PVP is entirely optional as you need to out yourself in a situation PVP can happen and if you do that, you need to be prepared for it or expect it. It's fairly easy to avoid if you're smart. Been playing 16 years and I'm a carebear so don't typically get into PVP but have opened myself up to it to try it out once or twice. Lost a Hookbill which was sad

@Renfail I know I will. Especially since it's a game that really doesn't make you feel like a second job. Plus, the learning curve gives the player a sense of learning something. I know that after a week or two, I'm going to be looking for videos on lore content
I just logged into evonline after being away for over a decade I started my character in 2008 and I am completely lost all of a sudden. I have billions in ISK almost 62 million in skill points. If anybody wants to give me advice or point me towards more videos that would help me get refreshed it would be certainly helpful. Feeling a little bit overwhelmed all of a sudden. But really want to get back into this.
Yeah you'll probably be best suited literally running some of the early tutorial missions to get back into what modern EVE Online is like, and then ease your way back in that way. When you feel comfortable you can switch back to your main.
The career agents take place in so called beginner systems, griefing newbies in these systems are a bannable offence. So as long as you hang out in the career agent systems, you should not see any pvp unless you initiate it yourself or some other dumb newbie decides to attack you to see what happens. When it comes to other systems in hisec, it really depends on being at the wrong place at the wrong time, the exception is bottleneck systems on the traderoutes between major hubs, pirate players hang out there to assault people, but it is usually those with something valuable to steal that is hit, not some newbie in his rookie ship. Though again there are people who grief for the lolz and you could be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Once you go into lowsec, nullsec and wormhole space, the chances for pvp skyrockets and you should expect to be attacked.

1. I think the question about whether is EVE pay to win is determined by how you feel about things like the WoW token enabling people to convert real money into in game regular currency. EVE predated the WoW token for years with its PLEX system allowing players to sell membership (now omega time) for in game currency to other players. 2. Character skills in EVE do provide slight modifiers improving their power level relative to others with the same equipment, but the biggest bonus of skills is their opportunity to use equipment other players cannot. Alpha players train faster and have access to more skills. However part of the trade off is, in addition to meeting the skill requirements, you also need to put more in game currency on the line with expensive gear manufactured by yourself or likely other players. Player Skill will probably win if an omega player and alpha (f2p) are in similar fits. But because an omega player both has faster training and access to skills and therefore modules and ships an alpha player is not eligible to use, they can do certain roles simply unavailable to alphas. I will note however that as stated in the video power level is not really symmetrical for a variety of reasons so even the above is a simplification. Bigger is not always better, like the smaller battle cruisers can be better tanks in PvE than some battleships, and frigates can chase down ships a nothing else that’s not 20x as expensive can trap in PvP.
Here is the ONE AND ONLY advise to all users who think about starting this game: STAY AWAY FROM IT!!! All those fukkaz here just want you to join so they can gank you in the opening regions, cause the game is dead!
This is 100% absolute BS as I've been playing for for more than two months as of this reply and not ONCE have I been ganked. I even just made a video on Where Are All The Gankers? ua-cam.com/video/qCwZdnMkSVA/v-deo.html

The game is broken. As once you get above a certain skill level. It doesn't matter if you trained the skills to fly\use something. You will have to pay for a subscription to use them.. Why I left. As I paid to train the skills needed. Only to be forced to continue to pay to use them..
@@Renfail It's not fake. I have damn near every Sub Cap skill in the game to Level 5.. But to use skills above a certain level. You have to pay for a subscription to use them. So don't feed me that line. As I been playing the game since 2007...It's one reason CCP went from 500k players to 50k..As they broke the game selling you everything for short term gain in revenue..It was their undoing.. It's the very same thing that Broke other European Countries games like WoT. That went from 1 Million players to 30k..As they have no idea about human behavior in Business. Why the go Woke, go broke will teach them a lesson.
@@lukienman No.. Paying to train skills to level 5. Then paying again to use them broke the game. Along with introducing Injectors.. It's why Goons left, Killer Bees, R&K and others. As CCP broke the game for short term revenues. It was their undoing.. I'm not including these people had 4-5 alts they paid for or the ones that sold and traded them on the market. That had focused skills for a particular need through the Eve Bazaar. The only way CCP gets back to 500,000+ players base. Is ditch their current business model. As the one they created didn't work. I would add. If they wanted to make people pay. They only had to ditch the Buying Plex's with in game currency. Problem solved. As that was their main issue. People got good at earning ISK to pay for Plex's. Which is why CCP kept driving the cost of Plexs up. As CCP was manipulating the amount of Plax's on the market. To combat 3rd party sits that sold goods for real Money for half the price. Had they done that one thing. They would have put these sites out of business over night. So again. They should have hired someone that understood how Business is run. At least read Thomas Sowell, Basic Economics.

I don't PVP, so other players have zero impact on my enjoyment of the game.
I am brand new to this game..if anyone wants to play with me rely me
Have fun
the user experience in eve? there isnt one
Only if you don't know how to play video games.
👍
indeed
game doesnt look 20 years old .

And what’s wrong with getting ganked? It’s part of the game. It’s the thrill of the risk. Get good or get off.
@@Renfailman I appreciate your videos and you being new too. I played Echoes and got to tech lvl 5 back 3 years ago so I’m a little familiar. Followed Capt Benzie for years too his stuff is on point. But I really want to go solo and just be a little space pirate to hit and run maybe grab some loot here and there. If you’ve got any advice on the best empire to join for missile solo I’d be appreciative.
And not everyone is here to get ganked. So that logic just doesn't flow here mate @@thegrayjedi5202
@@Renfail then go to one of the stations where new players do their first AIR agent missions and take a look how they get blown up every day directly at the station.
If you play this game for PVE you should pick something else. This game excels at PVP not PVE lol.
Best part about me, is I don't have to listen to you or your opinions that don't align with my reality :)
Idk I've been playing for 5 years and I do mainly PVE content (abyssals, hisec escalations, incursions) there seems to be plenty to do without PVP
@@aark11481 excellent 👌
The game has a lot of non-PVP content. There is plenty of room for different playing styles.

The game is broken. As once you get above a certain skill level. It doesn't matter if you trained the skills to fly\use something. You will have to pay for a subscription to use them..
Why I left. As I paid to train the skills needed. Only to be forced to continue to pay to use them..
Simply not true. Fake news.
@@WizzRacing paying for a game online is bad? Sounds more like you are broke and needy and expect free entertainment
@@lukienmanI would add. I bet I make 5x what your income is now. So lets not start protecting things on people. So you can make stupid post..
How can you make an "ULTIMATE" Beginners Guide, when in the first 2 minutes you state that you are new to the game. That's called click bait sir and I'm done with you for this transgression.
