Great video brother! I have a building out back which is full of Dukes items.(and I mean full!) Everything is boxed up and has been for years.Lots of rare dukes toys in that building! We even have a pair of Catherine Bach's screen worn boots! I also have a 69 R/T 440 4 speed General Lee charger in same building.Would love to have you drop by sometime. We are located in Durham,N.C.
I would love to come by sometime! I don't know when I will be in NC next, it will be a while because of the gas prices, but reach out to me via facebook or instagram so we can keep in touch
Awesome place! Me and the missus just went last year. It is like a museum that doesn't cost any money. True Southern hospitality! 😁
THANKS FOR THE RIDE BACK IN TIME .REBEL FOR LIFE.
Anytime bud! I got plenty of videos like this on the channel! Yeee haa!
Back in 2002 checked out the original Cooter's place back when it was still open in Sperryville, Virginia and the second original location in Gatlinburg, TN. I've yet to check out Nashville, or the two newer locations. But one day I will.
You will love them! If you look in the description of this video, I linked tour videos of the other two locations, Luray Virginia and Nashville Tennessee. I enjoyed Luray more than Nashville, but the Nashville one was the first one I went to and I also go to Nashville more frequently.... alongside being a dukes of hazzard nut I also am a huge music fanatic haha
That's dope lol I need to go visit one
They are all so awesome! I've now been to all 3 Cooter's Place Locations, they are all great in their own ways but Pigeon Forge is probably my favorite.
Amazing. Congrats ChunkyMonkey40
Southern pride
Till we die!
Oh my Lord, I went to Cooter's Place in Pigeon Forge today (5/8/2023) and met Rick Hurst (Cletus). Awesome vaca so far.
This is awesome. Thanks for sharing.
I’ve been to Cooter’s Place in Pigeon Forge, I was there about 4 years ago, at that time, they had a screen used General Lee that John Schneider & Tom Wopat actually drove on the show, the General lee I saw in the store had a tan dashboard, it was all tan inside the car, and I bought a Cooter’s Place sign that has the General Lee on it as well, that place is simply AWESOME!!!!!!
I don't think it was screen used. Cooters never owned any screen used cars from Dukes. But nonetheless, im glad you had fun at the museum!
Great video! I visited the one in Nashville! An awesome experience
I met Rick Hurst a few years ago when they were still in Gatlinburg. Super nice guy? He signed a picture for me too
Awesome video Derek!!! Man I didn’t know that Tom Sarmento jumped the A team van, thank you for sharing. I can’t wait to visit this Cooters place.
So long ago now. Used to watch this at my dad's house on the weekends. Dad took me to a World of Wheels convention in Chattanooga TN around 1982 when I was 13 and I got to meet Roscoe himself James Best. Nice man. Very piercing eyes. Funny enough I learned many years later he loved to play computer games like me lol.
John(Bo) has his own YT channel which is pretty good.
great job cm40!!!!!!!!!! i love all your videos keep up the great work in 2023!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much!!! Get ready, 2023 is gonna be a big year with LOTS of new and great content to come soon to the channel!
@@ChunkeyMonkey40 great stay safe!!!!!!!!
Awesome video. Thanks
Thanks for the shout out 😂 good content man! You have me wanting to visit Covington now!
Haha no prob man! I got a kick outta seein you write your name everywhere lol! Good shit!
Lol it was when I first started my channel up. One of my first vlogs was at cooters! If I get to Covington soon I’ll give you a shout out back seeing I got a couple of the filming locations off this channel.
Great shows love them all ❤️ 💕 ♥️
Amazing stuff, cant wait to see it in person- especially the prop rooms
You'll love it! I assume the museum has much expanded and is fully completed. I shot this video back in May 2022 so it's kind of outdated on what it probably looks like there today.
Can't WAIT to watch this!!! You gotta a great channel brother!!! I love it!!!
Thank you so much man, I'm glad you enjoy my videos! I hope you like this one, this museum was super cool!
My road runner is signed by most of them . I was really excited to get sheriff littles signature a few years back
Thats super cool! Is it the black one in your profile picture?
@@ChunkeyMonkey40 no. I have 72 Plymouth roadrunner that's going off to the paint shop to get painted yellow with the black stripe on it like daiseys car was before she got Dixie
Oh thats awesome man!!!!!! You'll have to send me some pictures when it's done!
I whent to the one in Gatlinburg Tennessee he had a mini golf and a go-kart track in there and man I think he had more memorabilia at that location. I dig the napkin holder from the Boar's Nest man that was cool. As for the cb was used in the show I believe.they had one that was in cooters tow truck . That might have been in dasy jeep I've never seen the one in Nashville Tennessee I got to get over there and check them out I used to work in Conroe Georgia I've seen the original Boar's Nest that's a church now.
Good job chunky I saw how you made your thumbnail on Instagram it really looks legit awesome work bro by the way love the vid I might go visit one of the museums when I'm older or get the money together for road trip other than that good vid and nice thumbnail
Thank you so much buddy! Haha yeah I honestly can't believe I was able to make it look as good as I did but it worked! Just save up your money, and when you have the extra cash take the leap and make the trip. These museums ain't going anywhere anytime soon, and the more you build the anticipation the more exciting the trip will be. I personally recommend you wait until there's a meet and greet with one of the stars at one of the museums, you'll have a blast on a day like that!
@@ChunkeyMonkey40 Yessir I can't wait
Yes, finally got to go last week such an amazing place
Yess it is! Have you been to the other 2 locations? If not I also made vlogs there as well! They are just as awesome!
Yes, I love your coverage on the other two videos but no I have not been there yet keep up the good work
@tthulsey you will love it when you get the chance to go! And thank you bro!!
Thks man plan to visit in next few weeks! Yee Haa!!
I have the same pin ball machine in my grandparents basement, been with my dad since the early 80's. He Introduced me to the DVDs in 2006. The general is what started my love for stock car racing. P.s one of my friends dad's builds general lees
That's awesome!
I've been to the Nashville Cooter's place , myself just recently in 2023.
Nashville is very cool! I've done a video showcasing all 3 Cooter's Place Locations! Love them all!
I love cooters place in Nashville
I've been collecting general Lee's for years
Sweeeet!!!
How many you got?
Such an awesome video! My dad is a huge fan of dukes! He would be in heaven lol
Thank you so much!!! My dad is a big fan too, he's the one who got me into it all haha. You should show him the video! I also have another video where I showed off the filming locations from Dukes, I bet your Dad would get a kick outta that one too!
@@ChunkeyMonkey40 OMG! Yes I will def show him both of those the next time I see him. He'll love it for sure.
@@ChunkeyMonkey40where is this place at? I would like to go visit some day. I just subscribed and following your videos. 👍cool!
Awesome video man I have all the die cast cars from the dukes of Hazzard that Cooter's place sells all I need is the 1 18 scale general lee that comes with the decal kit and the 1 18 scale camouflage Hazzard County cop car but there very expensive
Thank you Gerald! Thats cool you have all of those! I'd like to start collecting them myself, and eventually I'll start making videos about the different diecasts that they sell and talking about their significance/roles in the show. Stay tuned for that this year sometime!
As a General lee 69 Dodge charger owner. This is heaven.
Hell yeah haha!
Chunky monkey that is a cool awesome video I love it dude I even got the whole set of Dukes of Hazzard on DVDs I am like you I am such a big fan
Heck yeah thats awesome!

Sweet! Let me know if it's still on there haha!
I was there, but it in Nashville
The nashville location is cool too
GREAT. SHOW. KEEP IT. UP😅
Thanks! Will do!
My friend and I built the Boars Nest and other buildings for the go cart track. Do you know if anything else is left from that?
I didn't notice much more, but I also was there while they were doing construction so a lot of stuff wasn't on display. Im not totally sure
❤❤❤❤❤❤
I wonder what happened to the actual Jeep “Dixie” that Catherine Bach drove on the show? I wonder if it’s still around?
I've been to this location and I liked it but I liked it better when it was in Gatlinburg. I guess the rent was too high so they moved it here.
They was one in Gatlinburg
They closed Gaitlinburg and moved to Pigeon Forge
You were talking about them general lee toys I actually Got one of them
No way thats cool!!! Which one??
@@ChunkeyMonkey40 the one from Auto-world re released decal general lee 1:18 diecast
Thats awesome!!
Boss Hog Get on the mortgage on the Duke Farm
That scene is a little different
Dude do one of kid rock old albums LIKE BEFORE DEVIL WITHOUT A CAUSE, Polyfuze method, early morning stoned pimp, grits sandwiches for breakfast dude no one gives two shits on his old albums, it would be cool if you did a review like bad reputation, like opinions.
Thank you for the request, I actually really want to do videos on those albums. Mainly early morning stoned pimp, I really enjoy that album. I'm not too big of a fan of Polyfuze method, but I also haven't listened to it that much.
It's in the same parking area as midget wrestling
Hahahaha yes it is!
I'd love to see some midget wrestling when I visit in May
Hell to tha yay ya!
01🇧🇻
You know this dude lives in his mom’s basement !!!
Not even close, but im sure you do! After all you're the one holding your small wiener writing comments on my videos
Loving Dukes of Hazzard doesn’t have to be politically contentious or at the expense of some other group. It was an inclusive show made by enlightened educated people. Creating this alternative MAGA idgf thing detracts from the positive message The Dukes projected as an apolitical wholesome family show.
Uhhh what? 🤣 there's nothing maga in this video that I remember. If you're attempting to say that you're offended my koozie "I General Lee Don't Give a F*ck"..... well read the koozie and you'll know how I feel. Don't be a spineless p*$$y! ❄️❄️❄️
I'd sell my man junk for that car
