I also swear by Neem Oil, it smells horrible, so it's something I only use at night as a treatment. I soak a paper mask in the oil and put it on my face and leave only for 5 minutes. What helped my skin: low carb diet - no gluten (fyi I do not have a gluten sensitivy or allergy), no sugar, skinglo collagen (tried a bunch, none worked), probiotics, sunscreen, sleep, zinc, iron (I was slightly anemic), retinol, niacinamide (topically), cardio, probiotics, virgin cod liver oil, plasma pen treatment - by my esthetician.
@@cocosmith12 The probiotics I use are from Garden of Life: vaginal care. (I guess you meant probiotics and not prebiotics - though the formula contains some prebiotics too). Zinc - I take Solgar zinc picolinate 22 mg. Iron - Solgar gentle iron 20 mg. I took the iron because I did my bloodwork and my ferritin levels were not optimal, though I was not considered medically deficient. I took them at the beginning for 3 months, but now I take them from time to time, depending on how my skin looks. I have a very good idea to "read" what I my skin needs and when. Hope this helps.
But is it true that retinol around the eyes is not good and will damage the tears production of the eyes and will make the eyes dry? Heard from an ophthalmologist?
@@labyrinthe4830 retin -A I would not use around the eyes. There are some retinol brands that are safe, much more mild. Try a serum with moisturizer or organic oils that your eyes tolerate
I agree re: collagen. I've heard so many derms say it doesn't work, but I go by my experience and have found it very helpful. I started taking hydrolysed collagen after anaphylaxis from penicillin and it was really helpful in my recovery (with probiotics). I've been taking it for nearly 3 years now and my skin has certainly improved.
I just wanted to share something for other people with the same case as me, psoriasis (I have it on my face and scalp) Shower everyday (or every other day), head and shoulders clarifying shampoo (your choice of conditioner but I prefer head and shoulders deep moisture), and Eucerin skin calming cream (preferably either after a shower or before bed)

Can you do a video on retinol irritation? I've tried it and my skin would dry out, it got flaky and really red. Moisturing would cause pain :( then again, I've heard that's normal 🤦♀️
Hey, I've used retinol for 2+ years and based on my experience, start very minimally! Your skin shouldn't burn from moisturizer unless your skin is damaged/dry. Here's some things I do: 1. mix my retinol (pea size, or less) with moisturizer (generous amoint) 2. apply every other day/spaced out farther apart (depending on your skin's tolerance) Oh, and for reference I was able to use .025% retinol everyday but I can only handle .05% every other day. I hope this helps!

I've had an Rx for RetinA since it first came out like 35 years ago and to this day it still hurts my face and I can't use it. I've applied it after I washed my face 1 hour later. I've mixed with a little cream. You name it I've tried it to no avail. I've talked to my dermo and I just can't get used to it but I have friends who use it and love it. I finally read an article to put it on your face and wash it off and hour later! . I was excited i could actually do that. They said some on is better than none! 1. Take a collagen supplement ...Collagen makes up the building blocks of your skin. As we get older, the collagen of our skin gets thinner and degrades. So thin to the point like paper tissue, get taring and cause the loss of collagen. You can replenish the collagen in your body to help thicken the skin ...If you do take, you can technically impr. Some may disagree bc collagen will actually degrade your stomach but there are studies that shows that it do work 2. IF (intermittent fasting) ...When you put your body to a certain kind of stress, it helps your body to create stem cells and even change how long you live. Studies show that you can have stem cell production and they find improvements on aging/ rejuvenating your whole body/ longevity and even cancer treatment. ...Many ways to fast like water fasting to fasting american diet. Fasting is hard not to eat ...Fasting is essentially eating a smaller window of time that we normally would. The easiest way is to eat in a 8-hour-window during the day. Wake up, drink tea not putting anything in, no brf wait until noon to eat, eat from noon to about 8pm = eating window, starting 8pm don’t eat anything at the next day at noon …Can drink water. Easy way to create stem cells 3. Use a retinol cream ...Retinol helps exfoliate your skin, thicken the collagen of your skin, the dermis of the skin, reduce the pigmentation, helps release pre skin cancer ...Retinol moisturizers every night helps smooth the skin, reverse aging, should be the cobblestone of most anti skincare regimens 4. Meditate ..Stress- premature skin. Stress and lack of sleep can contribute to aging. Reduce stress and help slowthe process down ..all you have to do is for 10 min, take away your phone and set your stopwatch and close your eyes and just take a deep breath and focus on your breathing. Block everything and focus on breathing and do that in 10 min. ... 5. Dermaplane ..Use a special type of blade or other commercial devices to exfoliate your skin and get rid of that upper layer of fuzzy hair. Do it once a week or so.

It's done a great job at preventing lines on my face. I don't even have lines on my forehead. I've never had botox, I have full mobility of my face. I also swear by Neem Oil, it smells horrible, so it's something I only use at night as a treatment. I soak a paper mask in the oil and put it on my face and leave only for 5 minutes. I also swear by the Chizu Saeki method. Sunscreen is my BEST FRIEND... I apply it daily. I'm also Vegan. :)
@Anthony Youn, MD I'd love to ask you a question please. I am 36 years with Lupus & have snow white skin. Is there any skin care regime or anti-aging tips for women/men specifically with Lupus? This a new diagnosis for me. I would love your opinion! Thank you for your valuable time!
Love IF. I do between 15-23 hours every day.
Tonight it is the first time I watch Dr youn.
He is amazing .
Thank you so much for sharing your expert knowledge and giving us advice and educating- kind and generous 😚
I love your product Dr. Youn very well made and great!💕💕💕
Recommendations for vegan retinol and collagen
sandorn öl in german.
Would you share the probiotic u take?zinc and iron. Thanks
@@snowlioness27 thanks🥰 will give it a try
Please talk about eye wrinkles!!! Help please 😩😳😑
I've covered it! Check my page :)
In his product line there is a retinol eye cream. You should look into its description with the ingredients.
Christie Robinson thank you !!! 😊♥️
1. Collagen supplement
2. Intermittent fasting
3. Retinol cream
4. Meditation
5. Dermaplane (?)
Remove the hair in face
I just wanted to share something for other people with the same case as me, psoriasis (I have it on my face and scalp)
Shower everyday (or every other day), head and shoulders clarifying shampoo (your choice of conditioner but I prefer head and shoulders deep moisture), and Eucerin skin calming cream (preferably either after a shower or before bed)
hi doctor...please make a video on how to control KP (keratosis pilaris) 🙏
It is an inflammatory response caused by diet. Eliminate processed foods, with grains being the worst culprit. You will begin to see results in 1 month and be rid of it in 3. Alpha Skin Care glycolic 12% body lotion 3x per week and SPF everyday.
@@EastOrlandoFlorida awesome! thank you so much ♥️
Wow, thank you so much!!! That's better info than my dermatologist gave me!!!
Hi doctor, you always talk about the importance of using retinol and vitamin c. I want to Know if hialuronic ácid is algo neccesary ,thanks
Hi Dr. Youn! I’m 20yrs old, would these work for people my age? Also, I’d appreciate it if you make a video for younger people on how to establish good skin care habits. Thank you so much!
I'm not Dr. Youn but I am 21 and these tips definitely work! I've personally used retinol and I think I look younger than I was in highschool haha. I've also tried collagen and it helped with my hair and nails. Not sure if it really helped my skin though.
Also, never forget sunscreen!
@@luseeyalaters Hi Lucia, thank you so much. I’ve never really tried retinol but what brand do you recommend? Also for collagen, did it break you out as a side effect at first? And is a drug store sunscreen enough?
@@netclips4k Ahh. My isotrentinoin (retin-a) is prescribed by my doctor. You can find retinol infused products at the drugstore or at sephora. Sorry I can't recommend an exact product :(.
As for sunscreen, yes drugstore sunscreens are 100% as effective as the name brand ones. Just make sure it is at least SPF 30/40 and above. I also prefer physical sunscreens over chemical ones, but that is just a preference. I love all things skincare/makeup!
If you ever want to talk more about skincare, feel free to DM on IG @luseeyalaters
@@netclips4k oh, and collagen didn't break me out, but my sister did experience it. I think it varies per person.
Am watching from nigeria, how do I get the product,(collagen, retinol)
I am very impressed with your products. Will you recommend a plastic surgeon.
I live in Austin,TX
I have broken my nose twice !
I am ready to do something about it.
What about micro needling? You recommended that in a different video. I make bone broth to drink daily. Is that good for a collagen supplement?
Dr Anthony, what do you do that your skin looks so perfect? Greetings from Poland :)
My mom and I both have and HATE our 11 lines.
We've had them since childhood. In the past few years I've gotten very heavily into skincare and I've noticed that I dont see my 11 lines almost, at all anymore. My skin loves retinol and I use several different products with it. {Not all at once, of course, I rotate them in my skincare regimen}
I'm interested to buy some of your products but your not shipping here in Canada?how can I buy some of your products?
Microneedlng helped reduce my stretch marks quite a bit
Please doctor , do a video about KP, (keratosis pilaris)
Yaaaassss. I feel like acne and my kp are related issues?!
Cerave SA (salicylic acid) lotion or cream. My arms and legs were smooth after a few weeks of daily use
Thank you Dr. Youn. I have big pores so, I will order your products and follow your system. I just watched Dr. Josh Axe as well.
Sunscreen is a vital component of anti-aging skin care. Skin lightening and brightening products are of limited benefit if you don’t use SPF every day. SPF is not just for the beach!
No botoxfor me Dr can you suggest sometime else?
Can you do a video about best anti-aging products for eyes wrinkles
Tretinoin. I use it under my eyes. It's transformed my skin!
@Sqrley L. You can buy it online but you have to know how to use it. You can also get a prescription from a dermatologist, who will tell you how to start using the medication.
I’m a Rodan + Fields Skincare Consultant & we have 2 wonderful eye creams! Redefine for fine lines & wrinkles, & Bright Eye Complex for dark circles, puffiness & dehydration. I’d love to help you! #1skincarebrand
I found out about IF last year, but for me worked better having breakfast and lunch but skip dinner, lost couple pounds, I feel better and my skin definitely looks better.
You are so pleasant and seem to care and want to help us look and feel better. Enjoy your videos!!
Here's some things I do:
1. mix my retinol (pea size, or less) with moisturizer (generous amoint)
2. apply every other day/spaced out farther apart (depending on your skin's tolerance)
Oh, and for reference I was able to use .025% retinol everyday but I can only handle .05% every other day.
I hope this helps!
I actually have the exact same issue and was wondering what to do about it... Hope to see more people with advice on how to use retinol properly ...
@@myn_minyu did my comment help you? if not feel free to DM me on here or IG @luseeyalaters
I love talking about skincare and would love to help you troubleshoot your retinol issues
You should visit dermatologist for a whole skincare routine products that suits your skin type that way you will save money not buying the wrong product because there are tons of brands out there. I have sensitive skin and my derm prescribed me with the right retinol and correct cleanser-moisturizer-sunscreen to go with the retinol so I never had any irritation
When I tried to increase the time it was back to hurting and irritation. So I just have sensitive skin!

Dr Youn can retinol improve rosacea? What is the best collagen, marine or animal collagen? Thanks 😊
As someone who wants better skin but struggled with eating disorders in the past, I think I'll avoid intermittent fasting 😅 The other tips though are awesome!

There is marine collagen... and I'm sure you are lovely....
Yes
Thank you for all your helpful information. Great to know all these things.
Dr Youn, am 28 years is it okay for me to start using vitamin c serum?
I can´t do intermittent fasting cause of my thyroid disturb, but the other things are nice tips I can use :)
When I began oil pulling with coconut oil I noticed an improvement in the creases around the mouth/cheek area. They softened, smoother and appear lighter. Who knew swishing oil around the mouth would improve the outer layer of skin.
I wonder why. Could it be because you exercised those muscles and they tightened up? Interesting
1. Take a collagen supplement
...Collagen makes up the building blocks of your skin. As we get older, the collagen of our skin gets thinner and degrades. So thin to the point like paper tissue, get taring and cause the loss of collagen. You can replenish the collagen in your body to help thicken the skin
...If you do take, you can technically impr. Some may disagree bc collagen will actually degrade your stomach but there are studies that shows that it do work
2. IF (intermittent fasting)
...When you put your body to a certain kind of stress, it helps your body to create stem cells and even change how long you live. Studies show that you can have stem cell production and they find improvements on aging/ rejuvenating your whole body/ longevity and even cancer treatment.
...Many ways to fast like water fasting to fasting american diet. Fasting is hard not to eat
...Fasting is essentially eating a smaller window of time that we normally would. The easiest way is to eat in a 8-hour-window during the day. Wake up, drink tea not putting anything in, no brf wait until noon to eat, eat from noon to about 8pm = eating window, starting 8pm don’t eat anything at the next day at noon
…Can drink water. Easy way to create stem cells
3. Use a retinol cream
...Retinol helps exfoliate your skin, thicken the collagen of your skin, the dermis of the skin, reduce the pigmentation, helps release pre skin cancer
...Retinol moisturizers every night helps smooth the skin, reverse aging, should be the cobblestone of most anti skincare regimens
4. Meditate
..Stress- premature skin. Stress and lack of sleep can contribute to aging. Reduce stress and help slowthe process down
..all you have to do is for 10 min, take away your phone and set your stopwatch and close your eyes and just take a deep breath and focus on your breathing. Block everything and focus on breathing and do that in 10 min.
...
5. Dermaplane
..Use a special type of blade or other commercial devices to exfoliate your skin and get rid of that upper layer of fuzzy hair. Do it once a week or so.
