Michael Easter i own the frm100 and the neck is like a baseball bat sawed in half, for someone that is 6'1 the neck is the greatest i have ever played, all my friends hate it.
Michael Easter . It is meaty but I could adjust, I have large hands , but not ET fingers , very comfortable, Seriously considered buying it . It is well done for the money.
Hey Michael! Did you ever end up trying one of these? There are two things that make me nervous: 1) made in China (how's the quality?), and 2) the neck size. It's bigger than any neck size I own, and my hands are a little on the smaller side. Other than those factors, it looks enticing... unfortunately, those are big factors LOL.
I'm not a fan of beefy necks myself. I really like the Ibanez Wizard necks like on my RG. I like to be able to get my whole hand around it and use my thumb to fret notes for certain chords, plus I ve been stricken with bad arthritis.
If anyone is thinking about buying one of these just a word of advice. I recently bought this model guitar and then shortly after managed to get a hold of the flame maple version he did for the ibanez anniversary. They quickly became my main gigging guitars as they both sound and play spectacularly. But... The issue I was getting with them was I was going through an unholy amount of high E strings. I'm talking like 5-6 in a month and I found that due to the tail piece and the way the strings sit in it. Any bending ( I am quite a heavy handed player) and the strings would just snap from around the ball-end. This happened on both guitars with D'addario and then Ernie Ball. Both brands I've never had issues snapping with. So to make a long winded story short I trawled the internet to see what Paul himself used and found he uses Ernie Ball RPS strings, which I didn't realise. One of my guitars has the paradigm strings on now (as a test, they're great by the way) and the other has these RPS strings on and since I have had no breakage at all. Just wanted to put this out there in case anyone is having this issue and is stuck.
The bridge and tail is the same as my dtx-120. I play tens and nines and bend like crazy. However When I change strings and before shows I stretch like crazy my strings to get them adjusted. I dont change strings often because fresh break faster and are not as warm. I work mine out before shows. Some people even boil them to loosen them up. I have no issues on this tail piece.
Emidio Jorge I own PGM and FRM guitars. Watch, when he says that, he misses his volume knob and grabs the tone by accident. He even laughs at himself a bit.
Paul and his personality not to mention the amazing player! Could sell me on a hello kitty guitar and make me think that it’s gonna make me a rockstar!!
That's an awesome signature guitar! I love that the volume knob is not right below the bridge. I have an Ibanez RG470 and an S7320 and the volume knob is right below the bridge. However, I love my Ibanez electrical guitars!
Does anyone know if Paul actually plays these "made in China" versions? I see plenty of video of him playing a white model that sure seems to be the same... but I'm wondering if he really plays a "made in Japan" version, custom built for him.
Played one in Store today. The Quality on this one is not as nice as on the Frm150... I still prefer my PGM but i really liked the PG-13. maybe i get a 100 or 150 and convert it to PG13 Pickups. Could be really Sweet
It's a "Slide" that its in place with help of a Rectangle Magnet :), you can see this video and see it yourself ua-cam.com/video/rMevX0WBiWI/v-deo.html
Paul is great but the guitar not so much .Many people having issues with this model.Dont forget Paul modifies his guitars and his pedals. So I guess if i buy one of these i should spend some time to make it good guitar for my hands .
Paul is quite a salesman, but he used the exact same overdriven tone to demonstrate "clean" and "heavy distortion"! He just played softer, but it was far from clean. But I guess no one is buying these for a clean tone.
I suspect the neck is too chunky for my taste but you gotta love Paul's vibe. He's a such positive, genuine guy.

ernie ball paradigm, won't ever let you down!

First guitarist I've found that actually plays theyre signiture and doesnt just talk about it
“And without looking I want the first thing that my hand comes to, to be the most important knob, which is the volume knob”
**grabs tone knob**
saw that too!
Most important knob is not the same in UK as it is in US ;)
awwww... leave him alone... he's sellin stuff....
He changes the position of the knobs on his guitar. He's actually grabbing the volume.
Emidio Jorge I own PGM and FRM guitars. Watch, when he says that, he misses his volume knob and grabs the tone by accident. He even laughs at himself a bit.
Well I have to tell you....I treated myself for my Birthday last year....and I love this Guitar!!...it ROCKS!!
This body , as a bass guitar, would look fantastic too
that neck pup sounds amazing on this recording
Paul and his personality not to mention the amazing player! Could sell me on a hello kitty guitar and make me think that it’s gonna make me a rockstar!!
dig the retro Ibanez logo
honestly that sounds alot like vintage les paul single humbucker. that setup on a modern guitar is just killer
Handed one already. The neck is thicker than RG models. Man! Paul Gilbert really shreds with that thickness
I like Paul's 'clean' sound @ 3:03 :)
Yeah, the exact same thing as his "dirty" sound.
The first person I have ever heard find the advantages of your guitar for the clothes you're wearing. :)
I like the 'Guitarist' tag at 0:10 IN CASE YOU DIDNT KNOW

Love the color on this one.
What I actually like best is the long headstock for the tuning controls are not too close to each other.
Paul is the best. Awesome player

I wish this guy was my guitar teacher
Paul McCartney My childhood friend has taken lessons from Paul personally.
He can be... He has an online class you can take direct instruction from the man himself
I want 1. This is very beautifull. Rare design
I want all his guitars.
Nothing beats the ICEMAN.
Played one in Store today. The Quality on this one is not as nice as on the Frm150... I still prefer my PGM but i really liked the PG-13. maybe i get a 100 or 150 and convert it to PG13 Pickups. Could be really Sweet
The thumbnail guitar has something extra on the pick guard?
It's a "Slide" that its in place with help of a Rectangle Magnet :), you can see this video and see it yourself ua-cam.com/video/rMevX0WBiWI/v-deo.html
that would be a pretty iceman rightside up
I want to trade my Frm150 for this one.. that white looks sharp!!
Sold!
Paul.. Idolllll
I wish they added the magnets for us, so we can slap on a chrome slide like Paul without hassle.
I love the shape, but i hate big chunky neck. Sounds good tho
I like the body and the neck but i hate the scale length it has.
Edi Ademi it scales like a lespaul right?
yep 24.75"
Looks like George Jetson's guitar from the future
It would pair well with the Musicman Albert Lee.
I wish ibanez would make a pgm jr
Just get an RG?
ahhhhh i want one
Will the Dimarzio pg13 sounds good in a warm toned les Paul that has a 300k pot in it?
If only we could get left handed models
do they make this guitar for left handed ?? i want this I'm left handed.
I barely notice, but it's clearer now. His 'S' spelling is rather.... different... 'ssshh' rather than 'sss' like most people.
aaaand now it doesn’t exist anymore.
0:00 I thought he was playing Psycho by System of a Down
Is this guitar comes in red??
Clean tone?
Show 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Paul is great but the guitar not so much .Many people having issues with this model.Dont forget Paul modifies his guitars and his pedals. So I guess if i buy one of these i should spend some time to make it good guitar for my hands .
Cool daddy o😮
Weight?

The clean bell like tones from these pickups is quite enjoyable actually, I love mine way more than I hoped for
Two similar ibanez for two paul's lol
Very nice. But, no, thanks.
I prefer a PGM.
*clean* lol
All this wood and knobs.and close upness ...Im not gay, maybe a bit strange, but i feel a bit turned on by this...lol
Am I the only one who thinks that guitar is really ugly?
Nah, theres bound to be others, but I love the style.
Nope, I’m not down with it either
No u
When I was a kid, rockstars used to make these things called "albums".
This was the days before they all became traveling salesman.
DaveDangerous74, you mean like this one
www.guitarworld.com/artists/paul-gilbert-announces-new-album-behold-electric-guitar
I am a big fan of Paul Gilbert. But, sorry if I offend him or anyone... This guitar is UGLY!
Don’t like the body style.....
It's an acquired taste
