Georgia 6.50-9.50 is beyond brilliant. Each time he plays through the bridge with a different harmonization all of them with impeccable taste and technique. Nobody ever played Georgia like that. Lenny was a creative genius and one of the very best guitar players.
Watching this again, I just had to comment: what a treasure we had in Lennie!!! If you knew him or just met him, you never forgot him. Sure he had his demons, but his playing was extraordinary. Proud to say I spent a few days with him. and shared the stage too. We miss you Lennie!!!
That is so great. To meet a talent like that is life changing . I am sure it was to the best. Miss him , but we will never forget Lenny Breau . Thank you
Appreciate your comment, funny watching Lennie "read" the charts. He had an amazing and quick ear, but his reading was more of a put on to make him look "legit". Learned more in three days with him than in the next thirty years!!!
Wow , the complete show , stunned me , so amazing to see Lenny play in this Quartet. Thank you for posting , I look forward to seeing what Emily has produced of Lenny , Cheers Alberta Dave
At that point in his playing , 20 something, he was playing as good as jazz guitarists twice his age, and twice his experience. Self taught too. Unbelievable!
sorta does at the beginning of the melody line but the sax butchers it to pieces if thats what its supposed to be , heres Clifford doin it right : ua-cam.com/video/0mI87nmwETk/v-deo.html

Lenny Breau is magnificent.
I've grown to adore the tones of jazz guitars. So very much history and creativity in music; a world heritage.
What a beautiful memory...thank you for uploading and keeping Lenny's spirit alive. Legend.
Very cool. Great setting, good musicians and thanks for the Lenny.
Perfect setting for Lenny. Beautiful stuff.

Sounds like a short version of "What's New".
its called "I love the way she smiles and the corner of her eye curls up when she throws a fryingpan at my head "
sorta does at the beginning of the melody line but the sax butchers it to pieces if thats what its supposed to be , heres Clifford doin it right :

thinking of you
lord if Chet Baker, played Sax, it would sound like 16:55 on
I can't believe those guys need sheet music for a I-IV-V chord progression.
david
Charts, not sheet music. All musicians use them.
It’s not a 1 4 5.
Thank you!
