Makes my mouth water. Yum. Couple of weeks ago, I was on an assignment n had no time shop for food. I had beef chorizo, brown rice, Mex seasonings. I came up w/an original, Mexican fried rice.
Angel, I am so excited to make this! I love the addition of Kam Yen Jan sausage, it gives the dish an umami, sweet flavor. And served with some lao gan ma as the finishing touch! Thanks for sharing your recipe :)
Hi Angel! Stumbled upon this video, just want to ask, if i wish to add aromatics to my fried rice, when should i do it? Before the sausage? Or before the egg?
I like chicken, pork, beef, or shrimp in my fried rice. I think I will try Filipino hot sausage next time since that's my favorite one. My favorite soy sauce is one with calamansi added. I'd probably have to sour the vegetables with tamarind seasoning blend to get Lee's and my son Daniel to eat them. Lee though wouldn't eat them. Need to head to the Asian grocery store for more tamarind seasoning blend to make sinigang (Filipino sour soup) which is my most favorite food. Actually I want to get the bulk ingredients and make my own blend sans the MSG. Daniel loves it too. It's the only way I can get him to eat most green vegetables. Lee doesn't like it. The soured meat turns him off. Leaves more for Daniel and I.
I love your channel. Swear by multiple of your recipes. However, these days having an egg fried rice video has the danger of being mildly teased by "uncle roger". Some of your best videos: whole chicken, onion pancakes, ginger beef but i need to watch more, keep making them? Channels I also love. Helen rennie, darren mcready, magic ingredients, tasting history, and several others. ....
Hey, Ms Wong, are you able to provide direct links to the recipes you show in the videos? I used the link to recipes and found a pumpkin fried rice but not this one. While this recipe is simple enough I just like to ensure I follow along with some proven proportions. Thanks.
I probably use about 4 tablespoons of oil in total (it's really up to personal preference). If you let the rice come to room temperature, it will break up easier when cooking.
Have you seen a new style of fried rice where you mix the egg into the cold rice first? This way the eggs and rice are cooked together. I tried it for the first time about a month ago and it was a revelation. In the past, the oil and soy sauce makes the rice too soggy. Something about the wok and my stove. The pan never gets hot enough to "fry" the rice. Also, I go crazy with white pepper. Something in the white pepper makes it so aromatic. I LOVE it!!!
Egg fried rice with Chinese sausages is one of my favourite fried rice in Chinese/Taiwanese cuisines, but I sometimes have it in Chinese/Taiwanese restaurants or homemade.

Hi! Can you please give us the brand of the Chinese sausage? The one I buy has so much white fat in it, and the one you showed us looks so much better quality. Thanks!
Great video Angel, your persona is too cute. You’re my fav home chef who also happens to be a gorgeous princess, my only suggestion is to be careful with garments or clothing with loose fabric as it could pose a fire hazard on the kitchen range. I’m in training for firefighting so that’s why I point that out, but I love your outfit and I think it looks great on you as always Gabe
I've always liked Chinese Sausage in my Fried Rice because it's a bit sweet & salty all in one bite! ✨ 🍚 What do you like in your fried rice?
Shrimp, and a little dark soy sauce :)
Spring onion, lap cheong ( Chinese sausage), shrimp/anchovies, 🌶 chilli 😋😋😋😋
This is indeed tasty. Use Crawfish boudin instead of Chinese sausage and this is a down home 'Rice and Eggs' Cajun breakfast.
Shrimp!
I used luncheon meat and frozen peas & carrots to make it this evening.
And now I’m convinced that I need this wok. Ordering now to make Angel’s egg fried rice!
this looks amazing! I need to get me some of that chinese sausage!
Thank you! Hope you guys are doing well! 😘
This is my go to easy meal. So good!
Thank you Angel. Love Chinese sausage fried rice. Delicious! Thanks so much

Yum! I've tried taco seasonings and cheese mixed in with the rice and it was delicious.
@@angelwongskitchen It takes imagination n creativity to come w/new ideas like that, Angel, although mine did not have cheese in it.
Looks easy cooking and delicious I will try thank you
Yum! My childhood favorite.
Nothing more satisfying than whipping up eggs with chopsticks.
Looks good. Take it to the next level with garlic and Shallots. Yummy

A favorite of mine! Chinese sausage for fried rice. I like to have this dish with some Chinese butter! Hope you’re doing well!

Fermented Bean Curd. Aka Chinese Butter - the square pieces in the jar remind me of butter pieces to spread on bread.
Ah yes!!!! Lololol..

Wow. A Beautiful chef. Miss Angel 😇❤️👩🍳🍳😋🥡🥣 thank you. my 2 girls love this meal 😎❤️😇😇
Hi Angel! Stumbled upon this video, just want to ask, if i wish to add aromatics to my fried rice, when should i do it? Before the sausage? Or before the egg?
If it's things like garlic and onions, I usually stir fry those in the beginning.
No epic wok flipping action, but fried rice looks good.

Is your pepper white or black?
I used leftover rice and try my best breaking it up but it still clumps. Do you need a lot of oil?

How about some deep fried icecream balls. Have not had one since I was a kid
Very tempting...I think if I got started, I would make deep fried ice cream every evening with different flavors. 😂.

pork usually has enough fat in it that you don't need oil to cook it, is this true with the sausage you are using?

I take out the casing from the sausages

Is xiang chang the same as lop cheung? (I'm guessing cantonese)?
Yes, I believe so.
Xiang as in Xiang Gang (Hong Kong)?
