Some of you might be wondering why I didn't get it up, it's never happened to me before! Truth is I've been in something of a FF7R coma and didn't want to start the HUGE relic grind until I was done.

I did the math! You know how Eorzean time is different than Earth time? I calculated how many ingame years (using its day and night cycle) have passed since launch.
Nearly 20 years have gone by using the Eorzean day/night cycle and the Eorzean calendar.

@@pyxl666 you are assuming earzea uses the same calendar as us and in-game time is canon the reality is that it's only been 2 years
Fun Fact: Some of the Hrothgars here have hair and face combinations that aren't possible for players.
This just makes me sad tbh, if they can't wear most headgear I think more face customisation would have been a better tradeoff.
Hopefully that means something for 6.0...
@@zoruasnivy tbh hrothgar and viera can wear a lot... just not hats/helms. anything that replaces the face, glasses, circlets, etc can be worn. they were not gonna have anything work but devs put in off time to make 510 headpieces work. more was gonna be added, but covid happen which put a lot of stuff on the back burner.
like the farm concept was suppose to come out in this expac, but got pushed back to the next one. video game building does not do well in remote environment, it best done in an actual office environment.

And NPCs have hair and faces that are literally unavailable to players. What's your point?
What is great about this theme is that it sounds war/battle-ish, but doesn't evoke the feeling of battle itself. It portrays the down-time, the behind the scenes of war. I don't imagine death and swords clashing. I think about moments of respite at camp: furnishing weapons, nursing wounds, discussing battle plans. It's a relaxing song, but not relaxing enough to make me forget the bigger picture in the Gangos

it's amazing how every single piece of music in this game is distinct, soken is one musical wizard
Even the ones that play off of another theme, like Innocence or Hades still feel unique
Its like he creates a new musical culture for every zone theme.
@@BlazeLibra Honestly, I love the leitmotif themes, like what you'd find in Shadowbringers and Stormblood. "Who Brings Shadow" and "Insanity" both tie into the leitmotif of "Shadowbringers" (the song), which makes them absolutely fantastic pieces for their expansion.

This theme is probably my favorite of all of the original scores for FFXIV to date. Craziest part of all this is that this is content you do NOT have to do, and it has an entire score for areas and battle that a lot of people might miss! :O
The dev has massive balls to hide this amazing content on essentialy just relic weapon quest. And players that deep dive on this content is handsomely rewards

The Gangos theme is pretty sick, but tbh what I liked most about this quest path was the memory traversal stuff.
Oh right? That first one blew me away. They're up to some very cool stuff in Expansion 4...Forspoken is the rumoured name.

When I finally started this quest for the first time and got here, I just sat the controller down and left it running like all day. This music blew my mind.
So I just grinded 180 fates for 3 separate augmented resistance weapons. Coming back to this song felt like I was a champion returning home.
I really love how different this track is to the rest of the music. It provokes a feeling. Idk I sound weird dont I lol
XenoBlade X-3 No. The entire point if music is to evoke certain feelings and this game is the best at it.

6/10 not enough face.
2:17 is just masterful. When those pads kick in and that flute dances its own melody at 2:30, it instantly made this one of my favorite tracks in the game, even though it's really only present for a couple seconds in the song.
This music gets in my head as much as the La hee song and I love it!

This gives me Raktika vibes, and despite being wholly different locations I wonder if we'll get to meet Viera tribe in this region.
They mention Fran from the Ivalice series we met in storm blood from Orbonne Monastery. They said that she wasn't able to put up a Resistance yet against the empire because she wasn't able to find enough vieras. If she were to create a Resistance they would likely join the Eastern Alliance that the Boljzas Resistance is part of.
@@randomstreamer2868 it has nothing to do with not enough vieras and more to do with the fact her faction, Lente's Tears has in-fighting either amongst themselves or with other Dalmascan Rebellion groups. But yes there are Viera on the Source who live in Othard and maybe we'll get to meet a group of them. Thus far we've only met individual viera who are separate from their sisters.
Maybe we will meet male Viera alongside female hrotgar queen

I think I actually would've died if one of the watermark faces appeared at the very end of the video rapidly growing/flying towards the camera. I think that actually would've killed me if it happened. Please, never traumatize me like this again Mekkah Dee.
Reminds me a lot of The Witcher 3. Except Gerolts name is written incorrectly and he has hair in that game. And maybe he's a bit more heroic. And handsome.

I got some XI vibes from this track too! I really dig it, XIV's musical direction hasn't really gone in the XI directions (though Soken's done great things with his own directions)
