I used to use stronglight headsets on my BMX bikes in the early 80's. They were nylon cups with roller bearings. Also used the aluminum cup versions on Mtn. and road bikes as well. This was in Florida, USA.
Like the look of the " stronglight frame " alot , worksmanship seems high quality ; reminds me of my '91 silver Alan record with Campy Record C 1st ed gruppo with smooth ti skewers , pro fit pedals and chorus1st ed monoplanar brakes that I ride . I would put downtube shifters on that baby and find a vintage Campy gruppo for it !
Wow...thought at first was a Vitus 979, which was very flexible ( I had one for a few years late 80’s). Always ridden Campag, but this looks original components
I’ve always broken index shifters and the pods are expensive. I have a set of 50 year old Campagnolo Record friction shifters that have never needed any repairs. I’ve given up on indexing. Nice bicycle. Use it in good health.
very cool.....would love to find a gem like that!
Thanks!

This is what makes it unusual, Stronglight made headset and cranks and branded very few frames. Cheers
Interesting video. I had no idea Stronglight built frames.
Thanks for watching, I had no idea about Stronglight too.

Yes, that sounds like a nice build, but I do like also the Mavic 810 derailleurs that would also match the hubs!

It does look like a Vitus, but that's what tricked me. A Stronglight? I never thought it.

Thank you!
I saw the thumbnail and immediately thought of the aluminum Vitus’ of this same period. Wonder if they made each others frames?
I think these Altecs were made in a different workshop.
That is an Alan frame.
Not quite!
How pretty (*♡∀♡) (*♡∀♡) (*♡∀♡)
Cheers! It is a beauty!
