Matthew, the acidity from the lime juice "scorches" (cooks) the conch. I love the precision used by the two men cutting up all the fresh ingredients! You can't get fresher conch than this! (It still moving) You are so blessed to enjoy fresh conch salad in the Bahamas. Enjoy!

I had a delicious tropical conch salad in Bimini Bahamas....fresh and flavorful. I like the conch meat with medium chunks...bahama mama drinks. I would like to visit Harbour Island with the pink sand.

Haha I’m bahamian but born and raised in the states my family always bring back conch and I never liked it my mother passed away recently and it’s all I can think about n I want to taste it again so bad 😢

You should try the conch salad out by Potters Cay under the bridge that goes to Atlantis. You have McKenzies and a few other places. To me their conch salad more better and have more of the Bahamian touch. Some of those people put too much salt sometimes cause they may not be Bahamian making it. Some good crack conch as well. A lot of tourists go Arawak Cay, because Taxis carry them there and plenty people hang out there on weekend, but the jewel is right under the bridge and better prices.
Thank you I think I heard about under the bridge really sorry I missed out on that. I was carried there by my wife’s Bahamian cousins and Aunty. The guys who made it were definitely Bahamian and I was cautious when he added the salad but really was not salty I ended up forgetting about it because I didn’t even notice the salt when I was eating it was just fresh and truly amazing

Used to make conch salad when i lived in New England 🇺🇸. Sliced the conch, whole, paper thin. The use of lemon/lime juice and vinegar tenderize the conch. Refrigerated for two or three days. Perfect!

Was about to say you can’t come to the Bahamas and not try the conch salad. You just need some of our peas n rice and macaroni wit some fresh fried snapper and you would have covered a good bit. We still got much more to offer mind you

If in Nassau, I would look you up for my Conch salad. I saw another guy making Conch I would never eat his, because he did not have on gloves and the table looked so dirty. Keep up the cleanliness. Love you.
