They fear the moment that Robyn's kids learn that Robyn and Kody severed them from their family. They fear that Robyn's kids will come to hate them for lying to them.
And she keeps them away from the others bc she knows those kids would be greeted with open arms, love and warmth from the OG’s. That would ruin her narrative with her kids. She has to keep them away to keep the fear going
I remember Janelle mentioning that when Kody would stay over, he’d have to leave very early in the morning so that he could help with Ari and sol in the morning. Which was not something the other moms and kiddos experienced.
Timeline: It was Logan and Michelle's wedding. They were married October 22, 2022. They were married 11 months after the big Christmas blow up between Kody and Janelle in December 2021. Janelle and Kody had been separated for almost a year. Christine and Truely left Flagstaff in September 2021. Meri and Kody announced that they were separated on Jan 10, 2023. They had parted ways months earlier. All 3 of the OG3 had left Kody before Logan’s wedding. This was the first family gathering since their break ups.
It also speaks volumes that Christine understands and accepts Robyn will always be in Mykelti's life versus Robyn not letting her children be around many of the adult children and doesn't bring her kids to any events and tells Ari stuff about Christine enough to that Ari says she doesn't like Christine. It speaks volumes that Christine is so much more of a lady!
The wounds in this family run so deep. Aspen's wedding was about 6 weeks before the move to Flagstaff. Kody made himself the centre of attention. I hardly noticed Aspen, the bride. Kody was giving Christine's daughter attention and Christine loved that. Kody loved Aspen's wedding for himself.
'Healing' does not mean going back to the way things were. i.e. Kody thinking that maybe he and Meri should be friends because he has too many enemies. Kody thinks that 'healing' means rolling back the clock to the way things were when he was the centre of attention and everyone appeared to adore him. To me, healing means finding your way forward and being at peace with your past. Some relationships evolve, other relationships fade away. It does not mean going backwards.
The thing with Ari is that there’s many different reasons and circumstances why a dad (or any parent) might be gone for periods of time. There’s plenty of jobs that require people to be away from home (trucking, industry where you live in work camps, remote seasonal work, etc.). Plenty of families make these situations work by building their kids’ resiliency and setting expectations.
Families with members who have narcissistic personalities can heal, but the healing is different for those families. The reality is that some members must separate or limit contact and make boundaries to protect themselves from further hurt by the narcissist or narcissists. The Browns will never be able to be "one big happy family" - which, in actual fact, they never were. We're seeing how the undercurrents of jealously, neglect, disrespect, lying, and disconnect were there all along - just hidden from the outside world. I was married to a narcissist. He was a pretty good dad to the kids when they were young, but as they grew up with opinions and ideas of their own, he disrespected them - much like Kody has done. We divorced and basically have not spoken except for situations like weddings for 20 years. We're cordial, but like my children, I have set up boundaries.
Cody and Robyn are running their mouth about the other wives. And they’re just mad they can’t spend the other wives money anymore. Robyn has never shared Cody with the other wives and took all their money. She is evil and messy.

I don't think that Janelle would ever be able to reunite in a marriage-type relationship with Kody for several reasons. First, Robyn would never allow Kody to actually have relationships with Janelle or her children. Robyn - having never lived in a real polygamist relationship - would feel threatened for herself and her kids by any attention or time Kody spent with Janelle and her kid and make Kody's life a living hell. Also, Kody, having a narcissistic personality, will never be able to be a good husband or father and I think Janelle cannot abide that especially after seeing what happened with Garrison and hearing the pain her other kids have voiced about the treatment they have received. Janelle says she still believes in the Principle, so she may not need or want a "divorce" as she may be perfectly happy single and is not seeking to get into another relationship.

I can see where plural marriage is destructive and hurtful for everyone involved. Unfortunately Kody seems very immature. He doesn’t seem to realize the mess is his creation. Of course this is a situation that I personally would never consider as a lifestyle for myself.
Kody did everything he could to push Meri, Christine, and Janelle out. He lead Meri on for years making her thinking they could have a relationship again. Kody was going to try to do the same thing to Christine, and she was having none of it. Notice when Kody finally pushed Christine out, he then turned to work on Janelle. Everything that has come to pass has been because of Kody. The healing of the family can't happen unless Kody changes his victim mentality, and owns up to he, and his actions are the reason things fell apart.

Mykelti said on her patron that something happened at Garrisons service and there is now a break in her relationship with Robin and Kody. She did not know they were selling the house or where Kody and Robin are moving. Not a lot of communication now
I agree that if Kody had a better relationship with Janelle’s children she would probably have stayed. I think now after the sad passing of Garrison and the fact that Kody is still not attempting to heal relationships there is zero chance of that happening. Which for Janelle is not a bad thing as she deserves more than a few crumbs of Kody’s time and affection. I feel so sad for the children as the pain of rejection from Kody has got to have wounded them deeply. Plus Robyn’s children must live with the fact that if they don’t worship Kody that he will reject them too and that must cause a lot of insecurities.
Kody needs to go back and watch the show from the beginning. He was saying completely different things. I think the explanation is simple. His ego thought he could get away with favoring one wife, then it got hurt when that backfired. And now he’s mad. But because of his ego, he has to be the victim. (And so does Robyn, by the way). I think it is possible for this family to come together again but only if Kody and Robynn can admit that they created a situation, even if it wasn’t on purpose, that they put their needs and desires above the needs of the entire family and created a situation which was unfair and unliveable for the rest of the family. Do I think this is going to happen? No.
It’s not that some wounds are too deep to heal. I don’t think ANY wound is incurable. It’s all about the level of narcissism and lack of accountability of the person who did the hurting. The greater the delusion of the false “playing the victim”, the less chance of that wound ever healing.

I've watched the Sister Wives since it very first aired and this is all just heartbreaking. I believe that some of these relationship will never be repaired - Kody's queer children specifically unless he really made some sincere non-narcissistic amends. I also think that Garrison's death and the memorial made an even bigger Canyon of a Split in the family.

Logan and Michelle asked for it to not be on the show, but their parents went against their wishes and used them for a storyline And also kinda lied, because the wedding was in Arizona Kody and making it all about him- so gross!
The bottom line is, Robyn from day one was treated differently by Kody than the other wives ever were and that included the way her children were treated by Kody as well. Robyn thinks Kody is the best dad because of how he treats her children but that isn’t the same way all of the other kids were reared by him. I don’t know why she can’t see and understand that.
Janelle left Kody for two years in the beginning of their marriage, so I always have a slight feeling she would still go back to him. I always thought she was the strongest of the wives, but I don't think she is.

No, that's not true. Michelle commented in an Instagram post that they didn’t want the wedding to be filmed or their names be mentioned. I read it that they didn't want the wedding to be a theme at all, but I can be wrong about the last one.
Truely are almost the same age as Solomon (the oldest Robin and Kody have together), but Kody has neglected her all her life. Only Robyn’s kids that are the “small ones”. Christine is now suing Kody to acknowledge Truely as his child and child support. Is that a big step to do in the polygamy world?
Gwen and Leon are also married but also did not want it on the broadcast. I believe Leon had a courthouse wedding and Gwen had something small at home (I think during Covid?)

I'm not at all a Robyn fan, but Ari would know about Christine leaving from when Mykelti forced everyone to get together outside Christine's house right before Christine and Truely moved away. Ari yelled to Christine "Have dates!" as her solution to what was happening between Christine and Kody.
I think relationships can heal BUT everyone has to be willing to sit and acknowledge whatever pain was caused. If you have one parent that is fine to a have a relationship with the other parent but the other parent is still being dysfunctional it will never get better. And it hurts the kids no matter what age they are. Trying to plan events with the stress of knowing your parents hate each other is truly unfair. And the thing is most kids love both their parents even if one or both have hurt them. I think deep down the kids just want to matter to the parents more the egos.
Janelle was legally married and divorced from Meri's brother prior to her spiritual marriage with Kody. I think a second divorce is exceedingly hard, and she deserves some grace for taking her time with things. I also agree with Melissa's comment that had Kody worked on his relationships with their children, she likely would have stayed married to him.
I think healing is possible for anyone, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be scars and hopefully better boundaries. It wouldn’t mean things go back to the way they were. It just means you can move on without anger and hatred/bitterness.
No healing for the original family because there has to be underlying love and respect, and you never get that from one narcissist, let alone two. Kody and Robyn amplify each other. The OG3s were flung away from the devouring, self-absorbed black hole of that couple. That's okay. The older kids have loving mothers and will have happiness in their own new families.

Kody being estranged from Garrison contributed to his death. That now can never be made right so I don't think Janelle could forgive that. Also it has been said that most of the kids do not watch the show. (I don't know if it's true but that's what many kids have said in interviews and podcasts.)

Aspen's wedding was about 6 weeks before the move to Flagstaff. Kody made himself the centre of attention. I hardly noticed Aspen, the bride. Kody was giving Christine's daughter attention and Christine loved that. Kody loved Aspen's wedding for himself.
Some wounds are to deep and will never heal.
'Healing' does not mean going back to the way things were. i.e. Kody thinking that maybe he and Meri should be friends because he has too many enemies. Kody thinks that 'healing' means rolling back the clock to the way things were when he was the centre of attention and everyone appeared to adore him. To me, healing means finding your way forward and being at peace with your past. Some relationships evolve, other relationships fade away. It does not mean going backwards.
The thing with Ari is that there’s many different reasons and circumstances why a dad (or any parent) might be gone for periods of time. There’s plenty of jobs that require people to be away from home (trucking, industry where you live in work camps, remote seasonal work, etc.). Plenty of families make these situations work by building their kids’ resiliency and setting expectations.

Families with members who have narcissistic personalities can heal, but the healing is different for those families. The reality is that some members must separate or limit contact and make boundaries to protect themselves from further hurt by the narcissist or narcissists. The Browns will never be able to be "one big happy family" - which, in actual fact, they never were. We're seeing how the undercurrents of jealously, neglect, disrespect, lying, and disconnect were there all along - just hidden from the outside world. I was married to a narcissist. He was a pretty good dad to the kids when they were young, but as they grew up with opinions and ideas of their own, he disrespected them - much like Kody has done. We divorced and basically have not spoken except for situations like weddings for 20 years. We're cordial, but like my children, I have set up boundaries.
Cody and Robyn are running their mouth about the other wives. And they’re just mad they can’t spend the other wives money anymore. Robyn has never shared Cody with the other wives and took all their money. She is evil and messy.

I feel that if Robyn cared that much about Mykelti, she would have came to Avalon’s birth. Not just peep via Zoom. If it was one of her own, she would have RAN over there.
I don't think that Janelle would ever be able to reunite in a marriage-type relationship with Kody for several reasons. First, Robyn would never allow Kody to actually have relationships with Janelle or her children. Robyn - having never lived in a real polygamist relationship - would feel threatened for herself and her kids by any attention or time Kody spent with Janelle and her kid and make Kody's life a living hell. Also, Kody, having a narcissistic personality, will never be able to be a good husband or father and I think Janelle cannot abide that especially after seeing what happened with Garrison and hearing the pain her other kids have voiced about the treatment they have received. Janelle says she still believes in the Principle, so she may not need or want a "divorce" as she may be perfectly happy single and is not seeking to get into another relationship.
I think k&r thought this sob story about a crying kid when Kody left would garner them sympathy but hello backfire now we just see FOR SURE you guys were treating Robyn’s kids differently than the other kids. Do you not think those kids also wanted their dad at home? Just because they didn’t cry and scream, those other kids were missing their dad too. THE NERVE OF THESE TWO LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRES
I can see where plural marriage is destructive and hurtful for everyone involved. Unfortunately Kody seems very immature. He doesn’t seem to realize the mess is his creation. Of course this is a situation that I personally would never consider as a lifestyle for myself.
Kody did everything he could to push Meri, Christine, and Janelle out. He lead Meri on for years making her thinking they could have a relationship again. Kody was going to try to do the same thing to Christine, and she was having none of it. Notice when Kody finally pushed Christine out, he then turned to work on Janelle. Everything that has come to pass has been because of Kody. The healing of the family can't happen unless Kody changes his victim mentality, and owns up to he, and his actions are the reason things fell apart.

Mykelti said on her patron that something happened at Garrisons service and there is now a break in her relationship with Robin and Kody. She did not know they were selling the house or where Kody and Robin are moving. Not a lot of communication now
I agree that if Kody had a better relationship with Janelle’s children she would probably have stayed. I think now after the sad passing of Garrison and the fact that Kody is still not attempting to heal relationships there is zero chance of that happening. Which for Janelle is not a bad thing as she deserves more than a few crumbs of Kody’s time and affection. I feel so sad for the children as the pain of rejection from Kody has got to have wounded them deeply. Plus Robyn’s children must live with the fact that if they don’t worship Kody that he will reject them too and that must cause a lot of insecurities.

Kody needs to go back and watch the show from the beginning. He was saying completely different things. I think the explanation is simple. His ego thought he could get away with favoring one wife, then it got hurt when that backfired. And now he’s mad. But because of his ego, he has to be the victim. (And so does Robyn, by the way). Neither one of them take ANY accountability.
Logan and Michelle had asked the family not to talk about the wedding AT ALL on the show according to Michelle, and their “compromise” was talking about it anyway but being mysterious about details. Another example of the parents completely disrespecting the kids boundaries for the sake of a payday
I think it is possible for this family to come together again but only if Kody and Robynn can admit that they created a situation, even if it wasn’t on purpose, that they put their needs and desires above the needs of the entire family and created a situation which was unfair and unliveable for the rest of the family.
Do I think this is going to happen?
No.
It’s not that some wounds are too deep to heal. I don’t think ANY wound is incurable. It’s all about the level of narcissism and lack of accountability of the person who did the hurting. The greater the delusion of the false “playing the victim”, the less chance of that wound ever healing.

I've watched the Sister Wives since it very first aired and this is all just heartbreaking. I believe that some of these relationship will never be repaired - Kody's queer children specifically unless he really made some sincere non-narcissistic amends. I also think that Garrison's death and the memorial made an even bigger Canyon of a Split in the family.
Janelle admitted at 1st that if Kody fixed his relationship with her boys she would stay. I believe now even if he fixed the relationship she wouldnt stay bc SO much damage has been done. Janelle has been hurt too badly
And they moved to Flagstaff because Robyn “needed” to be where Dayton was going to college
I wonder why Robyn wanted to join the family. She isn't good at plural marriage. She talks like she is, but it's not what we see. She has the big house, and yet she never invites anyone over except maybe one holiday a year. She is supposed to be the mother to all of Kody's kids, but she's never been as involved as any of the other wives. She says she wants sister wives, but she has always seemed to hoard the husband and resources.
Ideas?
1. It could be she really really wanted to be in polygamy, that she thought it was a great system.
2. Maybe she wanted to make up for her and her mother's unsatisfying experience of polygamy, being the almost-hidden wife.
3. Maybe after a year as a single mom, she wanted more help, more support.
4. Maybe she really really fell in love with Kody, and would marry him no matter what the situation.
5. Maybe the 'Diesel Jeans Model" wanted to be on the TLC show and be a star.
6. Maybe she thought she'd get a lot better funding from being in Kody's family, so that she never has to work again.

The bottom line is, Robyn from day one was treated differently by Kody than the other wives ever were and that included the way her children were treated by Kody as well. Robyn thinks Kody is the best dad because of how he treats her children but that isn’t the same way all of the other kids were reared by him. I don’t know why she can’t see and understand that.
Janelle left Kody for two years in the beginning of their marriage, so I always have a slight feeling she would still go back to him. I always thought she was the strongest of the wives, but I don't think she is.
See, i think the opposite. I think the fact that Janelle left once or twice before proves that this was her final straw. She put up with him, because she didn’t want to destroy the whole family for her children, but once the kids told her it was fine to be done with him, she committed to being permanently done. I think he has treated her kids badly for many many years!

It would have completely altered things had they at the time of Moving Robyn to Lehi, had Robyn moved into Meri s side of the Lehi house with Meri.

The person said that Michelle herself mentioned it somewhere on social media, and she was really embarrassed by the way it was addressed. (i.e., They were ok with their names being mentioned.)
No, that's not true. Michelle commented in an Instagram post that they didn’t want the wedding to be filmed or their names be mentioned. I read it that they didn't want the wedding to be a theme at all, but I can be wrong about the last one.
Truely are almost the same age as Solomon (the oldest Robin and Kody have together), but Kody has neglected her all her life. Only Robyn’s kids that are the “small ones”.
Christine is now suing Kody to acknowledge Truely as his child and child support. Is that a big step to do in the polygamy world?

@@meggie423 I agree. I don't have much good to say about either Robyn or Kody, but when I read comments or hear other YT channels have nicknames, I lose a lot of respect for what they say or write.
I'm not at all a Robyn fan, but Ari would know about Christine leaving from when Mykelti forced everyone to get together outside Christine's house right before Christine and Truely moved away. Ari yelled to Christine "Have dates!" as her solution to what was happening between Christine and Kody.
But where does a 5-6 year old get the idea that they have to go on more dates? I'm guessing that some adults close to her have talked about it.
Robin didn't want to share Kody at all
I think relationships can heal BUT everyone has to be willing to sit and acknowledge whatever pain was caused. If you have one parent that is fine to a have a relationship with the other parent but the other parent is still being dysfunctional it will never get better. And it hurts the kids no matter what age they are. Trying to plan events with the stress of knowing your parents hate each other is truly unfair.
And the thing is most kids love both their parents even if one or both have hurt them. I think deep down the kids just want to matter to the parents more the egos.
Janelle was legally married and divorced from Meri's brother prior to her spiritual marriage with Kody. I think a second divorce is exceedingly hard, and she deserves some grace for taking her time with things. I also agree with Melissa's comment that had Kody worked on his relationships with their children, she likely would have stayed married to him.
I’d feel sorry for Kody if he were actually able to take some real responsibility for his own actions.

I think healing is possible for anyone, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be scars and hopefully better boundaries. It wouldn’t mean things go back to the way they were. It just means you can move on without anger and hatred/bitterness.

No healing for the original family because there has to be underlying love and respect, and you never get that from one narcissist, let alone two. Kody and Robyn amplify each other. The OG3s were flung away from the devouring, self-absorbed black hole of that couple. That's okay. The older kids have loving mothers and will have happiness in their own new families.

Divorce is raw in the beginning. But, as time goes on, it gets easier to be around the other person. I am friendly with my kids' dads. It's taken years, but the kids are most important.

Melissa I do think Janelle would have taken Kody back if he tried harder with her kids but after her son passing I don't think it could ever be repaired. Kody being estranged from Garrison contributed to his death. That now can never be made right so I don't think Janelle could forgive that.
Also it has been said that most of the kids do not watch the show. (I don't know if it's true but that's what many kids have said in interviews and podcasts.)
