Every time I've went there it was packed to the gills. Was surprised to see it so vacant...guess because of covid? I had some weird ghostly stuff happened at the Washoe club my last visit around midnight about 11 years ago...cA chair flipping from the bar like 4 times. I noticed everytime I'd buy a shot this stool would end up on the floor...The long haired bartender said it was someone which at the time I can't remember the name. The next time I order 2 shots & put one in front of stool & gave the ghost a " here's to you pard"& the stool stayed there, which made me lol...Then I said I would love to go out side to burn one but I have no light. At that point a book of matches comes end over end down the bar and stops right in front of me. I turned to thank who every it was but no one was there... The old bartender was so scared....well that was my experience at the Washoe club....True as heck every word..........

Yeah I used to drink eggs today every bar that start from one end of the street work my way down I think the washer club was the last part I would not the last but almost the last by that time I was pretty well lit who knows if I had any ghostly encounters I cross the street work my way back down at every bar f****** a blood then I finally end up at the Long Branch saloon that was the last stop goes back in my drinking and hell raising days

As a huge fan of historic mountain towns Virginia City is one of the best. It's like a time capsule of the old wild west. Was there back in 2016 I'm gonna try to return this summer. We did the ghost tour while visiting last time that was fun.
This brought the feels! I grew up in small town Nevada and played sports in Virginia City in the '90s. I clearly remember the wooden sidewalks and am so happy to see they are still there. I remember walking along the sidewalk once when the most delicious smell stopped me in my tracks. There was a big vent over my head blowing air from the inside of the shop, where right inside the window someone was stirring what looked like the biggest block of butter into the biggest vat of caramel I'd ever seen. Mmmmmmm. Now that I'm older, I want to visit Virginia City and take in all the rich history that's there. Thanks for this simple but effective walking tour video!

Great tour I came over to your great country in 2011 did a bit of a road trip with a friend. Had a fantastic time, and visited this great little town, we only stayed one night and that was our only regret on the three week vacation. Have a trip booked for vegas in March now that we can visit again from the UK.

Watching this video brings back memories we had a house on b Street and I remember to get up in the morning walked out to the post office pick up the mail ended up getting a job working for the county a great place to live and hang out nightlife was always adventurous especially in the bars during tourist season 600 people was the population in the winter time during tourist time the bars and streets were packed I'd start on one side of the street hit every bar cross over and work my way back the last part of hit was called The Long Branch another name for a dowsing rod for a glass of water I use that as a chaser with my Jack Daniels, another one of my hangouts was the bucket of blood saloon you could go in there and see some of the paintings my grandfather had painted his name was Cal same last name a lot of desert scenery another one of my favorite paintings was called Little Prince

Virginia City is an old silver mining town. They kept a lot of the buildings originally. Some Saloons also have mine tours 🌞

Looks like a tourist trap. I assume everything sold in the shops is made in China. Where are the normal businesses?
I believe there are no corporations, chain stores, or franchises allowed in the city limits of VirginiaCity. So not overan and driven out by the "normal businesses" and can remain historic.
