh 6 pounds each.
From what I noticed regarding the nuke codes, is that they have a set day to expire, as I found 2 during one session then they expired the next, which wasn't a week after. (I didn't pay attention to which day it was though.)
Have you checked out crafting bulk items at the tinkerer crafting table? It takes the small scrap items of raw materials and combines them into lighter items(overall). I don't think it saves much, but you should be able to squeeze out a few more pounds.
Instead of water items you can also use Healing Salves. They're percentage based healing. So at level 1 you'd get at least 50 points of health from them. On PC at least your radial menu corresponds to the number keys so you can hotkey them as a secondary healing button(H is the Stimpak quick heal, though it also sits on the radial menu).
3:35 May suck a little but after finishing making the entire excavator power armor the prizes for finishing the quest is the power armor crafting station build plan
also a cool "feature" when having luck cards that give more ammo or meds you have to not only take items from ammo/med containers you have to press "space" on them to find extra loot i'm level 24 and i just noticed this.
Also, make sure you gather plastic. 2 plastic allows you to "bulk" your scrap at a Tinkerers Workbench. Taking 10-15 Items and reducing them to a single item and weight. You can half your Stash weight just by bulking your scrap.
Pro tip if you go into the Bog head immediately to Watoga because you can get a lot of metal and some fusion cells plus a power armor near the entrance
So, here's a slightly off topic question potentially for the end of your next video: Psychology regarding placation as a means to control a negative emotion or potentially negative desire. IE: Whether there is any psychological basis to "Vaping" as a means to quitting smoking. Placating oral fixation while reducing nicotine dependency. As an additional aside, whether this same psychological effect, if indeed valid, could be used to achieve independence on a carnal knowledge level.
Don't know if you've found this but, if you level and select your SPECIAL point, let's say intelligence, but if you use the card filter (z & C) and say pick a strength card, you get a point in intelligence and that strength card. Handy for getting those cards you might want as a back up for switching out and if you have something in your deck for a specific special. Eg, I needed a point in strength so I selected strength in my level (but I had the card I wanted) so I filtered to the intelligence cards and picked the power armour repair card. So now I can have the active strength card I wanted while swapping out the crafting card when needed. - Head.BeeGuy
you can also get the power armor workstation from a quest where you have to build excavator power armor but you have to be at least 25 to do it. the quest is called miner miracles
Funny story, which is probably pretty known at this point: don't spend your caps on the power armor station. wait until level 25, do the whole Excavation Armor quest, and as soon as you have a full set, you get the plan for free ;)
Here's another Tip. If your C.A.M.P budget is almost full but you haven't placed down anything yet, it's because everything you built prior is saved in your Stored area in the building screen as either objects or blueprints. everything thats stored counts towards the C.A.M.P budget.
For the perk cards, I got a level 25 card out of chance when I was only a level 9. The card is grayed out and you are not able to use it until you hit that specific level.
Oh Emm GOODNESS! I had to stop the video for a moment, I was laughing so hard at the crawling protectron and the corseted male PC at the 1 minute mark!
The nuke codes only last a week according to a Bethesda support employee that told me when I asked about the codes disappearing. It apparently happens to keep people from hoarding them
What's odd is, I'm pretty sure they picked the songs for the radios in Fallout specifically because they were old enough to be out of copyright (Thus why the game doesn't play "Christmas at Ground Zero" in Decmber, or "So Long, Mom" by Tom Lehrer. Unless they had someone record covers of the songs for the game and copyrighted those themselves?
You don't even need to buy the plans for the power armor station. Upon making the set of excavator power armor and registering it at the location you get the plans for it, it gives you plans for the power armor station
About scrapping weapons: IDK if it's with all weapons but when I scrapped a gun it would give me a random attachment you can put on it, So I just got a lot of the same weapon (ex. Bolt action rifle) and just scrapped them and kept getting attachments for them until I couldn't get anymore attachments
Really wish the level up/perk system in-game was laid out like that chart online. It seems way better and I can see everything on the screen rather than have to go through three overlapping pages, which inevitably leads me to make mistakes, like picking a wrong card or choosing a wrong special point. Even after hours of gameplay I still don't understand it :(
You can get every single mutation at once. My main character has Speed Demon, Marsupial, Plague Walker, Bird Bones, Twisted Muscles andHealing Factor. People seem to dislike carnivore for some reason but personally I believe herbivore is much less practical considering pretty much everything you kill gives meat. Sure you have to spend durability to get said meat but since you'll likely be killing things anyway I like it. It is also worth taking into consideration that canned/packaged foods still satiate you so even if you run out of meat if you keep some spare salisbury or canned dog food on you that will still work. Also about the criticals it seems to me that ballistic weapons are guaranteed a hit with criticals, either that or I am getting consistently lucky in terms of landing the shot with very low odds (20% and below) as a matter of fact I often use criticals to increase focus and thus accuracy in vats (concentrated fiire).
you don't need to buy the power armor station plan, its also a quest reward after you build the excavator power armor. SOuth of the map, something like Calahan Mining, can't remember the name exactly.
I am pretty sure the vats crit does in fact guarantee that you hit. I am running sneaky sniper build and have on multiple occasions turned on my crit at a headshot with like 15% chance to hit and they have never missed yet. I don't think that is a coincidence. The lowest one was a 6% that hit and did double damage sneak crit to one shot some legendary elite that was 10 levels higher than me lol.
The quest to get the excavator power armour gives you a power armour crafting stand plans. The only hard part was finding the screws. Level 25 needed for the power armour. Another thing to note is the weight of some of the common scrap you get loads of. For me it was steel. Had tons, way more than i could ever use. Also don't forget to actually read the plans you get. Just because you picked it up doe not mean it unlocks. Also clear out redundant plans and recipes that you have doubled up on every now and again. Every bit of weight matters.
I’ve been looking forward to fallout 76 for a few months now and I am really looking forward to playing after work today. I’ve watched all your fallout 76 videos and they’ve been really entertaining. I am looking forward to seeing more videos from your channel
Yes, tips! 👍 Edit: I *LOVE* the mutation options! And I'm glad the nuke launch codes don't expire as quickly as I've heard the actual ones do IRL, lol -- then there's no way I'd ever be able to get them all! 😂
I got power armor station plans as a reward for finishing the miner miracles aka building the excavator power armor at lev 25 and also wearing the excavator armor seemed to give me 80-90 more carry weight over my t45 power armor etc even though its not listed on the armor
Hey JuiceHead, I did some pretty extensive testing on mutations if you want to hear what I found out. Specifically that the number of mutations you have does NOT affect the chance of gaining another.
@@chaosacsend9653 yeah nuclear winter will be nice and if it has like storms and fogs that you cant see whats is in front of you it will be very immersive.
I've just had this question for a little while, does the gore system still apply to melee weapons? I've killed many scorched and ghouls with melee weapons and nothing really happens, although in the trailer and other game play guns can still blow off limbs. Is there a certain perk card that allows it or does it just not happen? Yes I am using two handed weapons
The first day patch obviously isn't up yet, so anyone playing is basically still playing the beta. So for anyone complaining about stash size or certain things not changed, just wait until the legit release time for the patch
5:02 i have seen many streamers youtubers get the weapon mods from scrapping if it was already on the weapon when you picked it up or looted it, but that sucks you can't make a mod and scrap it back
I believe it's on Mondays or Tuesdays. I say this because I had 7 of the 8 alpha codes a bravo and a charlie, 3 of the alpha codes I found on the day they were all destroyed, so my theory is they will blow up on a set date no matter what, or (this one I think is not the case but I'll mention it anyways) if one explodes they all explode.
I got a call yesterday morning from EB Games saying I could pick up my PC copy any time. Got home, punched in my code, and I was good to go. I pre-ordered and thus had the beta installed, so I didn't even have to install or update.
The early access is for PC players who did the digital pre-order. I play on PC, but have the physical pre-order so it didn't allow me to play (probably because there's a code coming in the game box that I have to claim).
To expand on the psychology fact, the study was for inheritance of violence and if some one would get married if their parents didn't. To apply the violence at a young age with out the criminal background of any parent is to use that study incorrectly.
Yeah, I'm so annoyed that perk card is such a high level cap, I had speed demon and a perk that gave me +2 of every special while in a group and -2 when not in a group but the thing is I'm always in a group. I didn't want to lose either of these before getting the card so I tried being careful with rads and when I went to pop a radx I accidentally popped a radaway and the rest was history ;(
also a good tip: dont bother repairing armour ya can build yourself - rebuilding it completely new at higher lvl is cheaper then repairing it... (without specific perks at least) (it also seems to give more condition to the item when build new, but not sure...)
This isn't really an important thing you can do in the game maybe everyone who played it knows about it. But you can move the pipboy around I'd assume this is here so you can look at the pipboy skins. Thought it was a really neat feature and wanted to share.
My friend and I both have seven mutations; Mine consist of -Marsupial -Speed Demon -Talons -Poisonous Aura -Bird Bones -Electrically Charged -Grounded so it's definitely possible
Mindy Auron You always have great comments and questions, Mindy! This was my question, as well. I pick up lots of plastic junk so that I can put all my raw resource components in bulk, but I never paid attention to whether or not there was much (or any) difference in weight. I just assume it helps, or it wouldn’t be a separate option from regular scrapping, so I kept doing it whenever possible. 😁
K-Anator™ Thank you for answering. I will try looking it up and see the consensus from various sources. If it weighs more, generally, than regular scrapping, I wonder what the use for it would be?

I do not know if someone already mentions, but you can pick a Perk card from a different stat than you are leveling by using z or c to cycle through.
From what I noticed regarding the nuke codes, is that they have a set day to expire, as I found 2 during one session then they expired the next, which wasn't a week after. (I didn't pay attention to which day it was though.)
Wow for once I actually missed all the details in one of these videos
Probably because I haven’t played the game yet
You can also store as many fusion cores in a suit as you want. That can really save weight when you start to collect a lot of them.
also a cool "feature" when having luck cards that give more ammo or meds you have to not only take items from ammo/med containers you have to press "space" on them to find extra loot i'm level 24 and i just noticed this.
I see you dropping knowledge at the end there much appreciated
Perk packs can give you cards that you are not high enough to manual pick but you can’t use them until you are the right level.
Oh Emm GOODNESS! I had to stop the video for a moment, I was laughing so hard at the crawling protectron and the corseted male PC at the 1 minute mark!
The nuke codes only last a week according to a Bethesda support employee that told me when I asked about the codes disappearing. It apparently happens to keep people from hoarding them
But I like to hoard things ☹️ lol
Even after hours of gameplay I still don't understand it :(
More Vidjas like this !!! Great job. Find the things less commonly known, hidden gems
it's a good practice to do an overlay with text in the video about a feature that you talking about and its number.
Oh, I didn't know about these. Thank you!
The verdant season might have something to do with the responder quest where you have to collect soil samples around the middle of the map
you don't need to buy the power armor station plan, its also a quest reward after you build the excavator power armor.
Thanks for the storage tip; the sad thing is, I'm still permanently overencumbered. I guess it's time to drop my steel bars.
I hate being a peasant
I like that comment
I’ve been looking forward to fallout 76 for a few months now and I am really looking forward to playing after work today. I’ve watched all your fallout 76 videos and they’ve been really entertaining. I am looking forward to seeing more videos from your channel
Yes, tips! 👍
Edit: I *LOVE* the mutation options!
And I'm glad the nuke launch codes don't expire as quickly as I've heard the actual ones do IRL, lol -- then there's no way I'd ever be able to get them all! 😂
How fast IRL?
Juicehead Pretty sure you can buy mutation at the Enclave bunker! It cost caps but you can pick and choose which ones you want!
the verdant season seems like its there for survival purposes to give you more animals to hunt for food and other plant life for food and crafting.
I don't believe you need to pick the corresponding special to get a specific card. It just increases the allotment for card into your deck.
Seasons will be very cool if they add them.
Nuclear winter yes
@@chaosacsend9653 yeah nuclear winter will be nice and if it has like storms and fogs that you cant see whats is in front of you it will be very immersive.
It does have seasons most noticeable in the mire
@@Hhhh-gf4fu realy nice i just ordered it i will check it myself
Also, you can get the power armor workstation plan free by completing the graham mining complex quest to build the excavator armor
Anyone else find it strange Juice isn't talking about modding already kicking off, ya know considering he's whole channel is based on fallout mods
The inability to remove mods/replace weapon mods with the lesser variants is disappointing, that was a big part of my play in F04.
The first day patch obviously isn't up yet, so anyone playing is basically still playing the beta. So for anyone complaining about stash size or certain things not changed, just wait until the legit release time for the patch
Dude your videos have been saving me from boredom waiting for fallout 4... er um I mean 76
You realize that the classical music on the classical music station is all public domain, right? It's free to use. You can play that during streams.
This is getting me keen to go back and play Fallout 4 again
I got a call yesterday morning from EB Games saying I could pick up my PC copy any time. Got home, punched in my code, and I was good to go. I pre-ordered and thus had the beta installed, so I didn't even have to install or update.
Missed the feature where the server crashes every 30mins and you have the pleasure of capturing all your settlements again .
Nice video👍 learned something.
The early access is for PC players who did the digital pre-order. I play on PC, but have the physical pre-order so it didn't allow me to play (probably because there's a code coming in the game box that I have to claim).
Always, always bulk your materials at Tinker's workbench, it makes them much, much lighter
The nuke launch code thing is said in the game but it's really late in the main quest line.
If you complete the powerarmor quest at lvl 25 (The excavator set) You get the plans for power armor craft station ;)
To expand on the psychology fact, the study was for inheritance of violence and if some one would get married if their parents didn't. To apply the violence at a young age with out the criminal background of any parent is to use that study incorrectly.
Hey juicehead if you finish the excavator armor mission at level 25 as I did you get the plans for a power armour station!
Yeah, I'm so annoyed that perk card is such a high level cap, I had speed demon and a perk that gave me +2 of every special while in a group and -2 when not in a group but the thing is I'm always in a group. I didn't want to lose either of these before getting the card so I tried being careful with rads and when I went to pop a radx I accidentally popped a radaway and the rest was history ;(
also a good tip:
dont bother repairing armour ya can build yourself - rebuilding it completely new at higher lvl is cheaper then repairing it... (without specific perks at least)
(it also seems to give more condition to the item when build new, but not sure...)
This isn't really an important thing you can do in the game maybe everyone who played it knows about it. But you can move the pipboy around I'd assume this is here so you can look at the pipboy skins. Thought it was a really neat feature and wanted to share.
Verdant Season makes plants give double when harvested. No clue if it works with that perk that gives more for harvesting.
Keep me busy until midnight.
same add me i got places in my squad open for tonight on ps4 PSN:THIRSTYKILLER
Same😥
Very useful knowledge thank you.
My friend and I both have seven mutations; Mine consist of
-Marsupial
-Speed Demon
-Talons
-Poisonous Aura
-Bird Bones
-Electrically Charged
-Grounded
so it's definitely possible
Interesting you didn't mention making "bulk" variants of materials at a Tinker station.
I was playing Fallout 76 yesterday (which was Monday) for PS4 and watched my nuke launch codes expire. It's an intended feature.
Does putting components in bulk actually help reduce total weight? I think it does from when I tried it
Mindy Auron You always have great comments and questions, Mindy! 😁
IIRC there's only a few of them that actually benefit from bulk, the other stuff actually weighs more. I wish I knew where I saw this. Reddit maybe?
K-Anator™ Thank you for answering. I will try looking it up and see the consensus from various sources. If it weighs more, generally, than regular scrapping, I wonder what the use for it would be?
Cause u can sell bulk scrap to a vendor unlike loose scrap
