18:21 Actually killed me a little when he not only forgot there was an empty space (which is why the frame couldn’t go all the way) but he also went above the space but didn’t think to check below. Understandable but for some reason really got to me, great map
totally expect SmallAnt to add a facetious lighting environment just to mess with Jordan now.
I can't say for sure what the next step is, but as far as I can tell Jordan will _definitely_ need to break the boat by landing it on either the second or third iron trapdoor and release it so it falls 12 or 13 blocks. That will of course give him the materials to craft a wooden sword, which he can use to break the cobweb. As to what that accomplishes besides dropping string, I have no idea.
still needs a crafting table to make the sword tho so we're still stuck

That Jordans instinct upon seeing a chote (choat?) is NOT to look into the chest and even going so far as to be surprised when hAs something in it is somehow mildly concerning and also quite hilarious to me..... 😂
It’s scary to think there are 4-ish more of these that just get harder
Moments before the end of the video; my solution is this:
1. Get the boat to break. Jordan didn't try all the possible heights before giving up. Alternatively, look up the heights that make it break and work out where the boat needs to fall yourself.
2. The boat breaks into three sticks and two planks. Use one stick and the planks to craft a wooden sword, and break the cobweb for string. Stand on the other boat if you have to.
3. Place the furnace against the barrier block opposite the comparator. The comparator can read the inventory of the blast furnace through the barrier block. You need to fill the furnace enough that its output becomes equal to that of the cake. It's hard to tell, but it looks like 5 or 6 slices of the cake remain, meaning he needs to achieve a signal strength above 10 or 12 (more than the item frame can output, hence the furnace), which requires 1 stack and 60 items or 2 stacks and 23 items. A piece of armor counts as a full stack, so he can put the sword in the fuel slot and an armor piece in the smelting slot to achieve 2 stacks (so it's probably only 5 slices of cake).
The rest is speculative, likely to be useful for whatever happens after the comparator is activated.
4. The dropper also contained 4 bamboo (for 2 sticks, presumably, meaning you'd have 4 in total), a feather, and a flint. With the string from the cobweb, that's exactly a bow and 4 arrows. It's unclear what good these will do at this stage.
5. Finally, there's the raw gold and the blaze rod, which suggests that more smelting might be necessary. If the player smelts all the gold and armor, they'll have an ingot and three nuggets, or 12 nuggets. It's similarly unclear what that's good for.
6. If he needs more fuel for some reason, he still has a second boat. The boat smelts 6 items, whereas the blaze rod smelts 12, the sword smelts 1, and the bow smelts 1.5.
For 1, SmallAnt said the answer was not related to the pressure plates, so i assume that's not the answer (although the hint could have been worded ambiguously

JARDON it's not the boatdrop bug. That bug only occurs when a boat is _exactly_ on the ground on its last tick of falling, and that can't happen unless it falls from a solid block onto another solid block.
Smallant rare smallbrain moment for not considering how a room made entirely of bedrock will tank the bit rate

i'm mixed on this map. on one hand, there's quite a lot of time and effort put into it to make it hard. on the other, a lot of it's difficulty comes from bad map design.
for starters, there definitely needs to be a texture pack for this map. the furnace in the droppers was neat, but it's definitely a roll your eyes moment. also having to look at bedrock for hours on end really makes you want to leave. but that's not the main issue. the issue is when sparklez is looking around wall after wall of bedrock for that 3 pixel opening with a crafting table for 20 minutes, or the darkstone button that blends in with bedrock to the point i couldn't even see it even after he was staring right at it for 2 minutes. dev says he doesn't want to waste time, but those seem quite a bit like time wasters for me.
Pretty sure it's impossible to break the boat here because it's falling onto partial blocks, so it will always fall slightly farther than 12/13/etc. I can at least confirm that when I just tested it myself, a 12 block and 13 block drop did not break the boat when falling onto an end portal frame.
I'm getting more and more "Aperture Science Enrichment Center" vibes from these rooms. I wonder if the cake is a sly reference? 😁
Having to check each one is a great way to hide things, but not at all fun.

1. I don't think this works anymore but you can place an item frame onto a pressure plate and add an item inside to keep it activated
2. Are you intentionally missing the mechanic you did by entering the room, placing the item frame onto the barrier block, have an item in it and hit the comparator that will activate the exit

I cant pretend to know exactly how it works but can't you nudge boats so they phase into the blocks, then just get in and drive through? (And eat the cake)

they do but it's not powerful enough
that cake appears to have two bites taken out of it, which means it's outputting a signal strength of 10. Every non-stackable item will increase the choat signal by two. As is, we only have 4 non-stackables to put inside of it, which gives a signal of 8, plus one for stackables gives 9. We need one more non-stackable to make it tip over and activate

I swear, as soon as Jordan placed the minecart in the item frame, I instantly got the idea to put one of the boats in the item frame. Dispensers can't place boats normally, but if there is water under the air block, it can place the boat. It was agonizing to watch nobody get it for so long. It was 50:17 when he tried the minecart and 56:10 when he finally got it. I know the video was definitely shortened from how long the stream was so it was just really frustrating.
