THIS IS LEGIT WHAT IVE BEEN RESEARCHING FOR WEEKS, i wanted a tank with shrimp and dwarf crays set up legit just like this plants rocks cave omg im so happy that i have literal video proof that its possible and looks just as amazing as i thought it would
Thank you for doing such a Video with Crayfish. We own Cambarellus Diminutus, and also Neocaridina Shrimp. If you do a freshwater build, please include Procambarus Alleni (Blue Florida Lobster/Crayfish), I would love to provide some (depending where you come from)!
@@Mr.Tank713 For some reason your Email doesn't show up on your account Info, nor can I find you on Instagram, could you please tell me what your Instagram User is?
just a few questions i hope you could answer for me, 1. Could i add everything (snails, 2 dwarf cray, shrimps, and 2 ricefish) at the same time ? (30 gallon) 2. for the shrimp snails and fish to thrive with the cray fish would i have to add more hideaway areas ? i would really like to have them thrive together and continue on with plant life 3. with everything in the tank would it have a smell to it? 4. with all plants inside and algae eaters how often would you recommend water changes or tank cleaning, and by what ratio would you suggest doing them in? , sorry im new to the hobby but this is EXCACTLY what i want. plants crays shrimp some fish and live plants something easy to maintain with beautiful invertebrates swimming around green plants
1. I would add the Shrimp and Snails First. Depending on how big your tank is would determine how many cray I would put in. 2. They should be fine if you add a lot of hiding places and have a spacious tank. 3. I would say it comes down to how many plants you add and how you control the algae growth. 4. I rarely do water changes. I just have to top off the tank every once in a while. Make sure you have a spacious tank with a lot of plants and you should be good.
@@Mr.Tank713 Hey Mr.Tank i appreciate the response. 1. so its a 30 gallon would you 2 cray be okay or 1 if any? 4. wait so the water stays clean with all the plants and that specific life in it ?
@@twist4710if I were you I’d start with 1. It’s important to take things slow (especially if you haven’t done this kind of tank before). it’s always risky putting a predator in with other species. Just make sure you have enough shrimp initially to outbreed and establish a population. When you go to the fish store to buy the shrimp, make sure to buy a ratio of 3 females for every male if possible. Typically you can identify female shrimp from eggs below their tail, or stripes on their back, I’d recommend further research too.
@@twist4710I have a 20 gal tank with a couple larger predator fish who could and have consumed shrimp, and I have a bonsai tree kinda thing in my tank and my shrimp LOVE to hide in and under it. I’d highly recommend it. Also, one tip I could give to get some free hiding spots. BUY AN UNDERWATER FILTER! I have a sponge filter in the corner of my tank, and my shrimp love to feed on the dead plant matter, and also they wedge themselves in the corner to hide.
@@twist4710also, if you’re getting a 30 gallon tank, that’s a BIG tank for some shrimp and a crawdad. I’d highly recommend getting some small fish. Best fish I can recommend is ONE rainbow neon dwarf fish. They are aggressive, but not mean. It would be really good for keeping the crawdad docile and keep a pecking order. My rainbow neon is really good, and has never nipped fins, or bothered anything, most she’ll do is chase a fish around. another idea is getting a fully aquatic frog. I’d highly recommend “blonde African dwarf frogs”. I have them mixed in with a shrimp tank, and they add lots of extra life, and have never bothered a shrimp. You also don’t need to individually feed the frogs, they mainly eat algae or whatever they manage to scrap off the bottom.
This is something i would see in National Geographic. Very cool video indeed. I love seeing animal interact with other animal and the whole ecosystem stuff!
