    Thanks for the excellent review. Cooling can definitely be improved, voiding the warranty in the process of course. Memory can be upgraded, which is good. I wonder how they can make these mini pc's for less than the cost of the windows license itself.

      Hi there! Tyvm! Yep, for a few bucks you could toss in a 16gb ddr 4 3200 stick, a faster nvme drive, and performance would increase a bit. Add in Linux, and it will probably be even faster. We'll. I'm sure they cut every corner making this pc, lol. The Netac nvme is the slowest of the slow.. thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it :)

    Well, is not a gamming PC but I remember using 150Watts to get the same FPS in a Bulldozer FM2 APU ( Series 5xxx) ; so still impressive

      Hi there! Yeah, right!! This thing barely pulled over 10 watts, so if one considers that, then hey, it's not doing bad for its costs and power usage for sure!! Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it :)

    I played around with plex a little and thought about doing a server with something similar to this mini pc. I began trying to rip dvd's from my own collection, but I quickly found the software for that nowadays kinda sucks. I remember it being so much simpler back in windows XP to rip a dvd or even a music album. I think media player even let you rip music cd's. I'm working on getting an old socket A pc together. That could end up being a use for it, if I can't find any good software for my modern pc.

      Hi and welcome to the channel! Perhaps it's just the increased DRM on the Blu-rays and dvds? But you're right, some can't even be rip/converted. A socket 462 system might be a bit underpowered, Perhaps go the best of both worlds and get a socket 939 and an AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+? That system should have support for XP Pro drivers and the newer dual core CPU will give you extra power. Thanks for watching and commenting I appreciate it!

    6:42: Platform PL1 and PL2 that you need! PL means Power Limit. PL1 is a short term (few seconds) power limit. PL2 is the Long term limit that should keep without time limit. But of course that could throttle by thermals, If you do not switch off... :) So you can set PL1 and PL2 but be kind and check thermals. PL2 10000 is in milliwatts, so that equals 10W.
    That would be nice, If you can upload a raised power limit benchmarks and 3200MHz DDR4 memory. :)
    P.S.: Skyrim Try lower antialiasing and anistropic filtering. That could be bottleneck the GPU performance, because they are need much of video memory tasks. And an iGPU is not strong in video memory, because of using slow system memory. During playing with skyrim the whole system even do not reach the 10W power limit. Probably that is why.
    Probably you can get much better performance with 3200MHZ DDR4 and if you will set higher Power limit than 10W in the BIOS.

    The thing that is tripping me up is that, on Amazon this is, they sell ddr4 16G chips for $40 but any of the PCs that have 16G want over $100 increase for the same unit with 32G. Why can't I just buy the 16 and pop in another one? But the ones I find cannot expand the ram, only the hard drives??? Like eg. the Kamuri, it's $150 16G/500ssd, N95, but N95 in any other machine with 32G is $300 min..... I feel like I should be able to get 32G for $200 with an alder lake chip... Idk

      Hi there and welcome to the channel. Yeah, it seems to be a money grab or something. Apple does the same for their macs. Ram could cost 200 to 409 extra. It's ridiculous. Try looking at a Beelink mini pc. See if you can get a better deal? Plus, it's got a bit better cooling. I upgraded the ram in another video of this one, and it wasn't to hard to do. But like you mentioned, it's cheaper to buy it separately. Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it and gl funding your mini pc.

    Another great vid. Why would they include such a short power cable lol. We know it was not going to be its best in games. I mean you even said it's not a gaming PC, but comparing office benchmarks like PCMARK to the 13700k would have been very interesting since it has an m2 even though it's a bit slow. Might make for an interesting video 😉. Heck, at this point, for shits and giggles, a vid with PCMARK10 results comparing the 3770k, the 12700k, the Ryzen, and this N95 would be interesting to show that value per dollar! That M2 speed....hahaha. It's like PCIe 2.0 x1 speed. That makes me wonder... is it just a slow M2 ssd or is the M2 slot slow? If you are really curious like I am, I'd pop in an M2 ssd that you know is really fast and compare the Crystal speeds. Imagine your face seeing 3000MB/s out of this thing with a replacement M2. I couldn't even find the PCIe speeds of the M2 on Kamrui's site. Dude, SSDs are dirt cheap right now. Buy a spare $30 250GB M2 PCIe 4.0 x4, install windows, run Crystal, and see what happens. It's for SCIENCE! 🤣

      Hi! Spoiler alert... I popped a crucial 500gb 5000mbs nvme in it...for upcoming video.. And let's just say that the Netac m.2 drive it comes with is the cheapest of the cheap...... Good suggestions will see how much I can get around to incorporating into the video. The rams not even capable of 3200 sooo if I can find out how to replace it with 3200 and goto 16gb, well, there u go.. Linux may find a home on this box, too, haha... thanks again, and have a great day! Think Mac for the next video......

    Hola de nuevo , el rendimiento del ssd nvme debería ser mucho mas elevado, llegando la lectura/ escritura seq sobre los 830/ 840 MB/s y para 4KiB entre 730/740 MB/s .
    Con solo un consumo de 10w se ve perfecto para un uso en una oficina, como reproductor multimedia o para un estudiante.

      ¡Hola, José! Sí, puedo ver esto como una PC de nivel de entrada para algunas personas, tal vez también para la oficina. Tienes razón, NVME funciona muy lento... Es barato... Alerta de spoiler: estoy trabajando en un video de diferencias y cambié ese NVME Out y el benchmarker casi 1800 con el nuevo, así que Sí, el que viene con es basura :)

    Hey I have a mini PC whit Intel n95 when I stream whit obs a video is always laggy wy

    • @RememberThisTech
      @RememberThisTech  8 місяців тому

      Hi there. While I haven't streamed with mine, I have captured video from it. I always record on another pc. It could be your network going out to the web. it could be the setting within OBS, not sure. I know when I record, I always need to test the recording to make sure the capture settings are good and the sound comes through.

    • @RememberThisTech
      @RememberThisTech  8 місяців тому

      @filmexpress1029 that's probably because the 3300u is a slightly more powerful processor even though it's older. The n95 even though it's a quad core it's a low power component and depending on its cooling solution could thermal throttling more. Also my n95 mini pc only has single channel ram 1 stick. The 3300 should have dual channel. Perhaps even a fasted onboard amd graphics gpu

    The price is good and it's capable of most tasks and it's not power hungry.👍👍 It will probably perform better with a Linux OS., installed as Windows is very bloated, perhaps that could be a topic for another video, what's your opinion of Windows eleven?

    • @RememberThisTech
      @RememberThisTech  Рік тому +1

      Hey Laurence, Linux is definitely going to be tested on this little pc :) Stay tuned... I am still partial to win 10. Win 11 has a lot of things hidden that I look for, but it's not there. It's a new OS and has its own learning curve. I guess it's the future, so I better learn it :)
