- AMS 2 versus ACC - side by side comparison.
Spa Francorchamps in Mercedes AMG GT 3. Both runs on default setup with minor changes.
Both games were recorded with maxed out graphic settings fixed at 100fps with "Magic HDR" Reshade filter.
I must say, that Reiza did an amazing job with this new 1.5 update. The feeling of the car and grip is as close to ACC as it has never been before.
In AMS 2 lap time was better but I think this may be due to the new 2022 version of Spa offers a bit more grip.
Can't wait for the Le Mans DLC :D
Let me know in the comments which Sim do you think looks better and feels better to drive.

My setup:
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X + 32GB RAM + Gigabyte Eagle OC RTX 4070 Ti 12GB
Xiaomi Mi Curved Gaming Monitor 34"
Thrustmaster TS-XW + SF1000 Ferrari Wheel + T-LCM Pedals + TH8A Shifter
Ams2 is quickly becoming my favorite sim
I just don't understand how all the rest of these similar games like Rf2, ACC, AC can't get a VR experience down like AMS2 it's just frightening how much better it is and the sound is second to none
Different approach. I assumed due to the game engine. ACC was made with Unreal Engine 4. It's everyone's game engine. While AMS2 just reused and extended the Project Cars game engine which the game engine itself was created by a dedicated studio to create the racing car game, and of course the VR.
Ams2 so underrated
With this you made me download again AMS2 I love the way the car gets affected by the kerbs much more realistic
You're welcome :)
AMS 2 has definitely reached a better level than ACC with its new tire model
What surprised me about AMS2 is how much better the force feedback feels. It's probably just due to my G29, but in ACC I very often feel nothing in the wheel when the car is sliding. AMS2 physics are a bit more slidey, but it's not as snappy and I actually feel it and can control it. I don't know how realistic it is or not, but to me it feels much better.
AMS2 better for sure!! Not just in graphics but fisics too!
As an supercopa driver
It’s like an open GT or Mexican gt4 I can confirm that AMS2 is more accurate at driving than ACC and has no FIA certification
I have both and in my opinion AMS2 has the best graphics and is the best sim its really awesome now.
ams2 sound has more OOMPH

AMS2 is really getting there, 1.5 was great. If it just had a decent campaign and a decent online rated race system it would be amazing. But I have faith Reiza will get there. The VR implementation is probably the best of all racing sims.
yes man, if they built in an LFM type system, they would 10x their player pop in one day
Let's not forget they inherited the very excellent VR implementation of PC2
The AMS2 version of Spa is more up to date. Its very accurate when it comes to where the grandstands are and everything.
AMS2 is my new GOTO and has been for the last 6mo. the recent update made it even better. Id recommend turning all head movement down to 0 in camera settings and removing the tire sound or at least lower it a ton. Makes you think you're on the edge for nothing.
FOV seems different.
ACC puts much more stress on the system only to reach worse quality. I thought it sounded better but that I think is true to AC only.
acc sound a lot better, its just the quality of the video
AMG GT3 has a great sound in ACC. It only seems hushed a bit while driving with the dash view. In AMS 2 it sounds more mean.
AMS2 is so dark, on brighter areas it is good, but as soon as sections come which are under shadow the whole thing becomes too dark which looks so unnatural. Just one single reason why it is impossible for me to love this game. @0:25 After a few laps it gives me headache. ACC i can run for hours at a stretch.
AMS2 is my favorite gaming experience after they fixed the physics, also have more speed feeling. ACC have better FFB and more vivid colors. I love both games.
Interesting, I much preferred the FFB in AMS2
AMS2
I tested both at 4K resolution with epic settings and I can say that ACC has better graphics by far
AMS 2 Better sound
can you post maybe your amg acc setup on spa pls
I will for next week.
Love both, but cmon ACC as official GT game why Spa is not updated as AMS2 does.?
The sense of speed is so much better in ACC 🤔
ACC recorded with higher Fov in replay. 😉
I doubt ACC was maxed out here though. It is displaying a level of pop-in I do not have on my system on max settings. It also seems to use either FSR or DLSS (see banners texture quality), which add a level of bluriness. Time of the year is also different (spring or summer in AMS2, while ACC uses fall as per official calendar), giving the impression that ACC looks less color accurate with more muted trees and slightly different lightning/shadow lengths (which also help to mask lack of shadow definition in AMS2). Fresher surface road in AMS2 also make it look more crisp with darker tarmac.
AMS2 can look good, but is clearly outclassed by ACC overall. Not even talking about sound...
Outside of presentation, AMS2 physics are still very uneven between all the content and it is showing here, even after the latest update. Sure the new road surface might help to have faster time, but you can do the experiment with other tracks, you will always end up 1 to 2 seconds faster with way less effort and close to no setup work. That is not even considering that on AMS2 there is only the 2015 AMG, while in ACC you used the 2020 EVO version.
Still enjoying AMS2 as a time machine to race those older categories and tracks with the AI (not represented in AC either), but it cannot be compared in an objective manner to any modern sim.
thanks, I thought I was alone thinking that AMS2 require way less effort for better laptime. Agreed with your whole comment.
in VR, Automobilista 2 is better than 3x 4k triple monitor setup. quest 3 and dropping ss to 70% and forcing max settings in virtual desktop is beyong my expectations. ACC was okay but the unreal engine needs better implementation for VR
AMS2 forever!
Well AMS2 wins on lap time.
To establish if lap time difference comes from this new version of Spa or the game physics engine I need to do some more testing on other tracks ;)
Biggest flaw in ams2 is that it has gt3 cars... Most boring cars of all. I would appreciate sim all the other cars but not gt3 😁
I somehow never got bored with GT 3 stuff 😆
I used to drove acc alot, but in the end i got so bored of gt3, that these days i won't anymore. They aren unlively to drive, kind of too easy to handle yet hard to go fast. So the marginals for driving line are small, and u end up kind of grinding centimenters of track again and again. I like car that u have to wrestle with, a car that wants to throw u out and a car that is difficult to drive same way twice.. @@Scalibur_Greg
@@Pandomar1 If you like wrestle with the car, then I encourage you to try Richard Burns Rally :)
@@Scalibur_Greg that is one of my favorits, especially witht vintage porsche
Mine too. Got couple of videos from RBR on the channel ;)
Honestly, I like ACC better. The objects and people around the track give it a much more alive feeling. AMS2 just looks empty and plain.
That normal. AMS2 has dynamic crowd , when you are in test day , nobody is here, but when you are in race day you have many people around the track.
now compare it in vr 😂
