Faroe Islands have for years, so it's about time that the last country of the Kingdom of Denmark gets included. But Greenland does at least have a handball team that's recognized.
@@H33333 UK has 4 national teams, Spain could have 3... Spain, Catalonia and Basque Country.... they'd all be competitive.... more competitive than Wales or Northern Ireland...
In my opinion Catalonia should be registered by FIFA, but sadly there are two main issues: * Catalonia by law is seen as part of Spain, despite having their own culture and language. Similarly to Scotland, Catalonia have tried to gain independence but while they did 'win' the voting was seen as illegal. * Even if they did get registered it would mean players born there can not play for Spain, if they were to win caps.
I knew before for the Monaco national football team. But I don't know why they are not accepted as a full member of FIFA and UEFA as they pass all conditions for that.
Greenland can be joined and for the others it's impossible because spain refuses to give the basque and catalonia independence and also the spain national team will become much worse and for monaco and vatican they are not even real countries to have national teams
Some great Strips there class, BUT most importantly there should never bee separated countries/terrotries like kirdistan and Turkish Republic of Northern Cypras they should have em in these tournaments anyway regardless emagen fixtures like Sampi V USA Greenland V Italy Vatican City V Bulgaria Gozo V England
Catalonia is an unofficial "national" team as the region of Catalonia is internationally recognized as part of the Spain. So Catalonian National Team isn't recognized by neither FIFA nor UEFA. They participate in tournament which is periodically held between unrecognized countries but that's that. Those tournaments are not recognized by FIFA and UEFA. Same with Basques.
Catalonia's and Greenland's teams are not national, they're regional! Despite its name, the Basque Country is not a country, it's an autonomous community! Also, football teams wear kits not uniforms!
What gets me is the fact that "Green Land" has mainly ice, and ICELAND, if I'm remembering correctly is not colder than Greenland. Way to be fake to your own name 🤣💀
Nah, it's a national team as it's representing the Catalan Nation, similar to how the Scottish, English and Welsh teams represent their nations. I can see them being a FIFA recognised team, but it'll be like northern Ireland, where players have a choice to represent either Ireland or Northern Ireland based on their ethnic and national identity
@@SantiagoS-mz4zz well the question with Catalonia, and by extension the Basque country, is "are Scotland, Wales and England having their own national team the exception or the rule?" As it is very arguable that they could've all been grandfathered in
Because those matches are friendly. It is the same as if you organise a friendly match with your friends against a national team and pay for an official referee. Having the money, all is possible.

If Basque country got their own national team their whole player is from Athletico Bilbao
