I’m 45. Started watching her with my oldest who was in high school daughter 5 or 6 years ago? She has now graduated college. Now I I watch with my 6 year old ( she started watching it when she was 4) and to night was the first time my 1 year old showed interest in watching with us. Lol it’s a family tradition to tune in every Friday to see the new ones and for us to randomly try one of her projects.

The most common story is that a wealthy man was taking shelter from a storm under a tree when he saw a cat in a nearby temple gesturing with it's paw. The man interpreted this as the cat beckoning for him to approach, so he ran from under the tree to the temple. The moment he set foot in the temple, lightning struck the tree, destroying it instantly. The man was very thankful to the cat and kept it as a companion until it's death, and also became caretaker of the temple. After the cat died, he put up a statue of the cat gesturing in the temple to honor it. After the statue was put up, the temple prospered, and the statue of a cat with it's paw raised became a symbol of good fortune.

the price for the boxes were definitely very high for what she got. but somethings should have gotten way more credit than they got. kawaii is an actual style and aesthetic, not just things that look "cutsie" i think because moriah's style is a lot different than what she was thinking kawaii is, she was expecting something a lot different. yea the items from the boxes were definitely not worth the money she payed, but she really didn't need to say some things. multiple times she said that the people that made the boxes were just looking for a quick buck, but bruh that's not cool. who knows how hard the people that made the boxes worked on them, and it could be paying for their collage fund or something.. n e way, she really just shitted on someone's hard work and like an entire style...
Moriah is so creative and amazing. She has devoted so much time into this channel. I also really appreciate how she keeps her kid and husband of her videos for the most part. Like other people have said, she definitely made the money back on this video, it got millions of views, she advertised her own merch in it (so she got money from that) and she can write it off as a business expense. Not saying this to demonise Morah of course lol, but it definitely isn't out of charity that she spent money on mystery boxes, it isn't 'for us' in a charitable or even emotional sense, it's for the sake of content that is entertaining and will perform well.
The fact that she paid like $50 for that one mystery box which included clothes from shein which go for like $10, and also thrift store stuff which was probably like $5 is insane

the price for the boxes were definitely very high for what she got. but somethings should have gotten way more credit than they got. kawaii is an actual style and aesthetic, not just things that look "cutsie" i think because moriah's style is a lot different than what she was thinking kawaii is, she was expecting something a lot different. yea the items from the boxes were definitely not worth the money she payed, but she really didn't need to say some things. multiple times she said that the people that made the boxes were just looking for a quick buck, but bruh that's not cool. who knows how hard the people that made the boxes worked on them, and it could be paying for their collage fund or something.. n e way, she really just shitted on someone's hard work and like an entire style...

Like other people have said, she definitely made the money back on this video, it got millions of views, she advertised her own merch in it (so she got money from that) and she can write it off as a business expense. Not saying this to demonise Morah of course lol, but it definitely isn't out of charity that she spent money on mystery boxes, it isn't 'for us' in a charitable or even emotional sense, it's for the sake of content that is entertaining and will perform well.
