"looking at the same evidence as Preston Jacobs, but reaching more reasonable conclusions" is probably the most accidently widespread past time in the "community" around these books hahaha
I can *personally* vouch for the amazing quality of the folks found in the Interesting Nerd Club Discord. It was through them that I was able to meet and become close friends with a fascinating, brilliant, and utterly unique young woman unlike anyone else I've met! It's a fully platonic friendship, which is precisely how we both want it to be, and I truly could not both be more fortunate, and happy with how our relationship has evolved! Truly a friendship from which I have learned an incredible amount, found a kindred spirit, and a valuable supportive voice in my life!
@@MeeraReads Thanks, I agree. I really do surivive thanks to my utterly insane luck I have with meeting amazing people, and she is one more (no less baffling) example of a smart, insightful, compassionate and interesting person I get to have in my life! And it all started with reading the room *wrong*, and feeling the need to apologize for an awful joke I told...so my social skills cannot explain my fortune...
I think that Ser Strong does not have a head at all. The easiest way to keep the Martell's off the Lannister's case and make a knight that is wholly under Qyburn's control.
You’re likely right about the dwarf’s head being sent to Dorne , however, I do love the idea of the Mountain being decapitated and Rob Starks head being on Rob Strong. Regardless of what roll it plays, we definitely haven’t seen the last of Rob Starks corpse.
I like that it ties in the dwarf heads. It would be interesting if The Mountain wound up with Robb’s head, but I’m not sure how delivery would work logistically. The Red Wedding happened after Jaime and Qyburn got to King’s Landing
about the valonquar - the qyburn/oberyn proximity to cersei through affc is intriguing bc werent jaime/cersei on the table for marriages to oberyn/elia when the were kids. and at least per show canon, cersei’s woodswitch prophecy was timed around the same time as those marriage visits to casterly rock… maybe the woodswitch just was saying “low key its that dude” . guess derivation of term valonquar could support or debunk
If whoever sat in judgment and also acted as champion in Tyrion's trial was not really Oberyn but an imposter, were a future regime to discover this it could be used as grounds to dismiss Tyrion's conviction.
I watch all your videos binge now since an hour. They gave me new good input and ideas for my long running Ice and Fire RPG groups in Germany. I have 2 groups. They both play at the same time in the year 288 AC and interact sometimes, one in the North as vassal of House Karstark and one in Dorne under House Wyl.
Do you have thoughts on the potential that Doran is in contact through dreams with perhaps a glass candle holder? and if you endorse that idea do you think those dreams may be coming from Kingslanding and not Oldtown?
Unless Doran describes a dream or we get a POV of his dream, I think he was just being slow and pensive. Like the moment with Jon and Ghost at the Wall, this paints a picture of Doran’s character- comically slow to act. Just like it with with Jon - he’ll sacrifice the hope of what makes him happy for the sake of duty and honor (and not burning his gods and his fathers gods, since that was part of the bargain if he took Winterfell. He looked at Ghost and realized that having Winterfell meant nothing if he had to burn the godswood)
Holy hearing loss, Crow Man! The volume change from your previous video to this one was alarming!! But, thank you for the content and all the work y'all do for my entertainment.
They can (mostly) be watched independently. The theories become increasingly more tinfoil as the series goes on. Glad you’re interested in all 4 parts! I’ll hopefully have part 4.5 uploaded next week
I’m not feeling the guy in disguise concept here, but, what if qyburn was a Martel bastard, and a favorite uncle of oberyn at the citadel? When kindly uncle was unchained he might decide to take his leave of that place. And regarding the Yronwood duel. That house is often a PIA for the Martels, it could have been a more deliberate thing than it seems.
@@MeeraReads AND THIS TOO: i'm sure Grand maester Pycelle is a Lanister bastard. or a Lanister second or third son. consider the P/T constanat shift, and it'd be Tycelle, right?
Arya kills Jaime, take his face, kills Cersei. Jaime becoming a good man can't happen. That would be happy and good itself. Nope, we get a goodness turned to ashes.

very funny indeed! My thanks!
Its only now I have come to realise Oberyn's first duel and his last duel parallel so very much! Oberyn really had it coming.
The man everyone thinks is Oberyn is actually his oldest son, which is why he looks like a Martell yet hasn't aged as much as Doran
This actually makes way more sense than the theory I published about Oberyn’s sons

It’s a possibility! Zac is a great person to work with (likewise Tom)
might have left the citadel simply after he had info he wanted

Yeah, I was still figuring out audio when I was starting out. I may go back and re-record some of the really bad ones
I could really get behind this theory I hope Winds of Winter will provide further proof of it.
