'04 PORSCHE 996 TURBO Factory Coolant Leak Fix |We Use What on a Porsche?

A good client of ours recently purchased this 2004 Porsche 996 Turbo. It's a great looking car that needs a bit of maintenance to get it track ready. Fred jumps in to help install new coil packs, spark plugs and exhaust while Brandon tackles a hidden coolant leak somewhere in that very small engine compartment. It's a fairly straight forward repair but getting to it is a challenge. Brandon also shows you how to properly bleed the cooling system on a Porsche.

Years ago I had to do a head gasket on on of these what a pain in the ass that was and had to buy a "special tool" to get the head bolts out. Never again

It's hard to imagine that adhesive holds it together. I'd have used PC7 as I prefer that for epoxy, but JB Weld is a close second.

If the issue happens again (there’s more than one tube like that) we’re dropping the engine and I’m welding them all.

Ive heard more issues with welding than with jb welding. I jb welded mine and its held up so far

When it comes to Porsche I think any swap is worse than the Oem engine. That being said, I put K’s in everything else.
