My two pieces of advice would be to remember that no matter what is going on with your children, it is just a stage and it will not always be that way. The other thing is to remember that the days are long, but the years are short.❤👵🏻
Exactly. At the time it seems what ever is going on will never end when really a day or week is nothing compared to years which turns in to decades and I say that because now my two boys are not boys any longer they are grown men at 22 years and 25 years. And now I sit back and say wow where did the time go?? All the while smiling at who they are now!
Don’t let anyone tell you that you’ll spoil your baby if you hold them too much, it’s not true and holding them is what you’ll miss the most so Hold your baby as much as you can ❤
I had a nurse tell me my 2 day old baby was spoiled because he cried when I was in the shower. He was inthe nursery, he was hungry etc. Thank goodness he was my second baby so I let her have her ideas and I had mine.
OHoney, don't be nervous. The Lord has been preparing you for this precious little human from day 1. You will be surprised at just how much will come second nature to you. You will do just fine ❤
My grandmother gave me some good advice. She always said that if a baby is fed, has a clean diaper and is still fussy, they might be cold. Cuddle them in a nice warm blanket and hold them close. This worked every time for my babies.
I pictured my husband and I still doing the things we'd enjoyed as a couple, like traveling and camping, simply bringing baby along. I found out that, for me, it was just much easier to care for a child with all the comforts of home around me. We modified our trips to maybe just a few hours spent at a park. Yes, things will be different, but not in a bad way! My mom's best advice: Just love 'em. Then all the rest falls into place. My advice: Have fun! Children can be goofy and silly, and you'll remember the times you laugh more than the times you cry.
Great to see Tipper relaxing after all the stress of the past few weeks. Corrine, just remember no matter how many baby books you read, the baby hasn't and will do his own thing. Just enjoy the little guy, time passes so quickly.
⚘ When in doubt, choose Love. You're such a Natural, Corie girl. What an amazing Mama and Daddy your boy chose and what a special Family to be a part of. Well done, Little Bit! 👶
My advice. That first year goes by so fast and it's your bonding time too. Don't be afraid to hold your baby as much as you want because there will come a time when baby will not want to be held. Pray over your babies too. May God bless you both and family.
Best advice I ever received was don't make it a quiet environment for baby to sleep. Baby will learn to sleep through everyday noises. If everything is always quiet every little noise will wake them. So play music, watch TV, talk or whatever you normally do. You and Katie will be great moms.
My Momma Used To Say When Your Little You Step On My Feet 🐾 And When Your Grown You Step On My Heart ❤️ A Mother Worries About Her Baby Even When There Grown.....
I agree, and probably even more so, when they're grown. Mine are 47 and almost 44. I try hard not to worry about them, but a Mama always has her babies on her mind.
My little bit of advice, for what it’s worth, is to not decline help when it’s offered. If your mom or your mother-in-law wants to help out occasionally, let her. You will need a break every once in a while. It will give you some time to de-stress. Also don’t be afraid to ask for help when you feel overwhelmed. We all go through it. Mothers and mothers-in-law are excellent resources for new moms. Take advantage of them. ❤
I wish I had something different to add, but everyone has pretty much covered it including, "This too shall pass" which is what my Mama always said too, along with, "when they place the baby on you all the other stuff just disappears"! Although I don't have children of my own, I was my neice's nanny for her first 7 years and it was such a Wonderful Time I'll never forget it and yes, the time goes super fast because she just graduated from UCHICAGO this past Saturday! So Yeah, follow your Mom's footsteps and you can't go wrong! Thanks for including us all because we all think of you as family, too and Love and Pray for you all!
The best advice I can offer is… Always strive to be in the moment, it DOES truly pass so fast. Loving them with all your heart doesn’t mean giving your child everything they want in life or not disciplining. Fixing everything for your children doesn’t allow them to learn how to do for themselves and we won’t always be there to fix things for them. But MOST importantly is to really make the conscious decision to be in the moment. I can’t stress that one enough. So many things people will tell you about their experience but their experience may not be yours. Every situation is different and every child is different. Do everything as unto the Lord and commit your ways to Him and He’ll direct your steps. None of us is a “perfect” parent and no child is “perfect”. We do our best and trust the Lord for the rest. Buckle up sweet girl and enjoy the ride 💕
We in L&D call it pregnancy amnesia. It's definitely a thing. My favorite part of children is seeing old things through their eyes. The first time they see the ocean, a flower, even just a warm blanket.
“This too will pass” was one of my Mom’s best sayings she shared with us. It always helped, even to this day. Corie, we have no doubt that motherhood will be a breeze for you. Your baby is so blessed to have such a wonderful mother and father. God bless you as you enter into this new phase of life. We are praying for an easy delivery❣️
Enjoy every moment when your newborn is so tiny. I wish they could stay that tiny for at least a year. They are so precious. It’s hard to do without sleep but how wonderful that you have so much help nearby. So excited for all of you.
My wife of 50 years is really great with children. She has worked in daycare, owned daycare businesses and 5 1/2 yrs of being group home parents. I tagged along taking care of 100’s of children. Focus on the good. You can’t hold them enough. Kids grow up faster with every year. My 6 yr old granddaughter just finished kindergarten. It really has zoomed by. You will do great. You have a great source of advice sitting right beside you.
Tipper, you are one hundred percent right! While the kids are little you think the days drag on and on, but in the blink of an eye they are in school, then they are graduating, then they are grown, then they are married, then they have their own children. One day you'll look back on the tiny one the doctor placed in your arms, and you'll wish you had that time back again. I can still remember the times my boys were born, length, weight and everything just like it all happened yesterday. I even have locks of their hair from their very first haircuts. Sometimes I look through their baby books when I run up on that tote I keep them in. Often times I'll shed a tear recalling those days, and how those beautiful little angels have grown into fine, wonderful men.
It’s amazing to think that by this time next year, yours and Katie’s boy will be crawling around and getting into everything. Matt and tipper will be running like crazy after them and enjoying every second. ❤
In this age of UA-cam and social media, my advice would be not to watch too many videos and not to compare yourself or your child to other moms and children. You are blessed to have a wonderful mother and granny to give you all of the advice you’ll ever need. Enjoy every single moment with your little one. You’ll blink and they’ll be grown so enjoy each and every moment. Many blessings to your sweet family.
If I may share with you a few words I've come to know and learn from experience are those of everything you show, teach, exhibit and tell your children, help shape the people they become. You are their world. Their everything. Parents are the utmost important people to their children. Setting a good example is paramount. They depend on you for everything and I mean that in a good and positive way. Can you imagine? Being the most important, most trusted, most looked up to, most loved people to your children? You cannot climb any higher on the ladder of success. No job will be more rewarding, more loving, more heartfelt or more heart breaking than that of being a parent. It is more important than any other job. Ever. Yet it pays the least. Remember to always be consistent. Always be loving and present. Always listen. Take time. Be attentive. Never allow your children to go to bed mad. You can never get time back or replaced. Give as much praise as you would discipline. Nothing is more important as family. Buckle up. This will be the best most fantastic ride of your life. ❤ There is no greater love than that of a parent to their children. ❤
Corie, this is beautiful advice & encouragement from your mother. What a blessing to have her so close to you to guide you & Katie through these early days with your babies. My advice is to latch on to all your mom has to offer and you can't go wrong in raising your precious, priceless little gift from God. Hugs!
Those babies/boys are gonna be some of the most well-raised, well-loved, best boys ever. All those excellent influences around them--they are blessed beyond measure !! 🙌🏼 💞
I just lost my mom yesterday and I can’t imagine not having her in my life to guide me as she did. My heart is broken over her loss. My heart is happy for you to have your Momma and for your momma to have her momma. Appreciate one another and love each other dearly.
Advice I learned while having babies, don’t be quiet when your babies are sleeping. Go ahead and vacuum or do dishes. Watch tv. Etc. because if you keep the house so quiet your child will be a light sleeper and will wake to any noise. My first child had difficulty staying asleep. The rest of the other three I put them to nap in the living room sometimes so the sound of the tv was on and the other kids were playing etc.
Years ago, when I had my first baby, I got the baby book by Dr. Spock. I knew nothing about nothing. I’d read that book, especially the part about sick babies. Oh Lord. I was calling her ob doctor every other day swearing my baby had some disease. He finally told me to put that book away and enjoy my baby. 😂 Best advice I ever got.
My first granddaughter was a colicky baby and I would hold her up on my shoulder by the dinning room window and something about that window mesmerized her and she would calm down and go to sleep and give her mama a little rest. Corie when you hold that baby you will experience a feeling of love that you have never known. You look like it will not be too long you look like your baby has dropped. Can’t wait!!
Not always easy, but try to relax & enjoy every minute. Everything else can wait. They only need you this much when they're small & this time flies. And remember, right from the start, you have as much to learn from him as he does from you. It's like nothing you could ever imagine. ❤
My first son James, had Colic often. We found out I had lots of milk but it just wasn't rich enough. He wasn't getting satisfied. My mother came over and said "this will help." She took him and wrapped him tight in a small blanket like a baby burrito. Just his little face peaking out. She'd give him just a bit of formula and hold him close against her chest. He burped and laid there. No crying! I tried it after she left. It worked! Not sure it works for everyone, but I was glad she showed me. Saved us all some sleepless hours. You will be fine Hun, you have a huge support group surrounding you, And God holding is you and that baby under His wings.
It Takes A Village To Raise A Baby. Always Keep Him In Church, Keep Family, Friends Close. Keep God First In Everything.... Dedicate Him Back To God....
I can tell that you are going to be a great Mom, and Austin a great Dad 🙂 As always, I am so very happy for you, and all of your family getting to have the two new little members. God bless all of you 🙏
The best advice I was given was “pray for your children”… pray before they are born, pray for their future friends, pray for their future mates, pray for their future health, pray for their future in-laws, future education, and jobs. Pray for the present and future. Teach them about our Lord and Love them unconditionally… lead by example.. if they see that you love and trust the Lord, they will eventually follow your example. My child is 26 years old and I’ve been blessed with a wonderful daughter. Tipper has the same blessing with you and Katie..Just pray without ceasing. You have a lot of help in this area!🙏
Tipper, I just love your relationship with your family. you are so wholesome and down to earth, love your post. Thank you for sharing. Prayers to Granny, hope she gets her strength back soon.
Run the vacuum or the washing machine while they are sleeping from the beginning. Get them used to background noise where you won’t have to tiptoe around as they nap. That way a noise won’t startle them.
I've got two for you: one, don't forget private time with your husband, whether it's a walk or a card game or a dance in the kitchen and the second is don't sweat the small stuff.
My daughter had twins, boy and girl. She had friends that rotated clothes from one child to the next. Like a chain. Things were added by each and some taken away. There were 6 or 7 children in the rotation. Plus she had a boy rotation and a girl rotation. It was amazing. Twice a year she would go through and pass along. I was amazed how she kept up with it. They have graduated high school now and are continuing their lives. So proud of them. Time flies!
So glad you had this sweet time with your mom, Corie. She’s a dear lady and has such wisdom. I’m praying for the coming arrival of baby boy! God bless you, friend!
Oh dear UA-cam family friends. The compassion and love we’ve had from you is truly a blessing. One of the fears is if you decide to stop. Producing and sharing. We will truly mourn. Thank you for sharing your stories and experiences throughout this wonderful journey of your lives. Blessings to you all.
I'm sure that I said this at the time that Katie was still pregnant with Ira, but I have much respect for you (and Austin) not having an online baby shower or similar. So many vloggers and influencers do that, and it is just pure greed when they don't really need things. Your lovely family values are one of the reasons why I enjoy this channel (and your mum and dad's one as well of course).
Trust the Wisdom of your Momma and your God-given Intuition. You and Katie will love that the boys will grow up together and love each other like brothers, although sometimes they're ugly, as they grow into men that bond is forever. Happens in my family. ❤
Something I didn't know until my 2nd came along.. When he was really fussy, I layed him against my chest with his ear close to my heart. Then, I placed my hand over his other ear. He wasn't hearing outside noises so much as hearing my heartbeat, and that was a familiar and comforting sound. It really helped.
What your mama said, is exactly what I would say! I'm a grandma now and I enjoy all the crazy moments! My grand babies have all spent nights, part of summers or just hours over here. I THOUGHT I had no patience with my girls when they were little. I wish someone had told me to slow down and enjoy more. I was worried about work too much. Time is so precious! Time is so fleeting. I want the time back that I spent on making money. I want to go back and enjoy my own babies the way I do my grand babies. Oh and don't forget to share your baby with his grandma and grandpa! Some new parents don't like to share. Lol. My daughters have all enjoyed their babies and children making tons of memories with us! They're all here once a week overnight.... sometimes more if we're needed! I'm a blessed grandma that the parents trust me so much! ❤
You both are precious! I love to see you sharing. I love Corrie’s attitude towards learning and deciding to specially learn from meaningful people in her life. I know you will follow in your mamas footsteps. My advise: 1. Continue sharing your love to God so baby will learn to love God too. 2. Rest when you need to. No guilt. Rest will help you be a better mom. Praying for you in Costa Rica. 💙🙏🇨🇷
My babies are now 18 and 16. My advice from one mamma to another: Above all, listen to your instincts. Look after yourself so that you have the energy to look after your baby. SLEEP, whenever possible in the early days, just sleep. And delegate! Every stage is different and has its own particular challenges, and they will seem overwhelming. As long as you love your child and parent the child you have and not the child you expected to have, you are doing GREAT. Did I mention sleep? More sleep. Have easy snacks available, bcs you wont have the opportunity to finish a meal for quite a while. Bottle or breast doesnt matter. Sleep.
What an absolutely beautiful mother-daughter sharing. Tipper, Corie, you have blessed us all. May the history books of Appalachia show you our gratitude.
Cory, you are already the best momma! During the first few weeks or month, understand that your emotions will collide at times. Sometimes you'll feel settled and ok, and then insecurity about many things can pop up. As your mom said, know that this too shall pass and it's just hormones trying to get resettled. You're doing great and I'm proud of you!
Ok Corie here's my practical advice for labor: The breathing techniques really helped me control the pain of contractions. And here is a thought for us as we raise our kids: Remember that they/we are souls with bodies, not bodies with souls. I read that from a pastor and it is really something to think about.
It’s so pleasant to watch someone going through a season that happened years and years before for me. I can so clearly remember how I felt like a superwoman after having my first baby- like there was nothing I couldn’t do. Then, 27 years later I watched my first grandchild being born and that feeling of invincibility was back, though tempered by life experiences. I’m not expressing this very well- I’ll just say this…thank you for sharing your lives with your viewers and for bringing back so many memories.
Katie looks so content and ‘natural’ in her new role as a mama. The way she holds Ira, like she’s been holding hundreds of babies before him. I gather she’s already back doing some work too - that girl is a trooper.
My advice is to take pictures of as many moments of your baby as you can. And don’t leave them on your phone. Print them out. I am so excited for you. You will be a great mother! 💕
I’m so excited for you and Austin to welcome your beautiful new baby🎉🎉 My biggest advice…(We had 6 children and have 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren now! We’ve been mightily blessed.) What I’d say to you Corie is DON’T sweat the small stuff. I was so concerned about my home being perfectly clean and spotless, everything done…I missed precious time with my children. So treasure your time with your baby (s) everything will get done, I promise. Like your sweet Momma tells you, time goes by so quickly, enjoy it all!! ❤ I’m excited for you, it’s almost time sweetgirl! 🎉 Blessings to all of you!❤ Ps. I miss seeing Katie on, hopefully she’ll be on more soon. ~ from Deirdre in NE Oklahoma
So nice to hear that you asked your mom for advice, I know a lot of young ladies that have the attitude of ignoring all advice because they can google it all, sure makes mom feel special when your daughters ask for advice
My Great Grandmother told me this when I was just a teenager and it has stuck w/me all these years…. “A child will be what you tell them they are.” I think that is so true.
Oh, Corie, it's almost time for your little man to move into your arms. I'm praying for you as you experience this joy. I'm glad you had a little getaway with your mom for a minute. So much love and prayers for you all. Tipper, I know you are loving having those sweet boys joining the Pressley clan. Being a Grandma is great! God bless you all! ❤🙏 Jane (Matt is seeing the odds shift in his favor with the addition of Austin and the boys😂. He's not the only male anymore.)❤
We found ourselves on "The Dragon" by accident last year. We saw so many motor bikes and interesting vehicles, on that incredibly windey road, and people were taking their pictures. I had to look it up to see where we were, and what was going on. I love that area. How nice that you two had some quality mother/daughter time together.
Yes the years are short but the days can be long. Be gentle on yourself and remember you’re human, to feel tired burned out or even sad at times after the baby comes is totally normal & don’t feel guilty about that ❤
Corrie, you will be fine being a Mom. So many things will come naturally and instinctively. Plus you will have a great Mom next door for any advice (She has double the experience )!
Be present with your babies always. It will soon be you sitting on the porch with your child talking about your grandchildren. It goes by so slowly and so fast at the same time.
Beautiful PORCH, and love those rocking chairs. Nice option CORIE for house color, love the cool brown…….IMHO (not that you asked 😊. Also every baby is different, never compare😊. The kids feel it, they really do
CORIE , NATURE AND God will see you thru your delivery no matter what any advice any one can give ,you have your on time and thats what makes it so unique and awesome. Let God lead you thru delivery . You are going to be a wonderful mother to your little one. I wish you the best delivery when time comes😊😊
You talking about babies being born, I just had to share that my 3rd granddaughter was born last night. Named Isabella and she is healthy and beautiful . I feel so blessed and full joy . A feeling I'm sure you can understand tipper. Isn't it wonderful ❤
You are blessed. My first was taken away to a foster Hume. I was put away during my pregnancy I was 18 almost 19,, I was traumatize. So I remember nothing . I got to visit him for 11 1/2 months. Then never to see him again. He is 45 now. But later on . I met someone married and had 2 blessings daughter then son 5 yrs after her..Know that. Having ppl in your family is a big blessing. I didn't have support like you I had some but I have the Holy Spirit My Jesus. I can do all things in Christ. I lost my my son almost 8 yrs ago he was 29..I'm sharing this only to tell you. That no matter what. The Christ in you the hope of ALL glory will shine in you.
Must have been so difficult for you:(…..thankfully you were able to move forward and have a lovely family😊…….Side note….it is possible to do a DNA test/kit……. and within the company website, you can see who your “dna matches” are….. it’s possible to locate your first child…(if your first child has registered his dna….) and is interested in learning more about his dna history. Just a thought……
@fluffyotter1601 3 years ago, my cousin was online. And found this guy who was looking for his bio family. He found me like my brother and father. But we texted. Long enough for him to get some answers. But he hasn't communicated with me. I do txt him on his birthday and holidays. He responds with you, too. So, I guess I could say God answered my prayer.
My advice ☺️ At the end of Your tired days try to remember the things you’ve accomplished in that day not the ones you didn’t get to do… Also the days are long but the years are short enjoy every stage and season. Love y’all
Being a mother is the most blessed experience! And natural, motherly instincts will kick in too. I was a worry wort, wanting to be perfect, but soon (well, by the fifth child, lol) I learned that some days aren't going to be "perfect" no matter what you do, and it was okay if that load of laundry still needed folding, and the floor would get mopped. You are on a wonderful journey of love and joy!
I had two very long difficult labors, but one look into their beautiful blue eyes and I fell hopelessly and forever in love! I would have, even in those moments, gone back through the entire ordeals again just to have them. And now, watching one be an amazing dad to my three grandbabies (7yo girl, and 3yo boy/girl twins) and the other being a fantastic uncle, I couldn’t be more proud!! Time has honestly flown by… The saying “the days are long, but the years are short” is so, so true. I’m so excited for you all!!!Drink in the blessings of every moment! 🌹
My sons are 24 21 & 20 My advice is to soak up EVERY moment because they grow up so fast...... Do household chores when they are asleep. Time sure does fly by. I miss cleaning up handprints and hearing "momma" every 5 minutes Now I have to call them to remind them to remind them to drive safe, pay a bill or answer a question My nest has been empty for a year. Sometimes the silence is deafening..
My grand son started walking today/I told my son/now you got your hands full/lol! I miss seeing Katie!I sewed my babies gowns made them stuffed animals made their booties and patchwork quilts/handstitched baby mobil of frogs and Lilly pads from scraps of cotton dutch velvet!
Hi beautiful ladies Beautiful Friday long memorial weekend. Beautiful sitting on my patio looking at my garden. Perfect weather 80 degrees northern az today.
The best advice I got for Labor, which really worked for me, and wish I had done it my with my first, is close your eyes when a contraction comes and take your mind to some place familiar. I'd take my mine to my grandmother's house and other places familiar to me and before I knew it the Contraction was over.
Corie so sweet to see all the family love. I wish my family could have been like that but when motives are to live life for things and to be critical of others relationships sour even when those believe Jesus is Lord. I never really got good advice from my mom. She had her favorites and I was not it. I was head strong but not bad just opinionated. My sisters perhaps were more like minded and closer than me. She preferred them so when I see you and Katie with your mama it blesses me. I try to be a good example to my daughters and give good advice. Mine is enjoy it all because it all passes so fast and before you know it you will be a grandma too giving your children advice and your wisdom. God bless you all! ❤🙏🥰
If I could go back to my early years first married and then with my twins, I would say buy half of what I did! More doesn’t bring more happiness. More stuff just gets in the way and causes more work. I also feel that children of the 70s (which I was) and generations before were happier and healthier, because they really valued the fewer things they had. People and kids today have way too much now, and it causes spoiled, entitled people.
We drove the Dragons Tail in our vehicle some years ago while vacationing there. Those cycle drivers would be leaning their cycles so much on a curve that their helmets were in our driving lane. Had to vier right to give them room. Scary!
I truly wish I had kept a journal the first yr for each of our children , it goes by so fast and you almost miss the precious moments as they grow , 1st smile , 1st bath , 1st tim3 changed by daddy , 1st outing, walk , grandparents watching for 1st time while you and Austin take a br3ath together ❤️ such joyful moments that are a blur , 🥰🥰🥰🥰🙏🙏🙏
Relish all of this, Corie and Katie, too. They grow so very fast. One minute you've got this beautiful armful of love, and the next minute, they are grown. Hugs 🤗 and God's blessings 🙌
My two pieces of advice would be to remember that no matter what is going on with your children, it is just a stage and it will not always be that way. The other thing is to remember that the days are long, but the years are short.❤👵🏻
I agree with that!
That's exactly what I was coming to say..."The days are long but the years are short"...truer words have never been spoken ❤
Exactly. At the time it seems what ever is going on will never end when really a day or week is nothing compared to years which turns in to decades and I say that because now my two boys are not boys any longer they are grown men at 22 years and 25 years. And now I sit back and say wow where did the time go?? All the while smiling at who they are now!
Sage Advice!
Well said
Don’t let anyone tell you that you’ll spoil your baby if you hold them too much, it’s not true and holding them is what you’ll miss the most so Hold your baby as much as you can ❤
I had a nurse tell me my 2 day old baby was spoiled because he cried when I was in the shower. He was inthe nursery, he was hungry etc. Thank goodness he was my second baby so I let her have her ideas and I had mine.
1000%!
Give those babies good memories because in the end that's all we have.
Cherish these last few weeks alone with Austin. It will never be just the two of you again.
And bless them like they did in the Bible.
The most important thing with children and this simple advice came from my father-in-law is “just love them”
Raise him how you were raised and everything will be just fine!❤
Best advice I ever received was don't make it a quiet environment for baby to sleep. Baby will learn to sleep through everyday noises. If everything is always quiet every little noise will wake them. So play music, watch TV, talk or whatever you normally do. You and Katie will be great moms.
Every baby is different, just like every adult. Some people are just light sleepers.
My mother ran the vacuum when I was a newborn😂 She said it worked.
My Momma Used To Say When Your Little You Step On My Feet 🐾 And When Your Grown You Step On My Heart ❤️ A Mother Worries About Her Baby Even When There Grown.....
How true that is ❤
Yes,this is so true.@@vatriscrittenden785
Absolutely, the truth especially boys. 😢
I agree, and probably even more so, when they're grown. Mine are 47 and almost 44. I try hard not to worry about them, but a Mama always has her babies on her mind.
Corie, you're going to do just fine, darlin' !! I see in you the best mother in world in the making !! 😊
I totally agree. ❤
❤️🙏
❤️
Corey looks so cute . She seems to just light up while talking about the baby
. Prayers for easy labor and delivery..God bless🌹🙏❤️
It’s amazing to think that by this time next year, yours and Katie’s boy will be crawling around and getting into everything. Matt and tipper will be running like crazy after them and enjoying every second. ❤
Being real grandparents 😅😅
No better advice than what you get from your Mother. God bless y'all.
🙏❤🙏❤🙏❤🙏❤🙏❤
In this age of UA-cam and social media, my advice would be not to watch too many videos and not to compare yourself or your child to other moms and children. You are blessed to have a wonderful mother and granny to give you all of the advice you’ll ever need. Enjoy every single moment with your little one. You’ll blink and they’ll be grown so enjoy each and every moment. Many blessings to your sweet family.
Cherish every moment. They are grown before you know it.
My momma always said "The days are long, but the years are short"....I've found that to be so true
That is so true. My granddaughter just graduated high school. Seems like she was just born the other day. Enjoy while you can
If I may share with you a few words I've come to know and learn from experience are those of everything you show, teach, exhibit and tell your children, help shape the people they become. ❤
❤️
Corie, this is beautiful advice & encouragement from your mother. What a blessing to have her so close to you to guide you & Katie through these early days with your babies. My advice is to latch on to all your mom has to offer and you can't go wrong in raising your precious, priceless little gift from God. Hugs!
Someone told me right before I became a mother that it was “the hardest job I will ever love”. And that has been so true for me.
Those babies/boys are gonna be some of the most well-raised, well-loved, best boys ever. All those excellent influences around them--they are blessed beyond measure !! 🙌🏼 💞
Thank you 🙏
I just lost my mom yesterday and I can’t imagine not having her in my life to guide me as she did. My heart is broken over her loss.
My heart is happy for you to have your
Momma and for your momma to have her momma. Appreciate one another and love each other dearly.
So sorry for your loss. May God fill you with peace, strength and happy memories.
So sorry for your loss 🙏. Praying that the Lord will be with you and I know He will. ❤
Bless you friend I’m so sorry for you loss and will be praying for you ❤️
Your baby is one of a kind no one has raised a baby like yours
Best advice I ever got.
I miss Katie so much. My heart goes out to her
My first granddaughter was a colicky baby and I would hold her up on my shoulder by the dinning room window and something about that window mesmerized her and she would calm down and go to sleep and give her mama a little rest.
Thank you ❤️
It Takes A Village To Raise A Baby. Always Keep Him In Church, Keep Family, Friends Close. Keep God First In Everything.... Dedicate Him Back To God....
It takes a family, not a village. A village is short for the government to step in.
I can tell that you are going to be a great Mom, and Austin a great Dad 🙂
As always, I am so very happy for you, and all of your family getting to have the two new little members.
God bless all of you 🙏
Thank you so much friend 😁
Sometimes you have to know that the days are long, but years are so short!!
You do look like you've dropped , the baby's dropped .....You'll do great , you'll be a good Mama, Corie ..... Baby's Are A Blessing From God 💙👣
Cherish every minute. It goes by so fast. Don’t wish your baby’s life away. You are going to be beautiful, loving Mama.
They are already use to all the notices. So don't change any of that
I've got two for you: one, don't forget private time with your husband, whether it's a walk or a card game or a dance in the kitchen and the second is don't sweat the small stuff.
You come from such a loving family, I think that the best parenting advice for you would be to raise your kids the way you were raised.
❤️
❤️
These are precious moments in time. Just rockin on the porch with your Ma
You both are precious! I love to see you sharing. I love Corrie’s attitude towards learning and deciding to specially learn from meaningful people in her life. I know you will follow in your mamas footsteps.
My advise:
1. Continue sharing your love to God so baby will learn to love God too.
2. Rest when you need to. No guilt. Rest will help you be a better mom.
Praying for you in Costa Rica. 💙🙏🇨🇷
Thank you friend 😁
My babies are now 18 and 16. My advice from one mamma to another:
Above all, listen to your instincts.
❤️
I miss Katie❤ let her know she’s prayed for and We love her & Ira!~kathy
Katie looks so content and ‘natural’ in her new role as a mama. The way she holds Ira, like she’s been holding hundreds of babies before him. I gather she’s already back doing some work too - that girl is a trooper.
My advice is to take pictures of as many moments of your baby as you can. And don’t leave them on your phone. Print them out. I am so excited for you. You will be a great mother! 💕
My mother told me, “your first child grows up in spite of you.” Everything you encounter is new with the first. It’s a grand adventure.
I’m so excited for you and Austin to welcome your beautiful new baby🎉🎉
My biggest advice…(We had 6 children and have 17 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren now! We’ve been mightily blessed.)
What I’d say to you Corie is DON’T sweat the small stuff. I was so concerned about my home being perfectly clean and spotless, everything done…I missed precious time with my children. So treasure your time with your baby (s) everything will get done, I promise.
Like your sweet Momma tells you, time goes by so quickly, enjoy it all!! ❤
I’m excited for you, it’s almost time sweetgirl! 🎉
Blessings to all of you!❤
Ps.
I love that ❤️
Your Mom's right. It will go fast so enjoy every moment. Best thing you could ever do; nothing will come close to being a Mom. God bless you.
Bless you on your very soon delivery. Prayers sent for a great delivery and very healthy baby and mama!
Thank you 🙏
Oh, Corie, it's almost time for your little man to move into your arms.
The video quality is amazing! I could listen to you both, and Katie, all day. I love your Godly wisdom. ❤❤❤
You talking about babies being born, I just had to share that my 3rd granddaughter was born last night. Named Isabella and she is healthy and beautiful . I feel so blessed and full joy . A feeling I'm sure you can understand tipper. Isn't it wonderful ❤
That's wonderful!
I'm so sorry you went through this heartache, I can not imagine. I'm glad you have other children. God Bless you.
❤️
@fluffyotter1601 3 years ago, my cousin was online. And found this guy who was looking for his bio family. He found me like my brother and father. But we texted. Long enough for him to get some answers. But he hasn't communicated with me. I do txt him on his birthday and holidays. He responds with you, too. So, I guess I could say God answered my prayer.
He looks like one of my brothers and father. And me alittle. Maybe one day he'll want to meet me.
Corie, you are absolutely glowing today. Lovely.
My advice ☺️
At the end of Your tired days try to remember the things you’ve accomplished in that day not the ones you didn’t get to do…
Also the days are long but the years are short enjoy every stage and season.
Love y’all
Being a mother is the most blessed experience!
I miss cleaning up handprints and hearing "momma" every 5 minutes
Now I have to call them to remind them to remind them to drive safe, pay a bill or answer a question My nest has been empty for a year. Sometimes the silence is deafening..
Twins are the greatest blessing from God.❤❤
My grand son started walking today/I told my son/now you got your hands full/lol! I miss seeing Katie!I sewed my babies gowns made them stuffed animals made their booties and patchwork quilts/handstitched baby mobil of frogs and Lilly pads from scraps of cotton dutch velvet!
Be consistent, and follow through. Those things build trust. Pray always. 💙
Hi beautiful ladies
Beautiful Friday long memorial weekend.
Love and blessings to you both. Love and hugs to Katie and Ira. Praying for a speedy delivery for you Corie.
Several years ago my husband and I with friends came that way and rode the dragon. It was pretty scenery. I understand why y’all love it so much.
❤️
If I could go back to my early years first married and then with my twins, I would say buy half of what I did! More doesn’t bring more happiness. More stuff just gets in the way and causes more work. I also feel that children of the 70s (which I was) and generations before were happier and healthier, because they really valued the fewer things they had. People and kids today have way too much now, and it causes spoiled, entitled people.
So true 🙏
Take a deep breath together
Relish all of this, Corie and Katie, too. They grow so very fast. One minute you've got this beautiful armful of love, and the next minute, they are grown.
Hugs 🤗 and God's blessings 🙌
