Contrary to what he states in this video the machine makes a cup of coffee. The difference between an "Americana" and a cup of coffee is simply this: Americana= espresso shot + boiling water. Cup of Coffee= press the larger cup button allowing the water to continue through the capsule to reach a normal cup level. The Nespresso machines make either an espresso shot, a cup of coffee or an americana.

The ‘large-cup’ button on your Nespresso machine is for a Lungo, which is a longer shot requiring a special capsule, but people should never run 8 oz of water thru any capsule.

I purchased Hi Line capsules based on your recommendation. I didn't care for them at all. They lacked the full bodied flavor aroma and taste the orignal Nespresso capsules offer. And, they're not all that much cheaper - plus Nespresso does pay shipping as I always buy 200 or more capsules and receive overnight delivery at no charge.

The brewing process explained: Insert capsule into top of machine (only fits one way), pull arm forward ti pierce and set capsule in machine. Push espresso or lungo button once, wait 10-20 seconds, brewed. What detail were you expecting from an automatic machine?

If that is what you want to drink, then you would be better off with a $20 drip machine. The point of Nespresso machines is you get the best top 2% of coffee beans, not the bulk beans.

I used a new capsule today and the machine got blocked and the bundle wouldn't move. After a while, it was automatically turned off but I still can't move the bundle. Can anyone tell me what should I do, please?

There are many other capsules out there on the web that claim to fit these Nespresso machines. I would be very careful when buying capsules that aren't designed by Nespresso as if your machine is broken then your warranty will not cover it. For the sake of a few £'s I would just stick with the Nespresso capsules and keep your machine safe!

Read the instructions! You've set the duration too short, reset it to factory, it takes seconds.
