What's the difference btw eevee render. And cycle render of this x box please?
Eevee is a real-time render engine like games and cycles is a offline (render traced) rendering engine. Cycles is good for photorealistic stuff while Eevee is good for semirealistic and toon stuff.

when i make the holes theres some not cut through things

adjust the height of the cylinders
You can also use a boolean to make the curve, this will help the cylinders to cut through properly
Make sure you don't subdivide the main cube, or else boolean for the curve won't work properly
