I don’t know why Peter was wasting his time as LB, because he’s excellent and better off working for him self. He really shined after leaving LB is producing some excellent content, keep up the excellent work and congrats brother
@@LARGERTHANLIFE21 I was doing this well before going there 😂 honestly learned the power of social media which I was never really doing because I was strictly wholesale
Either way it helped him become more known so his time there was well spent in that regard Good luck Peter keep on doing well, you make me wish to be in the industry
Great video, I would like to know the comparison of your new venture vs what you were making at LB. To me it seems you are having more fun and bringing in much more than what you were doing at LB Thanks
1. Start out each video by showing what you have in your inventory. Show the actual watch not a picture on the screen. 2. If you have 2 watches in your inventory, do a short 1-2 minute head-to-head competition. For example, a Daytona vs a Speedmaster comparison.
How can you get an expensive watch from anyone se but this man. Even if his price a little higher, piece of mind on a watch investment of this calibar is priceless.
Wow do I resonate with our sentiments toward people that want free advice and service! I too have a youtube channel (not this one) that specializes in BMW motorcycle maintenance and I cannot believe how many people demand free priority service just because they watch my free content! They continually try to make their emergency my own and at least 95% of them never say thanks or even let me know if my solutions work. You know this already but we need to have STRONG boundaries and not get offended easily!
Exactly, in my case it’s honestly borderline disrespectful if you come to me then decide to go elsewhere, I have no obligation to help or give you advice. I like to help everyone at the end of the day, but I kind of had to make a point as I’m starting to realize what my time is worth and this was taking a fair amount of my time.
Peter, great to see you are succeeding right out of the chute! January is traditionally a slow month so $500,000 in sales is great! I plan on reaching out once I am ready to buy my next watch.
My dad ran over his datejust 16030 back in the late 80s by accident after leaving the watch on the driveway while changing oil on our car. RSC repaired and serviced it like new. I inherited the watch, and it's still my favorite in my collection. I actually just had it serviced. You should repair it. I'm still amazed by how durable my Rolex watches are...
Yep! It’s crazy, I’m sure RSC replaced a ton of parts as well unfortunately here it’s cost affective as the watch is only worth 2-3k more than repair cost
Loving all the different content. From watch restoration to customer stuff. ( I really thought that Patek guy was gonna be a tire kicker) Congrats on that sale and a great month 👊🏻👊🏻
Thanks Michael! And you always have to treat everyone the same you never know what could happen. Sometimes it dies in a day, sometimes it pans out worth the trouble😂
I love the channel! My only recommendation would be to pace yourself. There's so much in this video and I feel like it could be broken up into multiple videos. Maybe two videos a month. One focused on sales and the other focused on repair. I think Wristwatch Revival does a great job talking through the process of restoring a watch and really going step by step through the process. And as for sales, I really enjoy learning more about watches through the context of a sale. I think you can do something different by filming the conversations you're having with one buyer over the course of a few days and condensing it into one video showing the whole back and forth of the buying process from start to finish. That's something we don't really get to see on other channels. Keep up the amazing work!!
Agree with you 100% on the Coral RED, always thought it was the best option as soon as those OP dials came out. I know they are still obtainable but that premium....
Thank you for an awesome channel. Question: Why are Breitlings and Tag Heuer never mentioned here and in the other similar channels? Are they at too low of a price point, or is it a popularty US/Europe difference?
for most those brands don't sell well & often the profits associated are not worth the time I try to sell everything, but in the grand scheme if you could make 500 in a few minutes or 500 in a few weeks from a sale the first choice is obvious! nothing against the brands though they make great watches!
I always look forward to your videos, 1st lol EDIT ok wtf, yes they're very durable watches, that doesn't mean you can run them over, it means they will keep proper time when you wear them in rough conditions you know like at the gym or swimming hell even in the battlefield, but not running it over with a car and you know his friends laughed their asses off at him.
but what if we bought the watches already and just found your channel to want to give you a try, can we still ask you for a appraisal first before i buy my next watch from you?
Congratulations on your success Peter. You always treated me well while you were at luxury bazaar. It's too bad they delivered my watch that you found for me in New York because the following Monday they called me and told me they had to wash my watch and I wish to deal with Marco. I don't know who found the watch for me but it's a great watch and I love it. I did reach out for you on my 36 mm that I gave to someone very special. So she's got the 36, and I have the 41 that you got for me. It's all about three, I'm going to trade one off and I'm also going to sell my vintage VC and my Cartier tank American with complications. . I'm going to buy the VC 222 or a yellow gold president. I want something new or like new. So I'm posting this year you have my contact info. Thanks for the great video you're doing a wonderful job!
Hey Peter, I have a random question for you. If you got water in your Rolex (leaving the crown unscrewed), would it make sense to fill the watch with oil or alcohol to try to avoid any rusting until you can get it to a repair shop?
make sure you at least achieve 10-15% margin to stay alive and margins like 20-30% are fine and normal for businesses and for some brands the profit margins are higher. When I am in the US it would be great to do a video.
10-15% or even 20-30% is unachievable for every single deal. Please note the overall PM on the numbers is a combined percentage, if you go through individual deals most are well within the 10-15% Cost of goods, polish, shipping etc very quickly eat away at margin but that’s where volume comes into play.
@@Peterpic operating costs are always higher and I think every business I have ever looked at has always under estimates cost of sale. You are right and you are doing very well (in context) if you are achieving 5% in total overall that is very good.
@@Peterpic Thanks for answer and btw good job with videos - I like them. I noticed you when watching LB videos. So if anyone purchased pre-owned Patek with rubber strap and strap doesnt fit you, you need to purchase additional rubber strap from Patek again? For half of the price of the watch? ;) make a video in the future with good "ordinary" watches and brands under 1000$ (for regular people) ;) Such as Festina, tissot etc. Which brands are good and worth to buy if you dont want to spend 10k+ on a watch.
As much as I can for both, never really a set goal in mind for sales I aim for 20k a month profit so it’s pretty easy to back track and figure out how much I need to sell and at what margin
If you read this you shouldn’t be selling something in 10 minutes … means you had upside on price. I’m not talking about gouging … just making sure you are getting fair value for your efforts Peter. You are taking significant risk in a volatile market.
90% of everything that comes in is usually sold same day, granted I may take a few 100$ less than what I should but the wheels keep turning and the show goes on. I get what you’re saying entirely however !

I’m certain he learned something about social media there. Also gave him massive exposure. Smart move by him.

Hey Peter, I have a random question for you. If you got water in your Rolex (leaving the crown unscrewed), would it make sense to fill the watch with oil or alcohol to try to avoid any rusting until you can get it to a repair shop?
Alcohol maybe but once water is in there it’s pretty much counting down the clock until rusting starts, alcohol will also damage some parts

How is this rubber strap on Patek with fixed buckle (not holes) adjustable? I dont understand this. What if you have a bigger or smaller wrist?
