I love the precision this band achieves. The section with the English horn and flute echoing passages gave me chills. Another stellar performance by The President's Own.
OMG, when the tbones kicked it mvt 2....I laughed out loud, it was so good at this super quick tempo....I've never heard it this fast! That was fun! It reminds me of the time I heard the band on tour down here in FL, and they did Fillmore's Rolling Thunder March in about 1'38" seconds....I timed it because it was blazing fast, and the trombones were KILLING IT! :They got a standing ovation, and the crowd went wild......as they should. As a clarinetist, I'd like to thank Maj. Nowlin for taking the last mvt at a tempo that lets us tongue it! The little accelerando at the end was nice, too. Great, great job, everyone!
WOW!! Beautiful and great sounds of the music .. this is fantastic .. I love so much .. thank you to all for your great performance.. a nice pleasure to hear that .. bravo ❤
I wish there was a bigger build-up prior to the 'storm' @ 3:31. This entire section, together with the storm could be grander in tempo so that the real stars of the storm section - the trombones, could enunciate better and be heard clearer. 4:14 leftmost flautist has to be made aware to position her flute more upright & parallel to lips for better presentation and projection.
These are professional musicians, they are focused on the sound not their precise aesthetic when playing. Her posture has no doubt been carefully considered by herself and her teachers before to produce the best individual sound. If you look at professional flutists there is a wide range in angle the flute is held with the floor and the lips, but almost all employ at least a slight tilt of the head and angle.
@chatbud. Isn’t it cute when peons try to criticize the best in the business? HAHA. It just shows how silly and pretentious they are. Are you really going to try and teach a true professional flutist how to hold her instrument. Go back to your middle high band and stay there. The audition system to join this group is quite strenuous…..as much as most major symphony orchestras. There are doctorates from Juilliard, Illinois, NEC, Shepherd, Michigan, Peabody, and many more in this ensemble.
so good but... some dynamics are missing... the ending is not good, i'm italian and know so good how is written and played in Italy this... but however so good and nice performance!

Our military musicians make me proud.
Love the percussionist adding earplugs at the beginning of the finale.
Nicely done. Beautiful English Horn and Flute solos and fine conducting!

Please elaborate. What dynamics are missing. Be specific.
