Awesome editing and filming mate, all that and no lockers is awesome. I guess the lift and tyre changes are the way to go. I have a 2016 MQ, my 3rd triton. I am in the process of upgrading at the moment.
This is a great advertisement for Mitsubishi's traction control. So far the TC on my MR has certainly made me smile. You lift wheels, the vehicle stops, you keep your foot down and hey presto, the Triton works it out most of the time!
@ thanks for reply ! , I am in market of split between hilux or a 2017+ mq triton so split and o think it looks so good with any bullbar Great value for money by sounds of it
I've heard that the traction control in these aren't that good but from this video it works pretty well! What do you reckon? I guess those who said the traction control wasn't good just didn't know how to drive
@@jasereynolds_ those guys who criticize the tc always back off of the throttle to early. Literally as soon as a wheel lifts and they lose forward momentum they back off which is stupid because you need to give the computers time to process. And it's both owners and car 'experts' that criticize the tc. Kudos to you man, you really know how to wheel your girl.
Hey Jase, i'm curious about one thing. What if you fit a Harrop eLocker on the rear? Do you think the traction control will work fine just on the front wheels or will get in conflict with the rear diff, i.e. breaking all spinning wheels? I ask this because i know that on models with factory locker, the traction control is completely disabled when the diff is locked.
Hey mate, not sure to be honest with you, something worth asking the mob who installs the eLocker. It would definitely be beneficial having traction control on the front and the rears locked 👍
Browsing through the forums, someone said: "You cant turn off the TC. This system works well as the traction doesnt see any slip across the rear axel so doesnt apply braking to those wheels. When the TC detects wheel spin across the front axel it slows up the spinning wheel". Now, i'm not sure if the guy actually tested or it is his opinion, but it would be great if someone else can confirm. It makes sense if TC works only on axles and not on all wheels, but then why would Mitsubishi disable TC when factory locker is on?

The TC is great. It’s definitely gotten me through some hairy situations, have been very happy with it!
Does this Ute come with rated recovry points? For recovery front and rear
That awesome triton traction control on full display. if it was a dmax you’d still be at the bottom of the hill. Nice video mate.
Haha yeah big fan of the triton traction control, thanks mate!
Do all Tritons regardless of spec model? Have off road traction control 👍🏻 looks great
@@Southern21076 not sure to be honest mate! I know some have diff locks which would be dope 🤙
