And that was because of Linda Hamilton who is actually the one who did it.....
Even when people are joking about him, this man comes out on top. When we hear an Austrian accent, we don't think "Austrian accent", we think "Arnold voice".
He used people not believing in him and being underestimated to his advantage and as a strength. Arnold has long been a big motivation for me to succeed in my dreams and aspirations of becoming a successful writer, entrepreneur and businessman.
I think that is hilarious he reminds me so much of Trump yet you love Arnold because he is "nice" but the same ego just different words. Shows alot about your comprehension of life and lack there of.
He is such a class act. Not only is he insanely self aware and willing to grab the bull by the horns, but he owns his quirks and recognizes that a big part of what has made him iconic is the accent and he doesn't take it the wrong way that people impersonate him and he sees it for the appreciation that it is. Really down to earth guy

Funny one-liners. They could have done a better job though by not showing the cable attached to Sully's ankle before Arnold dropped him. Or not filming the springboards when the bad guys get blown up in the yard fight. Or how the banged up Porsche was miraclously whole again when Arnold and Rae Dawn drove off after Sully got dropped. Other than that the movie was okay. My personal favorite are still Conan the Barbarian, Predator and all of the Terminator movies Arnold played in.
I can't overstate how influential Arnie has been to me, growing up in the late 80's/early 90's and watching all of his movies with my dad are some of my favorite childhood memories.
I love how detailed he is in his memory. Every name and moment comes back to him right away. He’s a smartly attentive guy and you can tell how important his career is to him.
Last Action Hero never gets any love, but to me it was one of the most creative premises to an action film, and the entertainment was of the charts. I wish more people recognized it’s brilliance.
I love how Schwarzenegger has never been like a really good actor, but he's got a charm that somehow makes whatever he is in good. It's right on that line of irony and brilliance.
i think that arnold chose his roles better than stallone did. arnold knew he wasn't the best actor but he found parts where he wasn't talking a ton and his accent didn't ruin his lines. stallone, because of rocky, thought he was better than he was. anyway, taxi driver should have won the oscar for best picture but the oscars are lame so whatever.
the whole, "I'll be back / I will be back" thing is great, because I completely agree with Arnold here, but it's ridiculous how iconic the line is, and couldn't be anything else. definitely cemented in cinema history
Arnold really REALLY likes to get into character. Conan is perhaps the best example of this where he was more or less an uncredited director for that particular film with how involved he was and how he wanted to portray the character. Terminator is no exception so naturally, he brought a “machine” like performance including the lines and mannerisms.
I mean, while we all love "I'll be back" line, we wouldn't even know it could've been differen,t should they go with "I will" version in a script. Then we'd think it couldn't be anything else than "I will".
The amount of emblematic films Arnold stared is just staggering. I literally grew up watching his films, and most of them many times. What a legendary actor!
@@cLaUdiALeE77 Yeah I heard about that. I also heard that he was being taken out of context though, so maybe it’s not what it seems. Hopefully he had good intentions behind what he said.

Honestly, there's probably some advantages to lifting weights drunk. You're not going to feel as much pain, and you'll be able to push your body harder. Of course, it seems like there would be some risks as well.
Well you have to remember Arnold wasnt a giant star when he said that. In fact he was completely unknown outside of the weight lifting community in the 1970s.
When I served in the USMC, and was stationed in Okinawa I purchased his book on bodybuilding, he was inspirational, and I still see this in him. My Son plays ‘Pumping Iron’ before he goes in his garage to workout. He said the Documentary motivates him.
@@nightk3717 James Cameron writes and directs though. He's another legend just like Arnold. He worked as a truck driver while writing his first scripts. Never went to film school.

He was one of the most influential actors of his time and one of the most like actors since the 80s. Politician? He literally was the Governor of California, the state with the highest population by far. Yet he's all for the new terminator movies? I'm not saying he's wrong on that remake, but if he was a part of it I'm sure he'd be a lot less critical of it.
The Robocop remake gets too much hate ... I think they actually had an interesting take on the original, and explored a few different angles that went into deeper futurist sci-fi territory. The fact that he is still acutely aware of himself throughout the whole process was extremely disturbing and also speaks about the horrors of transhumanism in a way the original didn't really go full throttle with. It's not a better movie by any means it's just different, and I can appreciate it on that level.
@@Ben-yy2tx No he's not. He clearly is passionate about the role, and he's making a fuckload of money out of it. Even if the franchise itself is trash now, everyone still loves to see Arnold playing the role.

Because they're idiots.
Arnold grew as an actor and improved his English. More importantly he has a natural charisma that can't be taught, plus he had the determination to make it happen. But if there hadn't been a role like Conan, where Arnold's size and accent were strengths not weaknesses (as he points out in the video), that allowed him to break out he would have been stuck doing B-movies and playing silent heavies.
Wish they included Commando: "Please don't disturb my friend, he's dead tired." "I eat Green Berets for breakfast, and right now I'm very hungry!" "Remember when I said I'd kill you last... I lied."
I saw Total Recall opening day at Studio City. It was playing in all theaters and the line was wrapped around the block. It was the only time I ever got that kind of experience and it was awesome.
Mayonnaise goes On the bread “Remember Sully when I promised to kill you last?” “That’s right, Matrix, you did!” “I LIED..” “LULLULUUUUUUAAAAAUUUHHH!” “What you do with Sully?” “I let him go.”
Out of Arnold's movies I have to go with T2, but I admit it is a close call between T2 and Predator. They're both flawless movies, so it's really hard to pick one as the better. Although as they keep coming out with new Terminator movies that crap all over the old ones, it might actually move Predator up to number 1.

My personal favorite are still Conan the Barbarian, Predator and all of the Terminator movies Arnold played in.

the whole, "I'll be back / I will be back" thing is great, because I completely agree with Arnold here, but it's ridiculous how iconic the line is, and couldn't be anything else. definitely cemented in cinema history
A lot of movie actors uses that very same line, even mentioned the terminator a lot.
