It seems this new album really speaks from your heart, how long have some of these songs been on the back burner in the writing process and how many were written within minutes? So far, I’m obsessed with everything. “You look me in the eyes, but I’m not really there.”

This whole process started about 4 years ago so that’s pretty much how long the songs have been around. None of them were written in minutes, and I think that’s so to the fact of how personal they are. I really tried to be responsible with working out how i felt and what I wanted to say this time around.

This song is amazing....the opening keyboards....then the rock steady lead vocals heading into that great chorus with fabulous vocal harmonies , that underlying humming vocal sound in the background towards the end of the song.. the guitar picking throughout the song......the pace the groove is great...I love how the keys, which sounds almost like a synthesizer, and the acoustic guitar are featured in this song... they're fabulous...... everything this band creates is in the elite art of great rock n roll music...well done again TGS🎼🎼🎶🎶⚡🌞✨🙏🏼

What’s it feel like to play such massive/prestigious venues and then go and play a wicked intimate show at somewhere like KEE? Prefer one over the other?
It feels re-invigorating to be right on top of people and feel the body heat. And it’s nice to hear your voice so easy off the back wall of you take your in ears out.
You guys are awesome and thanks for years of great music! Aside from the Kee, what are some of your favourite venues to play?
Commodore, 7th Ave, Massey Hall, The Vat back in the day.

Some songs are to hard to write but the key is to pick away at them and let the feelings ruminate.

No. There is no such thing as returning to your roots in my eyes. It’s just about trying to explain the feeling now, and hoping it is enough.

Do you have a preference when playing live to not play an instrument on top of singing? Or do you prefer strumming an acoustic with songs? Or impartial?
The boys love me without an acoustic but I love to play and feel connected to the band that way. Also my singing seems to be a little more automatic because I’m not listening o my voice so much.
You guys have such a soothing effect with your songs. I love that.

I actually think the initial influence was from my brother Jay who took influence from Ronnie. So ya! Literally love that man.

Speed of Light was easy to write and extremely hard to finish. Took three recordings of the same song and three years. It’s one of those songs where you decide that it’ll never be perfect but you have to let it go.
@@TheGloriousSons I’m sure it will be another favourite of mine! I’m all too familiar with that struggle, down to the smallest details of beats hitting at the right time etc but it’s worth it in the end. Looking forward to hearing it!

Hello Donna. It was pretty hard this time around. I feel like for the most part we’re dealing with more complicated feelings- where as in something like YBAF, it was personal but felt more immature and less self aware (which is fine), but I wanted to grow and have my music grow with me.
