When an oil filter remover doesn't work (the best kinds are the plier ones not the strap type btw) just stab a screwdriver through the mother and get with it :P
That's called a grid heater on the tractor, same thing as Cummins uses on their engines, much better than glow plugs, just NEVER use either with it! A little grease on the oil filter o-ring will make sure it comes off easily.
Hey bill that is not a drain on the fuel separator that is a Pet cock it shuts the fuel off that is why it is not drilled out completely. KEEP UP THE GOOD VIDEOS!!!!!!!
hey you should get that old sled you got hanging up in the garage and get it running. i recently got a 73' Suzuki 440 sled and i'm definitely addicted to sleds now haha
The red ring in the fuel filter/bowl is a water indicator. When you see the red ring off the bottom of the bowl it's showing you that you have water that needs to be bled off.
ALWAYS keep an in/out chart when changing fluids. I sucked out twenty pints of trans fluid through the dipstick of my E4OD but sort of forgot later that night to replace it. I figured out what happened the next day after being towed home at $90 tow plus $1700 for the rebuilt trans. :) Merry Christmas!
A lot of times when I can't get an oil filter wrench to fit I use heavy grit sandpaper and my hands to take off the filter. In fact, I had to use that method to take the left suction side filter off my JD 110 TLB last week.
a mechanic i know showed me how you change diesel engine fuel filters which arent self priming you fill the filter with diesel before refitting the new filter he told me it saves having to crank the engine to draw fuel from the tank to prime the filter
Hey Bill, glad to see you take good care of your machinery. I was wondering if you have ever serviced the transmission fluid and filter and changed the front and rear differentials. Great vids keep them coming. Merry Christmas as well to you and your family from a viewer from Sydney Nova Scotia Cape Breton.
they make a zero clearance oil filter wrench - it looks like a seat belt strap on an 1/2 square pipe it turned by a 1/2 drive rachet - its what I had to buy for the small ford diesel motor on the 2nd oil filter I had. its works
I am guessing that it would be easier to change the air filters if the loader was lowered to the ground. When you were working on it this way the cylinders and arms were right in your face.
BILL! you NEVER put brake cleaner on plastics! ive had things shrivel up on me from that, and that fuel bowl seperator antler is like 60+ bucks USD from the dealer
How did the mice get into the cupboard? With that plastic filter, if you do that again on something different and forget, just rewind your camera! It has everything in it including the order of bits in that little glass or plastic bowl.
ohh no don't take our farm sim sat away :-( this would be the last one I can watch for almost 2 weeks, I go in for surgery on the 24th, I was looking forwards to this sat, bummer big time :'-(
Wow it seems like nothing is easy to change on that tractor, the oil filter, the fuel filters, and the air filters. Would that make you not want to buy another deer? Just curious.
does your tractor smoke a lot when it needs an oil change because I think my 4510 needs it's fluids changed which I will but it's started smoking more and more
the pick up in you're full tank you use to fill you're tractor is to close to the bottom billy thats why its full of shit ... if i remember you had a video and pretty much stuck er right at the bottom of that big tank i think its sucking up shit myself
sc0tte1 I guess that he better plan for an awfully long visit then. He could set him up in of those little marble chamber sites. It would be like resting in a bunk on a train, permanently!!
That red ring is supposed to go around the tube then the tube woth the ring around it goes into the filter. Why wouldn't you just rewind the video you took 3 mins prior and watch how you took it apart..lol now its back in the machine wrong. Haha darnn it
No farm sim saturday? No biggy, just put up a normal Billstmaxx vid, I like them better anyways ;-) (not that I don't like FSS, but the "real life" ones are more interesting)
So instead of making videos together with Landykid, he prevents you from making them all along. Landykid, shame on you, you far too camera-shy person (for a youtuber, that is)!!!

Hope your having a good weekend Bill. Thanks for another video. Take care

grid heaters are awesome, less "parts" too, like having 8 glow plugs for a ford. not to mention having to change them...
Hey bill that is not a drain on the fuel separator that is a Pet cock it shuts the fuel off that is why it is not drilled out completely. KEEP UP THE GOOD VIDEOS!!!!!!!
i like this intro its my favourite of all the ones you have had pls keep it :)
Great vids keep it up subbed and liked

Super project! Enclosed cab!
Thats Called A GRID HEATER

i use a piece of sand paper to get my filters off
(just that little bit of grip helps a lot!)
cool vid. :) bill u need more work lights in ur work shop were the 110 is at. :)
Well worth maintaining :-))
You needed a KDS Nylon Strap Oil Filter Wrench
They work great for varying size filters!
The red ring is supposed to float when you get a lot of water in the fuel , so you can see it just by looking at the filter .
grate vid :)

Need to make a log book of service for this machine.

bill you filter is hard to take off because you don't oil the rubber before putting it on.
I am guessing that it would be easier to change the air filters if the loader was lowered to the ground. When you were working on it this way the cylinders and arms were right in your face.
I like those grabber ripper turner offer dewies lol
I have a john deere 3038e with the same fule filter and I undo the drain and it lets the water and deasel out
BILL! you NEVER put brake cleaner on plastics! ive had things shrivel up on me from that, and that fuel bowl seperator antler is like 60+ bucks USD from the dealer
Bill,You ever think about building a pole barn or bigger building to put everything in ??
How did the mice get into the cupboard?

Have you ever put some thouhgt into making a custom stack for the 110? with the flapper dohicky at the top?
I realize the video is 4 years old, but any chance you can throw a part number on the description for the fuel filters?
the filter spring is when the fliter is plugged bad the spring will bypass the oil
how manny hours do u have on your deer 110?
how many hours has that 110 running??
Wow it seems like nothing is easy to change on that tractor, the oil filter, the fuel filters, and the air filters. Would that make you not want to buy another deer? Just curious.
I don't think he buys them out of his pocket
i wouldnt be too concerned with the thermostat in the truck, my truck with the 350 (5.7l) runs around the same temp.
What machines did you use before the 2720 and the 110 tlb?
they had an old ford tractor here before with a 3 point hitch
Oh sweet, but did they use a three point hitch backhoe?
For farm sim sat can you do some more farming on the new DLC map that you played on a while back. Thanks.
Can you try sticking the GoPro on the 110's plow?
+39gadget because the arms block the side when they are down
U need to get out for a quad ride in the snow
You need a nice parts washer i use mine all the time
U got snow we got none
does your tractor smoke a lot when it needs an oil change because I think my 4510 needs it's fluids changed which I will but it's started smoking more and more
black smoke?
gray and sometimes dark black when I up the revs to accelerate
ow my buddys tractor started smoking bad and it needed a rebuild could be your injectors or your pump
Hey bill try out a mod for farming sim.It is on maps FS-UK.It is called Midwest USA Map.
change filter on the pump out side
What's Maple syrup, never heard of it?
you're joking, right?
Yes, lol I'm Canadian!

33:17 you have to bee smarter then the jug lol
never heard you drop the F bomb before. 32:58
yea I know he keeps the vids clean that's why i was kind of surprised. IDK it just doesn't sound like book to me but it makes sense.
farm sim snow map prolly?
what does TLB stand for?
tractor loader backhoe if i'm not mistaken
oh, thanks
If you put 5W-40 or 5W-30 in your tractor it should be easier to start and it is better on you oil pump
1st
the pick up in you're full tank you use to fill you're tractor is to close to the bottom billy thats why its full of shit ... if i remember you had a video and pretty much stuck er right at the bottom of that big tank i think its sucking up shit myself
