Michael Ougarezos wasn’t glorifying Mel, he was saying we, the general public should be proud of him for The Passion of The Christ and I agree with him. That film was spectacular, eye-opening and true to Scripture. IMHO! the best movie of all time!

The likes of Mel Gibson comes along once in a millennia. I've seen many/most of his movies. Not only is he an acting genius, but his talents way out succeed 99% of Hollywood. His "Max" movies are genius. Who cares about his personal life? It's what's on screen that matters.

Mel Gibson’s lawyers wanted him to fight his ex-wife’s financial settlement. He said no, give her half of everything. She has been a good wife, mother and woman. I shamed her. He even gave her half of all the Hollywood organizations money, I.e., Directors’ Guild, Producers Guild, SAG, etc. I respect him for that and he is a great actor, director, producer, friend. Robert Downey, Jr. said we will never know the people he has secretly helped.

Living in Commiefornia and having met many celebrities, I can tell you Mel is a better person than actor. Separate from his acting, he is resolute in his beliefs. He is direct in his conversations. He will listen to argument. He is approachable if you're not an idiot. His sense of humor requires that you "listen" to him. He can pierce you without you even feeling it, but it's rarely done in hostility, just likes to give a shot if he likes you. There are very few like him out here ... notably Tom Selleck, Kurt Russell, Sam Elliott, Jay Leno. These are "real people", and worth knowing aside from their profession.

Mel is the best actor I have ever watched and I have watched plenty. Most of his personal problems are due to the envy of others. I’m sure most actors do far worse and get by without even a mention of any actions. He’s a brilliant actor and director and my only wish is that others would get over themselves let him act and direct. And before you say anything about his personal lifestyle, start looking into the other actors lifestyles both past and present. You’ll see some really strange stuff.
