Could be the General lee from dukes reunion movie . At the beginning of the moonshine race the back taillight section was orange. I believe john Schneider talks about this on his UA-cam channel I could be wrong but I believe they painted the car based off the 1/24 scale diecast model . Soon after they realized their mistake and either painted another car or redid that one . This could be that car
It's not, that car in the reunion movie quickly had the taillight panel spray painted black on the warner bros set after john and tom pointed out that it was incorrect. I honestly think they just say that on this to try and make people think they're looking at something they're not.
That blue Subaru is from fate of the furious the 8th one great car though btw I can believe I found a dukes of Hazzard all season dvd set sitting in Walmart iv been trying to get my hand on a dvd set now I finally got it btw awesome vid brother stay rebel
I was at that museum back in '06 I dont think a lot of the cars they had were really official nor did they know anything about the shows. Aside from more cars in chunks vid not much seemed to have changed.
I'm going to Tennessee in 1st week of Sept... I just added this to my list, tickets are reasonable, going to titanic museum among other places 2.. thanks for tour!
Hey Chunky, I was there back in '06. Not sure if it's the same Lee as before, if it is they freshened up the interior. The one I seen had the Barris Crest on it and it could possibly be the same car because the 01's were wrong and the rims were the 15 spoke. Yes your correct about Barris didn't design the General, warner had him build a few chargers for the show back when they were slim on chargers. Not sure what seasons that was. I dont have anything personal against George, I've met him and talked to him at length several times I never understood why he claims that he built just about every tv and movie car ever. Before I met him I didn't know what a lincoln future looked like, I just knew that was what the batmobile was based off of. When I met him I asked how he built the car. George claimed he built it from scratch. Then I seen what it looked like before. There were only 5 concept cars built. My uncle designed and installed the electrical system in each car. Up until the 90's he didn't even know that the car became the batmobile. I also know George designed a car seat for knight rider do it hides the stunt driver to make it appear kitt is driving alone. Again when I asked George he claimed he designed the entire car. I just never understood why he said that. That Kitt replica at that museum was in a spot you could see the interior when I was there and wow it was way off. That's probably why it's at where it is now.
I'll be in the Pigeon Forge on vacation the few times or many times my favorite place with the star card Museum in my best favorite part at that museum is the General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard
Chunky monkey 40 I'm full-blooded Irish and the reason why I'm called Iris rub on UA-cam because I am a rebel at heart and I just love your videos dude because the Dukes of Hazzard bring so much of my childhood memories book thank you chunky monkey 40 from the bottom of my heart
Yee Haw brother!🤘 great content! I met John Schneider (Bo) when I was 5 in 1980 and got a signed picture that said “I like your boots yee haw” wish I still had it🥲 🤘🔥🌽🍞
Most of the cars if not all the cars are not actual movie cars they are fan-made cars. Some of the real cars are in a car museum in volo Illinois . The Beverly Hillbillies car is actually in a college Museum that the public can visit called College of the Ozarks.
Exactly, which proves that it's not a real general lee. George Barris had nothing to do with making them for the show, Warner Bros made the General Lee's. George Barris made two half ass general lees in the 90s for catherine bach to tour with
The interior of that "real" General has also been redone. I went to this museum way back in 2002 and the car had an all black interior at the time! I also remember the promotional brochure for the museum had a picture of that General with incorrectwheels on it and they were even mismatched! So this museum has slowly altered this car over the years while still claiming it's the "real deal".
That might be the general Lee from The reunions when are racing double zero when it took off there was one that had the orange sail panel and when it backed up at the beginning and the end of the race
Tom Sarmento, who has record of all the cars from the show and movies, he said it wasn't real. In that movie, it was orange for a few shots, then they spray painted it black on the spot. Plus, this cars decals are way off. The 01 is whack, and the blues in the rebel flag are too bright, the white lines in the flag are too thick. Its not real, the museum is moreso of a tourist trap
That may not be the car from smokey And The bandit because as I understand it they had more than one and none of them survived, I think that's what I remember hearing.

The “Dirty Dozen” Jeep had characters from M.A.S.H. You’d thing a museum would know what they are talking about.
Hahaha no way thats funny!!!!
@@ChunkeyMonkey40Y@@ChunkeyMonkey40 (driver seat)@@ChunkeyMonkey40 in the back. Maybe it was the same Jeep used in both features.
Possibly!
I was wondering about that! . Mash was on rotation in my house growing up! Will always remind me of Mom!

love this place
I love that Museum my favorite in Gatlinburg
Its cool!
I hate to tell you this, but that General Lee is a barris custom, if you look on the fender you’ll see his mark with the shield
Exactly, which proves that it's not a real general lee. George Barris had nothing to do with making them for the show, Warner Bros made the General Lee's. George Barris made two half ass general lees in the 90s for catherine bach to tour with
The Elvis gun is so cool
Right! I love that thing!

Lmao yeah come to find out, NONE of the cars are real. They are all replicas, its a tourist trap

I’ve been there two or three times
That may not be the car from smokey And The bandit because as I understand it they had more than one and none of them survived, I think that's what I remember hearing.
All of the cars at this museum, I've come to find out all of them are replicas.
@@ChunkeyMonkey40 Why am I not surprised.
General Lee is the Best
Barris had nothing to do with Herbie either. He takes credit for everything it seems. I think some of the cars there are not original.
Id say most all of the cars at this museum arent. Its a tourist trap
Majority of the cars there are replicas (fakes)
Yes they all are haha, its a tourist trap. Thats why its only $15 to enter 😂
