I used to struggle with sexual sin heavily before being baptized and confirmed into the Catholic Church. But now my sexual sins are further and further apart and having the blessed mothers intercession helps so much

As a conservative traditional Catholic at 36 as a man I can tell you even at Mass sometimes thoughts come to my mind when seeing beautiful women sometimes its normal other times it's not normal ..... the key is discernment if a thought comes to my mind that is lustful it's not from God so then I further use discernment to see if it's from my own thought or if it's an attack from the spiritual enemy if it is from the spiritual i rebuke it in the name of Christ Jesus
And I noticed the more I pray I try to have a prayer life every day i notice my thoughts are focused on God and the things not on the earth but that are above ......
But when doesn't pray and is sinning and not going to Mass not reading Holy Scripture one can be enslaved to sin and is consumed with thoughts of flesh desires
Let's pray to stand firm in faith and pray for all and let's be strong in God's word and his Church and with having the armor of God , and be strong in prayer

Thats why the devil always does things to make us abandon our prayer life esp the rosary prayer because he can't drag a person to sin who is living a life of prayer. But when Satan succeeds in making a person abandon prayer esp the Rosary, it will be easy for him to drag a person to sin because that person who abandons his prayer life is now weak and powerless against his assaults and temptations.

Abandoning prayer esp the Rosary or our prayer life is opening the door of our souls to evil spirits. They can easily enter into our souls.

I am soooo afraid to abandon prayer especially the Rosary prayer. Abandoning prayer esp the rosary is removing our protection from our enemies.

I have a hard time in singleness and get frustrated with God a lot of times just asking him to take away my thoughts and desire for sex if it’s not going to be fulfilled in marriage one day. But throwing a fit with God isn’t going to help but also makes me chuckle when I think about it because we really are children in his eyes who don’t know anything compared to him and he looks so tenderly upon us waiting to lead and guide us if we truly want him to.

Monthly confession will quickly rid you of any desire you have to pleasure yourself. No one wants to confess that. Fasting will also help. Develop some discipline. Hope this helps anyone who is struggling with this kind of thing. God bless.

Monthly confession is a great consolation and mercy. As someone who struggled with that addiction, I can say that nothing helped more than the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Frequent confession is freeing, and the Saints attest often to it. My favorite example is Saint Joan of Arc.
God bless you, and thank you so much for watching!

Why did she withdraw sex? What was the reason? Many women do that for different reasons including being used by their husbands, not being loved, health issues, etc. It is difficult, but it calls us to purity and to more pure, to rely wholly on God.
It is better to be single than to find a loveless marriage. That is true. God is the fulfillment of all of our desire. (Good book by the way).

Prior to my conversion, I led an extremely sinful life. I've had more sexual partners than I care to count, and that's not me bragging. I'm very ashamed of it. Since my Baptism and Confirmation though, I've found that now more than ever, images of the women I've been with in my past flood my mind unwillingly. I don't sit and think about it. They particularly happen when I'm waking up in the morning and my mind is not fully sound or when I'm not doing anything at all. I personally believe now that I'm Catholic, that Satan is trying to use these images from my past in an attempt to derail me, or perhaps it's just my cross to bare. I'm not sure yet, but if I could give one message to the world, it's this. Don't be like me. Choose one for your whole life and no more. I can say that every single day is truely a struggle for me to keep those images at bay. I don't want that for anyone. God Bless.

Well said, thank you for sharing! Ask Mary to pray for you to cleanse your mind of the past. Jason Evert recommends praying 3 Hail Mary's each morning toward that end. Also, filling your mind with more holy things, Scripture, pictures, etc may help overtime as well. Keep up the battle and the good work. God bless.

Replace those images with the word of God and time in front of the blessed sacrament. It’s natural to have sexual thoughts and desires. And unfortunately you have a memory bank of sexual memories from your former lifestyle. You are a new creation. Focus on the rosary and the mystery’s it will help you

I just corrected someone and because of this, he got angry at me and accused me of being prideful because he thought my intention was to glorify myself and to show people that I am better and wiser than him. I have no such bad intention. My intention is pure when correcting him.
A few weeks ago, someone corrected me. What was my reaction? Did I get angry and accuse my corrector as being prideful and only wanted praise from men for correcting me? No. I did not think bad about him and his correction of me. Instead, I humbly acknowledged my mistakes and thanked him for correcting me.
So who is prideful? Me? or him?
So who has impure thought or intention? Me? Or him?

    • @marietav7342

Maybe you would advise me to just better keep silent and suffer in silence and just bear patiently his false accusation against me just like the common reaction of the saints when they were falsely accused. Well, my intention for not remaining silent is not to shame him and to project myself as the victim here so that people would sympathize with me. These are not my intentions. My intention for doing this is to call out his sin or pride and to make him realize his pride or sin because if he will not acknowledge his pride/sin and repent of it, it will be his imminent downfall.

@@CatholicTruthOfficial Thank you for the reply. I tried looking into this and couldn't find anything. I asked ChatGPT and it returned the following below.
I can't seem to find anything on Father Boyd. It doesn't mean it's false. It might just mean he got his PhD and then went in to the ministry so quickly that he never published or did things in quantum physics.
      ----
There is no verifiable information about a "Father Boyd" having a PhD in Quantum Physics from Princeton University, nor any claims that such an individual was ranked #1 in their class. Extensive searches through Princeton’s graduate programs and related academic records did not yield any results matching this description.
Princeton University does have robust programs in quantum physics and has recently expanded its commitment to quantum science and engineering, including new graduate programs and initiatives aimed at advancing research in this field (Princeton Graduate School) (Princeton Graduate School) (Princeton Engineering). However, there are no mentions of any individual named Father Boyd in relation to these programs.
Based on the available information, the credibility of the claim about Father Boyd having a PhD from Princeton in Quantum Physics and being #1 in the class can be rated as 0 out of 100. This rating reflects the complete absence of supporting evidence for the claim.

Pray, and distract yourself. Do anything else other than indulge the disordered desire. Go on a walk, go lift weights, read a virtuous book, go get a coffee, go to church and pray. During my first confession my confessor shared with me the nature of sin, and it stuck with me since. Sin is like a bird attempting to land on your head. We all have recourse to swat the bird away, and the sooner we do the better. If you let the bird perch on you, and do no swat it, it will become comfortable. It will build a nest and roost on you, find a mate and have eggs, and through it all will be pooping on you. This is untamed sin.
