"Here be lions" is a common letmotif in the first two wings of Pandæmonium. Fitting that Hesperos' theme is called "Hic Svnt Leones." Its a phrase ancient cartographers used to mark uncharted territory on their maps. Hesperos was the first "anomaly" we encountered. A once noble and kind keyward turned into a twisted mirror image of himself and seemingly driven mad. There is even deliberate contradictions in the song. "Savage nobles, cultured thieves." Because nothing in the deeper chambers of Pandæmonium makes sense. "Here be lions, follow me." Is Hesperos inviting us to delve deeper into Pandæmonium's madness, and its uncharted chambers. A really nice touch
I had thought "Here be lions" was a reference to "Be of sober mind, be on the alert. Your adversary, the Devil, *prowls like a roaring lion,* seeking someone to devour."
@@Xelemich Actually, "Luceros" was the morning star. "Hesperos" was the dusk star, the star that could only be seen when the sun disappears from the sky. Fitting considering that his hemitheos mutation was a vampire, but also a signal that Hesperos himself was the first augur of everything wrong that we would encounter when delving into Pandæmonium.

Man I thought this song was pretty out there when the raid started. How far Pandaemonium has come indeed. I love that the background singers chanting the name of the raid was a running theme.
Actor and/or voice director definitely messed up somewhere because he definitely says "freaks." Or a lyric revision didn't land on the right desk in time.
I am assuming the dash and jump straight to the fight was to make the starting lyric go even *harder-* and I appreciate that tremendously as my brain has now always associated the beginning with a rush
Yep! Soken adores playing around with leitmotifs and this one in particular you can hear it as well in "Where Daemons Abide" (the theme that plays when you're in the Pandaemonium zone), and "Ancient Shackles" (the boss theme for the first three tiers).

even the meaning of his name, Hesperos... in mythology was the "morning star"
so is like a parallel with Lucifer, once noble then fallen from grace.
