I think Rory was in a crap relationship with Logan. She was being used, and using him in return. A bad relationship can bring out the worst in anyone. Rory is a great person, both as a compassionate human being and as a capable and intelligent young woman, so once she creates some distance from the situation she was in and starts to gain some perspective, she'll get all of that back. But it's true that she needed to get herself together and figure things out in the reboot. Not sure why the show-runners are so determined to give Rory the experience of "the side piece" in more than one plotline (already happened with Dean, for goodness' sake, why do they need it to happen again?).
I was always team Jess and Dean for different reasons and yes Jess is to good for Rory but am I the only thing that thinks Milo is over the whole Gilmore thing? I dunno. I would love to see the show come back for Netflix spin off every so often but if that will happen or not I dunno.
Jess was an intellect like her, therefore I always felt he was the right choice. The way Rory's character is now, Jess has surpassed her and I think is only there to help direct her in the right path like he did before when she was dating Logan and decided to drop out of school.

Well yes and in general there is truth in fiction. He's also talking about universal truths about love as well. But of course that includes himself. His personal experience gives him an understanding.
I feel like Jess' feelings are more in the ball park of "I'm willing to let go if she is and to be friends, but should the opportunity arise where I fight for her, I will." Both characters shaped each other so nicely and their personalities are so complimentary. Dean was too nice, overprotective, and was basically a yes man. Logan was a rich boy who (I think) had feelings of ownership over Rory, almost like he won her and was his prize who he couldn't let go. Jess was so much more. Jess respected her and her opinions and always put her first. I don't know. Should the writers have Rory reunite with any of her past loves, I think they would pass the writing opportunity of a lifetime if they didn't have her end up with Jess.

Logan is the father but eventually Jess will get back together with Rory. There was strong hints/foreshadowing. Logan = Christopher / Jess = Luke / Rory = Lorelai
I always liked Jess probably because he was smart, interesting and a bad boy. I thought it was really interesting how he was always the screwed up one, but he ended up giving Rory advice about writing a book. But you see this is life, even if you are a Yale graduate and you are really smart, you saw that she wasn't as driven in her university career, distracted easily and she was really into Logan when you saw that Logan is a lot like her father--charming, intelligent but he's not husband material.
Totally agree with all the comments here about Milo talking about his real life relationship with Alexis 🥰 And I love how at 1:35 , when he was talking about "relationships you hold on to", whoever edited this chose a real life pic of them 😂 they knew exactly what they were doing 😂😍
He definitely talks about the real relationship. You can understand it when he switches the subject from 'Jess' to 'I' and then stop for a microsecond where he realises what he is just done. Then he takes control again and he completes the sentence in a more 'appropriate' way. Anyway of course he feels for her and for the show, it's a piece of their life. A very special one. GG's has the ability to create emotions, that connects people.
I think Milo was spot on about Jess’ feelings about Rory. As for the crew I didn’t think of that, for the audience it seems reunited but for them there was still something missing. I feel like Jess will always love Rory but he’s realised that, that “time” of his life with her is in the past therefore it’s a little painful for him. Jess is Rory’s Luke. #teamjessforever
Was he just talking about Jess and Rory or actually his own relationship with Alexis? LOL. Maybe both. From the outside they seemed pretty similar people, both very private and all that. I was never huge Gilmore girls fan, but I really loved Jess and Rory together. It made the show so much exciting. Maybe partly because they were actually dating and have this chemistry. I love Milo at This Is Us, but to me he is always Jess. Bad boy with good heart! Jess and Rory always!
I am glad I am not the only one that feels he was also talking about their real life relationship, and now that they are both single at the same time my heart would burst if they reunited.
I am team jess all the way. He's been always there for Rory when she need him. I hope they have more episodes and seasons in the future because I can see Jess become a good role model like Luke was to Rory as a father figure. RORY and Jess!!!
Abhinaya Mary Koshy That wouldn't make sense. Logan is like a Little Christopher - rich, entitled, gets Rory into shenanigans. Jess is obviously Luke. His appearances on the show are short and always for getting Rory back on the right track (he got her back to Yale and also encouraged her to write her own book). Luke has always been the support system for Lorelei, and Jess is the support system for Rory. Amy and Dan said that the show is about the circle of low, history repeating itself over and over again. So it would make total sense for Rory to get pregnant from the handsome, charming, classy yet a tad ego-centric Logan, but raise the baby with the cheeky, a bit rude, yet kind Jess who is always there when Rory really needs help. The fact that Lorelei almost never approved of Jess reminds so much of how Lorelei's mom never approved of Luke.
That's too much of a circle to be life, though, I don't care what Amy says. Logan doesn't strike me as being too much like Christopher. Yes, they're both rich, and they both had a thing with a Gilmore girl. But Logan seems to be more level headed, mature, assertive, self dependent, etc, than Chris. He seems more career-oriented and smart, than Christopher. And Logan and Rory had an actual, adult, long-term relationship which was progressing towards a marriage. I doubt Chris and Lorelai ever had that. Jess may be carrying a torch for Rory, still, but it didn't seem like she had any left over feelings for him. It was one-sided. On the other hand, after their latest break up, Logan and Rory seemed really, really sad, wistful. Both of them. It hit them both very hard. And btw, it was Rory who got herself into shenanigans, not Logan. He just went with it, gave her company, and treated her like an adult. And there is a difference between Lorelai disapproving of Jess, and her mother disapproving of Luke, in that, Lorelai and Rory are very close, and if she disapproved of the latter's boyfriend, it's because she thinks he isn't the right kind of guy for Rory. If Lorelai's mother disapproved of Luke, it's because she's thinking of the differences in their statuses and prestige. She and Lorelai don't seem to be that close.
You might have forgotten that Christopher and Lorelai were in a relationship as adults too, but it didn't work out. The chemistry was there but they weren't meant for each other, just like I think Rory and Logan aren't. It's always odd for me that there are people who favor this relationship - albeit Matt Czuchry is insanely cute, the character he plays is often condescending to others. Not to mention that in the revival, these two characters got together when BOTH of them were in relationships with others... That alone is just terrible, absolute low for Rory, who apparently hasn't matured a tiny bit since her affair with Dean who was married to Lindsay at the time.
I think this man is beautiful, inside and out. Even when he was younger, when he first appeared as Jess, he seemed to exude certain wisdom. His deep eyes and unique intonation aroused my curiosity. I'm a Korean girl who just recently learned about Gilmore Girls (thanks to Netflix). I'm in Season 3 now and I fell in love with Jess. :)
coming from a broadcasting job i gotta say i like stars who share a genuine and good relationship to the crew. the ones i worked with were inconsiderate in so many ways. Milo shouting out the value of the original crew off the bat is really nice.
meh at the beginning I thought Rory was to good for Jess but at the end I was like meh he deserves better than Rory so I truly hope he's not the father !!
Love Jess and Rory, have ALWAYS been *Team Jess*. What Milo says is very beautiful and bittersweet. And realistically I can see what he means, their lives have gone in very different directions...but there's still love there...there will always be love there. Whether it's romantic or not (*I hope it's still romantic!*), there's still a deep connection with each other. But honestly! WHEN THE F$CK DID HE HAVE TIME TO SLEEP WiTH RORY AND GET HER PREGNANT! He's OBVIOUSLY not the father! 😂😂😂
If I had to have an honest conversation with Milo Ventimiglia, I am sure he would admit that his best romantic relationship was with Alexis Bledel. Morever I am sure he would admit to regretting not fighting for the relationship and not marrying her
Melody G he was the best boyfriend for her. Now I can understand why she didn’t wanna leave with him during season 4 considering the season before he left without saying goodbye so it’s not like she was gonna trust him and wanna run off with him. But when he really had it together I wish the writers brought him back and given their relationship another chance. Even if Rory screws up she’s always taken his advice, like going back to Yale, and writing a book about her and her mom.
its more than what he said....she got him out of his rut and he got her on her feet to go back into journalism and also to write a book they were the only ones who can inspire and motivate one another so yes they are so for each other
Jess is too good for Rory, in the revival I hate the person Rory became! But the story comes full circle, because now Rory is a single mom to Logan’s kid. Jess will probably be there for her like Luke was for Lorali
Woah why does it seem like he's talking about himself and Alexis in real life when he's talking about about Rory and Jess! It felt like it came from his heart, for something that was real and actually happened and wasn't just a tv series story. 💔
I love what Milo says about being a big crew person. I can't imagine if I changed jobs and decided to go back to an old workplace and had to work with 95% different coworkers, how odd that would feel. Like being in an alternate reality lol.
I've always been team Jess as I love the pair together, even in the first season he was in the show, but as far as being too good for her, no he's not, they both have experienced a past now, and you know, I think they have matured equally.
As much as I think Rory brings out the best qualities in Logan, I think Logan brings out some of Rory's worst qualities. It's not an equal partnership. I've always thought Jess would grow into a man Rory could build a life with, but I don't think we'll ever see the true ending, without another Year in the Life. Team Jess all the way. In the interviews from after, you can tell that Jared Padelecki wishes Dean had more of a role in the revival.
I think he was talking about his relationship with Alexis. He admitted on an interview on men's health magazine at the end of their relationship he didn't treat Alexis the way she deserved, and she broken up with him. And it hurt both of them because they have talked about getting married. He said, he regret it and he also mentioned on that interview that Alexis " was beautiful inside out, what you see is what you get."
@@thelmatendean5971 That explains a lot! I knew it! It is unfortunate that he realizes this now! They would have been the power couple and would had pretty babies!
I 100% think that Jess is the "baby daddy". Logan is too obvious, because we know they kept hooking up occasionally. No, I like to think that Rory finally slept with Jess (the only boyfriend she didn't sleep with during the original run) off-screen at some point. Jess being the father would be such a great twist.
When he said GG wasn't the same, he articulated my thoughts about the revival. It wasn't the same for the characters and so it wasn't the same for the audience...i hated how the revival was forcing old GG into new GG. The momentum wasn't there anymore...you can't top the original series and they shouldn't have forced a new one...[even though I was extremely looking forward to it] "the moment has passed"
Does somebody feel that Milo is taking about himself? Like if he really were Jess, think about it, Alexis and Milo where dating when they record season 2 and 3., then they broke up... so... i really think deeper this interview👀🥺 Btw, I’m soooooo team Jess lol
#teamjess he is her Luke clearly, the baby is definitely Logan’s but Jess is a father not Logan, like Luke is a father not Christopher. Jess grows her, Logan is an arm piece and lots of fun, he says go for it Rory on the sideline, he supports her for sure but he doesn’t grow or feed her, Jess does and always will...
What's interesting is they dated . So, too did their characters. How he talks about Jess /Rory is also a feeling that they shared as a couple. It's ALWAYS going to be in their lives. Not intimate anymore, but shared intimacy will always be remembered. Hopefully they aren't enemies. From watching the series , Rory has a respect for Jess' opinion. She takes his advice every time. Maybe they should just remain friends. Or not.
lorelai in the earlier series implicated that when rory was born, she needed christopher to step up and get his life together and he only did later but with sherrie, i feel like now jess did the same thing but with his carreer
A Lot of people compares Logan and Cristopher and Jess and Luke but i think if you put it That way, actually, Jess is to Rory like "Lorelai's Cristopher" because they "grow up together" for example, Lorelai came from this life, ya know? (Rich people coff, coff) and Luke was the kind of guy she wasn't used to, unlike rory, she grow up with this kind of life, more simple, she was used to guys like Luke or Jess, so meeting Logan was like Lorelai meeting Luke. Or like the way Cristopher knew Lorelai so well, (because they have known each other for such a long time) and Jess knows Rory he Even says that "i know you, i know you better than anyone" i hope You actually understand what i'm sayin hahahaha This is just to say that JESS AND RORY WERE ENDGAME (Even tho Rory didn't deserved him at the end haha)
I wonder if Milo's description of fictional characters Jess & Rory, is him also making a description of how he feels about Alexis and their past relationship 🤔
I've never seen Gilmore Girls, but as far as I know, a lot of fans said he was the best boyfriend she had. Even though I don't understand their relationship. I mean, I don't understand none of the protagonist's relationships. I tried to read on Wikipedia but I didn't understand their relationship, really.
Writing this 2/4/2020. GG season 9 is coming. Mostly because fans didn't think Jess and Rory's story was complete. He ALWAYS steered her back to her passion .He seems to have never stopped loving her. Also, who's baby is she carrying? So stay tuned.
Jesse's character on The Gilmore Girls was that of a free radical. His off-camera Persona reminds me of Joe montania who also preferred the company of the crew.
Lorelai-Jess/Lane (All Moody, All Rebellious, All Sacrifice For Rory) Mrs.Kim-Dave (Both Sensitive, Afraid Of Losing Lane) Christopher-Rory (Both Sweet, Both Cheerful and Moody, Both Flakey) Sookie-Dean (Sweet But Controlling) Jackson-Zack (Lovable Lunkheads) Max-Marty (Manipulative And Boring) Jason-Logan (Rich Snobs) Richard-Luke (Grumpy But Reliable) Emily-Paris (Controlling & Manipulative)

theworldastage this is good point... but Rory met Logan (Christopher) is a much different time than her mother.
Exactly
theworldastage I feel like Dean would be the new Luke.
theworldastage I agree. It felt obvious that that’s what they were hinting at.
I’m still #teamjess and I want a finale with them together wrapped up in a nice little bow ❤️
Logan will apparently never get out from under the thumb of his father.
Totally agree with all the comments here about Milo talking about his real life relationship with Alexis 🥰 And I love how at 1:35 , when he was talking about "relationships you hold on to", whoever edited this chose a real life pic of them 😂 they knew exactly what they were doing 😂😍
I wonder if he Was he talking about Jess#s Feelings for Rory or about his for Alexis?
hrjw yah it made me feel very emotional
I was thinking the same thing. LOL.
I think he started out talking about Rory and then eventually he started talking about his real relationship feelings for Alexis....
It’s both. Because them and their characters went through nearly the same thing.
omg i thought the same thing
As someone who works in a technical film crew it feels good to see an actor appreciate his crew
I just don't like Luke. Christopher was the one for Lorelai, he loved and respected her. Luke was a loner. Shouldn't have been romantic, just friends.
5 years later and I'm Still feeling the gut punch of Gilmore Girls a Year in the Life
Jess & Rory !! ♥
Great interview, I like his way of thinking about their relationship
Was he just talking about Jess and Rory or actually his own relationship with Alexis? LOL. Maybe both. From the outside they seemed pretty similar people, both very private and all that. I was never huge Gilmore girls fan, but I really loved Jess and Rory together. It made the show so much exciting. Maybe partly because they were actually dating and have this chemistry. I love Milo at This Is Us, but to me he is always Jess. Bad boy with good heart! Jess and Rory always!
He describes love so poetically. It’s beautiful♥️
I am glad I am not the only one that feels he was also talking about their real life relationship, and now that they are both single at the same time my heart would burst if they reunited.
He’s not single 😢 he’s with a woman named jarah Mariano, a gossip site posted a pic of them at a housewarming party for his new Malibu house recently.
@@ariellerusso5191 Mariano??? Ja,ja
@@nairimflanders2847 they broke up.
@@MoiraHeim is this true?
@@officialtomandcarla3589 yup it is.
I am team jess all the way. He's been always there for Rory when she need him. I hope they have more episodes and seasons in the future because I can see Jess become a good role model like Luke was to Rory as a father figure. RORY and Jess!!!
Like it was said by many, it's most likely that Jess is not the father but that he will be a father figure to the child - just like Luke was to Rory.
Imbra Kim Or it could be the reverse. Jess' the father, but Logan marries Rory and ends up raising it.
That's Rory's problem. It has nothing to do with choosing one out of Logan or Jess. Or even Dean.
We don't even know if Jess is single.
U mean if alexis was not married, milo and alexis couldve gotten back together?? :(
marszipan they were dating for 4 years!
alexis is divorced now
I think he was expressing his true feelings for Alexis, After all the were together in real life.
My favourite moment of the scene was when jess threw lukes cap away
meh at the beginning I thought Rory was to good for Jess but at the end I was like meh he deserves better than Rory so I truly hope he's not the father !!
LittleWeirdo my fandom has arrived (hint your icon)
LittleWeirdo SAME!!! RORY IS SUCH A JERK
LittleWeirdo It’s clear Logan’s the father. People need to stop
forcing Team Jeas
I don't even think they slept together. Its kind of silly to think he's the father.
Exactly. Their relationship was not like that during the reunion. I would hope that if they were going to hook up that it would be pretty obvious.
Yeah it's not Jess's it's logan's
We are foolish with our dreams. Our hearts want what they want.
If I had to have an honest conversation with Milo Ventimiglia, I am sure he would admit that his best romantic relationship was with Alexis Bledel. Morever I am sure he would admit to regretting not fighting for the relationship and not marrying her
Pretty sure Rory’s life is supposed to be like her mom’s.
Chris = Logan so he’s the father from a rich family
Luke = Jess so the one she ends up with
I want this engraved on something.
when jess got his shit together, rory shouldve given him another chance. hes changed so much, and became the best man he could be, i think
Jess definitely still loves Rory & in my head they’re together rn .
its more than what he said....she got him out of his rut and he got her on her feet to go back into journalism and also to write a book they were the only ones who can inspire and motivate one another so yes they are so for each other
When u love someone and the moment has passed...true life
Jess is too good for Rory, in the revival I hate the person Rory became!
But the story comes full circle, because now Rory is a single mom to Logan’s kid. Jess will probably be there for her like Luke was for Lorali
wow he’s such a poetic human being
Lauren P. Couldn’t agree more haha
Jess and Rory are soul mates ☕ prove me wrong
Woah why does it seem like he's talking about himself and Alexis in real life when he's talking about about Rory and Jess! It felt like it came from his heart, for something that was real and actually happened and wasn't just a tv series story. 💔
jess and rory for life
I love what Milo says about being a big crew person. I can't imagine if I changed jobs and decided to go back to an old workplace and had to work with 95% different coworkers, how odd that would feel. Like being in an alternate reality lol.
I wonder what Milo and Alexis' relationship was like...
Team Jess, Team Milo, sign me up😂💞
Oh c’mon, Amy Sherman-Palladino!You gotta give one of television’s most loved couple a happy ending!!!t
I got the impression he was talking about him and Alexis and not Jess and Rory..
I've always been team Jess as I love the pair together, even in the first season he was in the show, but as far as being too good for her, no he's not, they both have experienced a past now, and you know, I think they have matured equally.
The ending was so cute and funny lol “but it could be” 😊😂
As much as I think Rory brings out the best qualities in Logan, I think Logan brings out some of Rory's worst qualities.
I feel like he was talking about Alexis and not Rory 🤷🏽♀️
I think he was talking about his relationship with Alexis. He admitted on an interview on men's health magazine at the end of their relationship he didn't treat Alexis the way she deserved, and she broken up with him. And it hurt both of them because they have talked about getting married. He said, he regret it and he also mentioned on that interview that Alexis " was beautiful inside out, what you see is what you get."
@@thelmatendean5971 That explains a lot! I knew it! It is unfortunate that he realizes this now! They would have been the power couple and would had pretty babies!
Thelma Tendean where can i find that interview? Im crying
@@thelmatendean5971 wow, he really did fuck up. I heard he was super depressed after she ended it, but I guess he had it coming.
@@thelmatendean5971 where is this from? which interview? my heart omg
Hahaha I love milo!! Hes super authentic whether as Jess or not
Does somebody feel that Milo is taking about himself? Like if he really were Jess, think about it, Alexis and Milo where dating when they record season 2 and 3., then they broke up... so... i really think deeper this interview👀🥺
Btw, I’m soooooo team Jess lol
Not only am I Team Jess but I'm also Team Milo
I think when Milo is talking about Jess and Rory, He's actually talking about him and Alexis.
I think this was milo talking about alexis.
#teamjess he is her Luke clearly, the baby is definitely Logan’s but Jess is a father not Logan, like Luke is a father not Christopher.
Jess grows her, Logan is an arm piece and lots of fun, he says go for it Rory on the sideline, he supports her for sure but he doesn’t grow or feed her, Jess does and always will...
life imitates art
Night Frost in this case it is the reverse
In the end Jess was too good for Rory. I feel Jess evolved but Rory devolved
I agree. Rory is a horrible person. All the men in her life deserved better.
After rewatching this interview clip for the 24th time i just realized the host interviewing him is named JESS lol
he will never not be fine
i just need rory to end up with jess so badly he was perfect for her
A Lot of people compares Logan and Cristopher and Jess and Luke but i think if you put it That way, actually, Jess is to Rory like "Lorelai's Cristopher" because they "grow up together" for example, Lorelai came from this life, ya know? (Rich people coff, coff) and Luke was the kind of guy she wasn't used to, unlike rory, she grow up with this kind of life, more simple, she was used to guys like Luke or Jess, so meeting Logan was like Lorelai meeting Luke. Or like the way Cristopher knew Lorelai so well, (because they have known each other for such a long time) and Jess knows Rory he Even says that "i know you, i know you better than anyone" i hope You actually understand what i'm sayin hahahaha
This is just to say that JESS AND RORY WERE ENDGAME (Even tho Rory didn't deserved him at the end haha)
I think he was speaking about Alexis until this point 2:02
this made me cry
I think that the stranger she slept in New York could be the father but Jess and Rory finally end up together, he raises the baby as his own
I wonder if Milo's description of fictional characters Jess & Rory, is him also making a description of how he feels about Alexis and their past relationship 🤔
1:31-1:48 wow I love him
His sill care about Alexis but his not in love with her anymore and as much as I love Jess I think it's unlikely his the father
hes talking as if hes talking about himself and alexis 🥺
I feel like he was talking about him and alexis not jess and rory
team jess forever
Rory Jess I like a lot they make a good couple they both like to read books
I've never seen Gilmore Girls, but as far as I know, a lot of fans said he was the best boyfriend she had. Even though I don't understand their relationship. I mean, I don't understand none of the protagonist's relationships. I tried to read on Wikipedia but I didn't understand their relationship, really.
Writing this 2/4/2020. GG season 9 is coming. Mostly because fans didn't think Jess and Rory's story was complete. He ALWAYS steered her back to her passion .He seems to have never stopped loving her. Also, who's baby is she carrying? So stay tuned.
Team Jess all he way
they were literally soulmates
Jesse's character on The Gilmore Girls was that of a free radical. His off-camera Persona reminds me of Joe montania who also preferred the company of the crew.
Lorelai-Jess/Lane (All Moody, All Rebellious, All Sacrifice For Rory)
Mrs.Kim-Dave (Both Sensitive, Afraid Of Losing Lane)
Christopher-Rory (Both Sweet, Both Cheerful and Moody, Both Flakey)
Sookie-Dean (Sweet But Controlling)
Jackson-Zack (Lovable Lunkheads)
Max-Marty (Manipulative And Boring)
Jason-Logan (Rich Snobs)
Richard-Luke (Grumpy But Reliable)
Emily-Paris (Controlling & Manipulative)
This guy is gorgeous
is there more seasons to come? it can't be the end just like that right?!
milo is actually so much like jess
I LOVED HESS FROM THE BEGINNING AND I THINK THAT HE DESERVED MORE THEN RORY
I love Jess Cagle style of interviewing his guests.
He's gorgeous omfg 😍😍😍😍😍
I love Gilmore girls and I am a 9 year old girl
E' bello anche da adulto Jess
Milo seems to be a charming, intelligent, honest, modest man. Milo himself was the best part of Jess.
RORY AND JESS FOREVERRRRR
Even if it wasn’t his baby I honestly think Jess is going to help Roy like Luke did for Loreial
we all know he is talking bout alexis
