yeah! Back in the day I was bored by the german rave/techno scene and went a couple of times to the UK. The clubs over there were so different. Great memories!
Seconding the suggestion for Ren and Sam Blind Eyed ft. Angry Car Park Attendant! I love looking at the original song/sample when I know it. Some of the beats he flows over are completely out of this world. It seems like it shouldn't work but it does.
Not sure many people will pick up on the squid game and number on tracksuit metaphor. Redlight/greenlight refers to UK indecision over coming out of lockdown with Covid19, likewise the number 456 is days spent in lockdown. He references it in other songs. 😁
Here's the thing, I grew up listening to so many kinds of music. I have 4 brothers and 4 sisters , so that will happen. So now I am 64 years old , and I am diving deep into Ren's catalog. I am in heaven between his solo projects, and his collaborations, including his live videos, I am having the time of my life. Also watching guys like you react and review his music adds a whole other dimension. I wouldn't even had heard of Ren if it hadn't been for music reactors like yourself. So thank you for what you do . Your always a pleasure to watch, and your kindness goes along way.
OMG thanks for doing this one. I hadn't heard it. Have no idea how anyone could not love this. Brilliant. His energy is absolutely infectious. He's absolutely brilliant.
I respect that Ren is not afraid to work outside the box 📦 not try to replicate the mainstream. If his music polarises opinion I would call that success as it has at least made you feel. 90% of what I hear on the radio makes me feel nothing. Great reaction as always
This is a great comment. I agree. At least it makes you feel. The songs on the radio do nothing for me. Ren always makes me feel so much. He is an artist.
Ren's retake series is basically him doing rap cover versions of other artist's songs. That's where the 'I'm f-ing it up like I made it' lyric comes in. The impressive thing is that he takes as much care with the music and videos for the retakes as he does with his own music.
What Absolutely amazes me is Ren appears to have lyrical fingers pushed into seemingly limitless subject matter from multiple time periods. I find that Very, 'VERY' Impressive.
Yeah this is dope - a very British, almost old school, feel to it. You look (and sound) tired dude - keep up the great work and amazing reactions, but look after yourself too 🙏🙏🙏

When Ren uses electronic/dance/industrial beats and cadences, it makes me think he's listened to a bunch of Aphex Twin and Faithless. Some of his spoken-word lyrics, especially, sound like Maxi Jazz (R.I.P.) from Faithless.
I've been going through Ren's catalogue but had skipped this up to now, until watching this reaction. Have to hand it to him once again, this is really crazy stuff! 🙃😆
I absolutely love this guy and everything he does. His group, The Big Push is phenominal. I'm not the usual demographic for this music (I'm a "golden oldie"), but I think Ren is a genius. I especially like "Power" and "War Pigs". Thank you for supporting Ren, etc.
This guy can do everything damn!!! Lol!! It's so sick how talented he is 🤯 I don't ever want to hear anyone say ever again that there is nobody doing something different with rap🤣.....I'm just going to look at them and say Ren......say something 🤣💜
4:27 honestly hes not doing it to find himself, he vibes with almost every type of music so he can JUST DO (it) them all is pretty fucking insane. like i feel music too and can replicate/imitate genres pretty good imoo but to outright created so versatile is bonkers. he's (so far as ive heard/seen) almost on Eminem level lyrics with plenty of time to grow and thats the biggest compliment you can get imo but the creativity is OFF THE HOOK. and so far i know he produces almost everything himself with help ofcourse but still.... this guy needs to blow up no1 deserves it more than him
Rap hasn't ever been my thing. But, I have been learning through Ren and watching reactors. I'm 55 and the rap that I used to hear was either mumble rap or angry. Neither are something that I want to hear. Let alone listen to. But, I do enjoy words and their use. There is something about Ren, that makes me WANT to listen. No matter how he wants to present it to me. It's a bit hard to explain. Possibly, it's the IT factor that you talk about. It's an unusual amount of talent, creativity and brilliance. But it's mostly an incredible charismatic draw. Could be that, because he is a very real young man. Who shares his life, mind and music openly. I think it's more than that. There are people just waiting to hear the truth. They won't be ready for it and it's probably gonna hurt. In a world of lies, we ache for the truth. Ren, may just be the one. The one, that the real people hear. Probably rambling. The other thing, I heard you talk of your UA-cam issues. I don't know anything about algorithms or any of that. Fyi, they ran an ad towards the end of this video. So, someone is getting paid. I hope it was you and not some fake ass company. 😸
Aww finally 😂😂I’ve been patiently waiting (No pun intended lol ) for I getting to this 🤪🤣I can’t stop listening to it.The cheeky side of our Ren is so fire 🔥 to watch, instantly makes me happy as a pig in shit xxx
In this he says he's the kind of bongo bong, which is a reference to the song he recorded with his band The Big Push, it's a cover but it's a very good one-take video on their apartment roof. It might be a decent follow up to this video. Check it out, The Big Push - Bongo Bong (Manu Chao cover).
I usually hate dance club stuff. But Damn it hit the club every night for this. It's so how he does it. I think he could make any style music amazing. He uses so much influence, X FACTOR?
I've been so excited for you to do this one hehe ... This is one of my absolute favorites. It's so important not to overly burden Ren with being the face of illness and mental health issues bc he's so much more than that ... he's a beast! he's SO MUCH FUN! and fuhhhh ... i love Fisher so this is the ultimate :D :D
Have you done REN’s: Bittersweet Symphony (The Verve retake)? Boy I love this young man. Put a huge smile on my face with his lyrical retake. Urban Hymns is still one of my top five favorite albums. Keep it going, lads! Cheers, mate.
If you liked the flows here I recommend the love music series, pt 2 has a James bond flow that's pretty saucy. Not sure if they have videos but still worth checking.

This song is just too much fun. Puts a smile on my face every time. I'm into electronic music, and I love when it's blended with hip hop well, but I understand what you mean. I also just love that he clearly had so much fun with this one.
If you pay attention in his repertoire you will notice the variety of styles that he's picking up from, reggae, jazz, rap you name it, he actually mentioned this is because of ADHD, not because he's trying things to please the public, that's just how his mind works. He did said he's going to try to stick with rap tho.
Normally I really hate techno beat but this feels different to me because I really like the video images and the words are entertaining. But I cannot listen to techno. At all. Interesting. Listened to the fisher original and yeah I can’t stand it. But I love this by Ren. ❤️🔥

Ilove the part where he's running through the hall in a squid game track suit, while "Loosing it" has the red light greenlight part, yet metaphorically he doesn't stop, but rather shoots back, cause he's unstoppable :D

British rave scene from the 90’s had MC’s that loosely rapped over dance beats. It’s part of our dance history.
oh you mean kind of like a small underground band called Prodigy? but i guess most not heard of them XD

It's nice to hear a rapper who raps clearly. The music is by FISHER. It's an instrumental EDM track.
Fisher Losing It is a techno house club track, the only lyric in the original version is the female vocalist's "I'm Losing It."
