The 3rd is the way we made coffee on my grandmother's farm on a wood burning stove. She would 1 Tbl of sugar for the entire pot. When coffe was done she would add a cup of cold water to settle the coffee grounds to the bottom of the pot. Thanks for the memories.
That second method is how my husband said they made coffee when he was in Afghanistan in the field. We did it at home for fun once, and it works, but boy is it strong!
Ok so that first method is totally the DIY of some those really expensive coffee setups people can buy. Now I'm just gonna get me a fancy mason jar and a nice sieve. I love these shorts!
I didn't realize how much I needed Pam's cooking tricks until I found them. "Come with me, I'll show you how it's done." If this beautiful woman isn't in heaven when. 😘🙂
I actually does that before... but I used a slightly more expensive reusable stainless steel cone-shaped filter. I used a friend's large strawberry jam jar to make my coffee that time. In fact I didn't even wash the jar out I just brewed the coffe straight in. The jam scrap in the jar became my coffee sweetener + flavoring. Pour in creamer/milk = Strawberry Flavored coffee... yum 😋
One time during a power outage due to a hurricane, I put coffee grounds and water in a pint mason jar, set it over a tealight wax warmer without the wax bowl and filtered the coffee into a cup and soon my grouchy roommate was happily drinking hot coffee.
When I was a young girl my uncle Jesse would take us( my 4 brothers & I) to our ranch(we lived in the city), to ride our horses while he set up camp to cook . He brewed the most delicious coffee ever.! One big handful of coffee grounds to a pot of coffee on the hot coals.! It was ready when the coffee boiled out.😊
I don’t have a coffee maker but I have guests who drink coffee over sometimes. Someone gifted me a whole thing of coffee and I’m so glad I can still use it!
ladies brilliant I mean had no clue what she was going to do I have three new ways to make coffee thank you ma'am that was very informative love that and you're pretty sweet too
Perfect timing! My daughter just left an abusive relationship with nothing but the clothes on her back. She's starting over from scratch. We're helping her, but furnishing an entire apartment with no notice is a lot. She accidentally broke the coffee/tea pot I gave her. This is a perfect solution to get her through until she gets the new one I got her for Christmas ❤️
#3 I was boiling water to put in my French press when I accidentally put the coffee grounds into the pot like in #3 example. It's really just cowboy coffee like they did out on the prairie. It worked and I had my coffee. Thx Pam! 💛
Since we go camping, I have used all of these methods at one point in time or another. Love my coffee in the morning and will go to great lengths to enjoy every drop. Thank you for sharing!
I adore this woman. I can't wait to get my hands on her book, Come With Me. I'll show You What to Do. I don't know if that will be the title but it should be. 😃
Pam... Zillions of Thank You's to YOU!! I needed THIS. I work from the road often and the hotel room coffee makers aren't always the best or cleanest. I've been looking for a way to make my own coffee from the roadside. Now I know. Thanks to YOU. You are awesome, my friend. 🤗💖🙏
Ooo all of these are so great! I like the last one bc I'm too lazy to slowly poor my water 😂 but I never thought of doing it these ways!!!!!!! Tysm, your channel is so amazing!!!!!!! Your smile lights up a room I bet, and I adore how your tips help so many!
I love this woman. BTW...I always have emergency supplies on hand so I can make some pour through coffee if I have no power or my coffee maker goes out.
Hey Pam, this brought back memories. My mom used to do that. We would beg her to let us buy her a new coffee pot or keurig but she refused. Genius. Thanks for sharing.
For the coffee grounds put directly into the water; add a slug of cold water into the coffee just before pouring it into the cup. It will settle most of the grounds to the bottom of the pot.
Thanks!
Thank you so much Kathy🙏🏽♥️
My friend got a reusable metal filter with plastic wings that can sit on the lip of their mug, then they do method #1
This women is a national treasure. Every school should have a teacher like her teaching home economics and common sense.
Amen to that.
Yes!!
She is wonderful! But, I do not think they teach home economics in school anymore.

#3 Good old Cowboy Coffee recipe! :-)
Make it a GREAT day everyone!!!
I will thanks. You too and God bless
I was gonna say! We call it that in Texas! Seriously...
I love this woman! She isn't condescending and yet funny and informative.
Yes! And she gets straight to the point, no robot voices, obnoxious music or personality.

Cowboy coffee
“Are you a coffee person or a tea person?”
Me, using method 2: Yes
Yea mostly
I like that one 2,no mess to clean up. throw the entire bundle in the compost pile.
You always show us what to do! I can sit and watch this channel all day! Thanks for these amazing tips
Being a self admitted coffee-a-holic, I now profess my ♡♡♡ for you and your wonderous ways.

Old spaghetti sauce jars can work too.
Lol 😂 😅
🤣👍

I used to do #3 in college when I was too poor to anything. It's a lifesaver
In the early years of our marriage we were too poor to buy coffee filters, so we used white paper napkins as coffee filters. Works.
Cowboy coffee!
You have a happy site. We need this as too much drama out there!thumbs up subscriber
Totally Agree Maril..❤️
I don't have a coffee maker BUT seeing this now I can buy all those yummy holiday flavor coffees!
Yes, and it was the worst day of my life. Thank you, Pam. I appreciate that I will never have to go through that again 😄☕️
Lol you’re welcome. Make it a great day!♥️
It’s a terrible feeling isn’t it lol!! Or when you run out ☕️😳
Yes, the worst day indeed!😂
So funny😂
That first one is like a pour over coffee maker, but way less expensive. Love it!😊
Yes!! Was thinking the same thing. Was like I paid 50 dollars to do the same thing, only difference is the jar is a different shape 🤣

A bodum. Those make good coffee but takes a little practice. ☺️
You may have just saved our marriage 😂
My mom used to make the last one, calling it Hobo Coffee.
One time during a power outage due to a hurricane, I put coffee grounds and water in a pint mason jar, set it over a tealight wax warmer without the wax bowl and filtered the coffee into a cup and soon my grouchy roommate was happily drinking hot coffee.
You're doing the Lord's work for us college students who don't know how to do anything in the kitchen other than ramen and frozen pizza. 😂
😂😂😂

Yes, she'd be a great adjunct professor!
Check out Aunty Fee's old UA-cam vids. She was so creative with ramen, etc but she had a potty mouth.

Reminds me of growing up in Texas. My Grandfather boiled his coffee even though we had a coffee pot. Good Memories.
This is a problem in my house and I'm the only one there in the morning. Why didn't I think of this especially the funnel. Thank you for your Genius
Always so clever!! Ty for the tips:) i can a lot and have been stuck with out a coffee maker all too often
