    My sister has CP. She makes loud outbursts during all moments of preaching, singing, praying. My parents felt they couldn't go to church for years until one day they found a church who ACCEPTS and LOVES them so much! They aren't bothered by her loudness❤ Hope you find a church that treats you like family!

    On the lady asking about her friend whose husband wants an open relationship: I was a very flirtatious terrible husband for years and I didn't think it was wrong because I wasn't "actually" doing anything. A few years ago I realized I needed the Word. I realized I was being a terrible husband by flirting, looking at porn, etc. When I realized I was being terrible I cut it all off. It hurt me to realize what I was doing to my wife and it was crushing for me to know how bad I was. Granger has said this before, married folk cannot have "friends" of the opposite sex. Your spouse is supposed to be your best friend. That is where the wife is wrong here. The husband is wrong because he should be putting his wife 100% as a priority after God. If God is not priority for him, his marriage definitely will not be. As a man with all of the access online and social media to the flesh, it can be hard if you don't want to focus on God and your wife. I am thankful that I was able to put that all behind me and that is why I started my podcast, to reach out to men (and women) on how they can start their paths to Jesus. I try to forgive myself for what I have done and I have had the hardest time doing this. IF you are married, your spouse comes first. You need to make it work. Love is a choice, not a feeling. Focus on your marriage. Make that the most important thing in your life after the Lord. If you do that, you can make your marriage work. This is my experience and I hope it helps someone.

    I agree with Granger 1000% it's sad that not a lot of people put value in marriage. Yes an open relationship is definitely adultery you are married to one person.

    I know, Granger, that you were just explaining the Baptist view of baptism, but I almost think you made it harder than it needs to be. I believe you said that typically a person doesn’t understand the significance of baptism until they’re in their teen years. I don’t know that a person really needs to understand it quite as deeply as I think you said they do. In Acts 2:41 it says, “So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.” If they were baptized the same day they were saved then I doubt they had a full understanding of all that Christ had done for them. I also think of the Ethiopian eunuch who is baptized after talking to Phillip. It says that Phillip told him the good news of Jesus Christ, but how fully could he have under after just that short of time. I don’t see anywhere in the Bible that says a person has to fully understand all that Christ did for them before they are baptized. Baptism is an identification with Christ, death, burial and resurrection. I’m not sure that it’s necessary to understand the full doctoral impact of all of that before when is baptized.

      I don’t think that’s what Granger was saying. I understood him to mean that they understand what baptism is and why they are doing it. I saw it as a contrast to infant baptism where the child has no idea what’s happening or why it’s happening. None of us will fully understand all of what God has left us to learn in His Word, but we can understand what Jesus has done for us and how baptism connects to it.

    I’m familiar with old colony church. It a very religious group that to get married you first have to become a member of the church and to become a member you must be baptized. They also teach that you are saved by your works and you can only hope that you make it to heaven, so most people that are baptized in that church do it only so they can get married. I am also familiar with the church the person in the last question if calling “by grace church” and they believe in believers baptism and that comes after you are born again, so the sprinkling in the old colony is not sufficient because it mostly happened for the wrong reasons.

    You just have to love kids. 52:14 😂 You had 6 seconds left and they were doing loud kid stuff. It is great that they are outside and not stuck on the computer device. My 4 kids, ages 24 - 32 still talk about play out in our woods.

    On the topic of Baptism: What are your thoughts about "only" Christians getting into heaven? Doesn't the "thieves on the cross" disprove that? Thanks and love the podcast :).

    • @bowed305
      @bowed305 2 місяці тому

      Why would we believe that the thief on the cross doesn’t qualify as a Christian? I guess it comes down to how you’re defining a Christian. What would you do with all of the faithful who lived and died prior to Christ’s time on earth?

    Only the Lord fully knows and understands those who belong to Him. We must be born again, which is definitely true. Confessing and repenting in the fact, that WITHOUT Him. We're lost for all eternity

    When Jesus sent out the seventy he told them to be wise as serpents buy gentle as doves. Being wise as serpents there are places I don't tread because I know I have a problem, but I see others go and aren't phased one bit with temptation. With me it was cutting off my arm losing friends and having my flesh scream in agony.

      Kind of reminds me of the Isrealites being bitten by serpents. They look at the tree with a serpent pinned ti it and they would live, but I'm sure if they were bit by the rocks on creak bed it would be more than a minute before they returned there again.
