Hey Guy's.....I knew you'd figure something out on the rear gear issue...It's coming along great...Looking forward to seeing more up-dates on the "RRW"... Also, Using the Brake Lathe to turn the Hub down was a Fantastic idea....Way to go...Keep doing what your doing...We'll keep Watchin'....And,,, It'll Be Fine
Everytime I watch this I imagine all these cool things that could be done and I just keep imagining like a really old dear suburban seat on it and on the side of the cart welding like a foot rack for your feet so your feet aren't bunched up plus perfect mounting spot for breaks and gas pedal all around though awesome build
Put the seat mounted to the wagon upper rail, where Ike was sitting at 8:50 Might be a good idea to build a shield/guard over the shafts and "magicbox" incase of detonation. :) Love the vids, keep them coming.
This is amazing I've been a subscriber ever since day one and I love what you guys do someday I'd love to everything you two do I never miss one video,I'm only 14 year old guy so I don't really get to do anything you guys do Don't forget about me :) your videos really inspire me to get out there and build engines I'm getting a mini bike and putting an engine into it then making me own rat-rode wagon But unfortunately I don't have a welder But I'm still loving the videos
That thing needs a wicked looking breather on the carb, a spider Web steering wheels some funky looking fenders and for God's sakes build a seat lol. I like it
That gear box could handle any V-twin engine you could get. It has a PTO (power take out) input to it which are meant to power implements of of farm tractors which can output from 35 hp and up. I'd say the briggs flatty looks great on it. You can get after market parts for the old 5hp flat head, they used to run them in mini dragsters.
I think if you guys move the clutch to the back would help a lot because the clutch has to turn the box chains and carry you. So direct chain drive the box and you won't lose as much power, it may be harder to start but try n see. It'll be more fine and more fun :)
Have you guys ever thought about building your own dirt track? How big is that property? Is there room somewhere in the woods for something like that? That would be an awesome series. Maybe some jumps? Nothing crazy, but just enough to get off the ground. I can imagine you guys doing that.
+john papple We have thought about building a track, but we don't have a place with enough space for one. Ideally, we'd have a few acres of land outside of town just to ride karts on, but land isn't cheap.
Like what you do! I wonder, who are these 11 people, who clicked "thumbs down". Hey, didn't you think about to take a pair of you craziest machines - I mean the Rat Rod and the 670 - to a real kart racing track and make an episode there? Of course, when both are completed.
Nice work once again! You guys always make it look so much fun. Keep up the good work guys. Don't forget about working on the mini bikes, it has been way too long.😲
After watching the last couple Ratrod videos again I think your clutch might be toast, remember all that smoke last video? That was an awful amount of heat it was subjected to with the old gearing.
You guys should hop up a different briggs flattie with an arc rod, 94-ss cam, stiffer valve springs and a straight pipe. Theres lots of info on hoppin up those little motors on the web. That kart is pretty cool and nice videos!
Now here is just a thought for you guys if you would like for the rat rod wagon to at least keep up with your other awesome and fast builds you should consider putting a 30 series torque converter in place of your cyntrificle clutch that way it may compensate for the minor loss in power of your "magic box" please let me know what you think of the idea thanks!
highly suggest you get whats called a "gimble" i believe, it makes the footage very very smooth, you really need one for when running, it keeps everything really steady!
+A Mop I've been looking into them, but the good ones can be pretty expensive, and at the end of the day, its only GoPro footage. I'm thinking a DJI Osmo might be a more professional (albeit more expensive) solution.
We got the kids a go-kart although we really have no dirt areas to ride.. just a windey 1 mile street to go back and forth on.. the front tires maybe last 6-8 hours before they have to be replaced due to it balds the tires until they pop.. could you guys recommend some tires so they can ride and not worry to much about wearing out the tires.. also maybe a video to show how to check alignments on the karts?
I love what you've done with this go kart, if there was a custom go kart contest, id vote this one. Also, you guys should ad a blower intake (not an actual supercharger, too much work)
You should do this to the V-twin cart! This would solve a lot of the control issues with it being so back heavy, also front facing air flow would aid with cooling (since you yanked the gov).
You know those gimbals that stabilize the camera completely? that would be awesome for when you're running along the gokarts! Just a thought guys. It makes super smooth footage and it's compatible with gopros!
lol you can just add Vaseline to the bead of the tire, center it over the raised portions of the wheel, then add air. They pretty much push themselves on no ignition needed. Also check what oil or grease that gearbox is running. Chances are that is robbing power since it's sealed, the gears could be fighting the fluid.
+James Hargrave and id like to thank all the viewers for making this possible and my parents for having me and john. john is the back bone of the whole carsandcameras channel. so ill take this award and HEY WHERES THE AWARD! lol thanks for the nomination lol
You guys should look into getting a DJI OSMO. It's a relatively inexpensive way to get Stabilized good quality video. Running with a camera would be a much more fluid experience as well. Anyway, keep up the good work!
+CarsandCameras you should make some wheel wells for the back tires to cover the sprocket and add to the rat rod look. and it would help prevent accidentally hitting it
seriously... the classical music in the intro... is priceless, please leave it!!!!!! love you guys!
+Tony Fleetwood thanks
Isaac it'll be fine Love the intro!
Thanks guys, because of you i am now building my first go kart in a couple of weeks and i couldn't of done it without you.
Hey Guy's.....I knew you'd figure something out on the rear gear issue...It's coming along great...Looking forward to seeing more up-dates on the "RRW"... +Ol' Moe thanks
The "Magic Box" gives it that authentic big machine sound😆👍
Good to see you guys growing! Really enjoy your content :)
+James Kingston thanks
Everytime I watch this I imagine all these cool things that could be done and I just keep imagining like a really old dear suburban seat on it and on the side of the cart welding like a foot rack for your feet so your feet aren't bunched up plus perfect mounting spot for breaks and gas pedal all around though awesome build
Man I'm so glad I happened upon this channel 😆
+dennis neo glad your here
happy to see such great content from a local youtuber, keep up the great work.
I love the drone shots and the speedometer and track "map"
You guys have really perfected your inner man child. Don’t stop
I always get excited when I see one of y'alls videos in my sub box
+Anal Warlord thanks
Editing is so much better, really enjoyable to watch. Keep it up!
since watching your vids, i have decided to purchase my own 2 stroke 100cc kart
You guys should build an off-road go kart with coil-over type suspension! Btw, the intro is awesome!
That would be awesome
I said that first
YES
yes! it should do at least 40, two seater, complete with burnouts and wheelies! it would be nice to see coilovers on a smashed gocart
Gee that narrows it down...
Double wishbone, SLA, Macpherson.... come on be abit more specific
+CarsandCameras I really like the new music for the intro. I think the juxtaposition of it makes it brilliant.
I demand a rematch!
Yep
+CarsandCameras mini bike build
Hey I got a good idea put lighter oil in the 90degree thing 10-30w
You should make another one with a 250cc Harley motor that way it works cool and all
+BLACK 0PS BOSS I have a feeling you've done that...
It looks so good! I love it.
ikes got the sliding and counter steering down perfect... nice and smooth
+Joshua Lopez i try
I'm so happy you guys made a new video :)
Thank you for giving me information for working on my go kart. Great channel.
Ahhhh the simple pleasures in life. Hanging and riding carts.
I really like the use of that 90 degree thing!
Whoa... Gettin' professional and such. Keep it up guys!
+Neolith100 thanks
Now for a real test: A predator 212 on a bicycle!
I love the channel and the new intro! Keep it up guys :)
+Preston Pfeifer thanks
I love this channel. You guys are the best!!!
+Joseph Wissing (Jo5ter Gaming) thanks
Put the seat mounted to the wagon upper rail, where Ike was sitting at 8:50
Might be a good idea to build a shield/guard over the shafts and "magicbox" incase of detonation. :)
Love the vids, keep them coming.
+william rcmt thanks. we will look into guards
Please do more with the mini bike!!
I have the same one and your videos are so informational
This is amazing I've been a subscriber ever since day one and I love what you guys do someday I'd love to everything you two do
I never miss one video,I'm only 14 year old guy so I don't really get to do anything you guys do

But unfortunately I don't have a welder
But I'm still loving the videos
dont stop son, the more innovative you are with your projects just makes you better when you have the real tools...
Save up now and one day you can afford ur own shop!
+Isaiah Johnson Thanks! Good luck with your builds.
new intro looks great on last few vids awesome!
You can port and polish those Briggs pretty easily and also modifying the valve seats at the top of the heads for more exhaust and intake flow
I would have loved to see all this in real life, it was interesting and fun to watch. Nice video!
+Racecar564 thanks
I love this cart so much !
way better than 1puglife's content lately
wheres that strait pipe?! i see smoke rings in the neat future!
Really enjoying your videos guys. I used to do similar stuff with a buddy of mine few years back. Wish i had it on camera!
+Epibloger thanks
Great video(s) guys love all your builds!
That thing needs a wicked looking breather on the carb, a spider Web steering wheels some funky looking fenders and for God's sakes build a seat lol. I like it

nice use of drone! makes for some great shots you normally wouldnt be able to get.
Ike, you should do a video showing off all your sweet rides. I love the hearse and the pickup. Would love to see what all is done to them.
+The Headless Horseman thanks
Hey! another use for a brake lathe... you can also resurface flywheels on there!
I think if you guys move the clutch to the back would help a lot because the clutch has to turn the box chains and carry you. So direct chain drive the box and you won't lose as much power, it may be harder to start but try n see. It'll be more fine and more fun :)
rat rod looks good. cant wait to see it done with a wheel and a seat
Have you guys ever thought about building your own dirt track? How big is that property? Is there room somewhere in the woods for something like that? That would be an awesome series. Maybe some jumps? Nothing crazy, but just enough to get off the ground. I can imagine you guys doing that.

Fun build fellas. Thanks
lovin that intro
If you haven't got anything yet I think an old tractor seat (the flat ones on the old tractors) would fit REAL nice on the rat rod!
Jolly good show I do say.
Nice work once again! You guys always make it look so much fun. Keep up the good work guys. Don't forget about working on the mini bikes, it has been way too long.😲
+Michael G Curry yes we need more mini bike
Drifting in a go kart has gotta be one of the funnest things
+James Kingston i love it
+James Kingston most fun
+James Kingston You watch these guys? Would never have thought.
After watching the last couple Ratrod videos again I think your clutch might be toast, remember all that smoke last video? That was an awful amount of heat it was subjected to with the old gearing.
such a cool overlay
You guys are great. Are you going to do any more minibike projects? That would be cool. Can't wait to see what you do next.
+6:00 Just another reason to put one of those old steel tractor pan seats on it ;)
You guys should look at an old tractor seat for it. I bet it would fit it well with the build.
You might find that by calling the local train yard. they may have a piece of rail you could get from them to make a front bumper/counter weight.
Haha I love the intro music. I'm literally crying
You guys might consider putting some braces under the mounts for the "magic box"..I noticed it flexing the wagon pan bit.
nice guys. i love watchin ur videos i think u should do a front wheel drive gokart build i think that would be dope. i cant wait for more
+CarsandCameras What are you using for those camera angles?
You guys should hop up a different briggs flattie with an arc rod, 94-ss cam, stiffer valve springs and a straight pipe. Theres lots of info on hoppin up those little motors on the web. That kart is pretty cool and nice videos!
+Cody Nadgwick thanks
If you guys made like old grill like a 30s ford and lights that would be so unbelievably cool
It's ready to race now!
Where did you get the 90 degree gearbox? I'm building a powerwheels bodies manco. Ever thought of that? Love the show. Keep it up. It's awesome!
+CarsandCameras Please put a big ol air scoop on that Brigs!!! ha
you need to fab up a little grille for it!
+FullThrottle440 That would be just perfect!
A old riding lawnmower grill would rule.
An apposed Briggs on that would be the greatest thing ever, with some big pipes
Them drone shot though
Finally thank you so much
highly suggest you get whats called a "gimble" i believe, it makes the footage very very smooth, you really need one for when running, it keeps everything really steady!
+A Mop I've been looking into them, but the good ones can be pretty expensive, and at the end of the day, its only GoPro footage. I'm thinking a DJI Osmo might be a more professional (albeit more expensive) solution.
+CarsandCameras yep that sounds better
the openimg music is great

Add a little 2stroke to the briggs for better compression, less than an ounce. You guys are getting fancy with that lathe btw lol
That Cadillac! Wow.
I love what you've done with this go kart, if there was a custom go kart contest, id vote this one. Also, you guys should ad a blower intake (not an actual supercharger, too much work)
you guys should get a jackson racing super charger kit and do a how to on one of the miatas
Yall inspire me...
i am loving your videos! i want an old gokart so bad but i got my Miata so i guess i cant complain...
+Oskar “Stig Jr” Jakobsson miatas are sweet. i love my na miata
Isaac it'll be fine Yeah! I got an NA too, They'r great and fun cars:)
+Oskar “Stig Jr” Jakobsson Ill sub for Miata/Predator engine swap. :)
DarkLinkAD i wont swap the 131 hp engine for a 22 hp predator engine.. or what do you mean?
Oskar Jakobsson
Yuppers, eco simple, with the smell of lawn fuel in the morning :)
You should do this to the V-twin cart! This would solve a lot of the control issues with it being so back heavy, also front facing air flow would aid with cooling (since you yanked the gov).
I see you got a drone!!!!
and put a lid on the top to cover the shafts inside .like a plate and make the seat and chain guard all in one
Another great video. Have you got/run a 100cc 2 stroke engine yet as I had a tkm kart & engine and that was a racing kart that went 80-90 mph?
You know those gimbals that stabilize the camera completely? that would be awesome for when you're running along the gokarts! Just a thought guys. It makes super smooth footage and it's compatible with gopros!
I really love your intro

Also check what oil or grease that gearbox is running. Chances are that is robbing power since it's sealed, the gears could be fighting the fluid.
Do a performance rebuild of that B&S. They respond well to some basic mods. Lots of rebuild videos online for help.
And the award for best eye baller goes to.................... Ike!!!!!!
+James Hargrave and id like to thank all the viewers for making this possible and my parents for having me and john. john is the back bone of the whole carsandcameras channel. so ill take this award and HEY WHERES THE AWARD! lol thanks for the nomination lol
what size are the wheels are tires on this thing? love the look!
Awesome!
You guys should look into getting a DJI OSMO. It's a relatively inexpensive way to get Stabilized good quality video. Running with a camera would be a much more fluid experience as well. Anyway, keep up the good work!
+Aaron Palmer I'm looking at one this afternoon!
+Aaron Palmer Oh Just finished the video, noticed the drone.
+CarsandCameras you should make some wheel wells for the back tires to cover the sprocket and add to the rat rod look. and it would help prevent accidentally hitting it
Should find one of thos Ol Raptor flathead briggs. Keep the look with more powaaahh!
Intro was majestic af
+Ariff Anwar it was pretty cool
yeah its cool but i prefer the previous one
id love to see you guys make a Diesel go-kart. love the show :)
+David Mcpake thanks
Idea for a build. Shifter cart with a Daytona anima 190f pit bike engine? Would haul ass. Great stuff guys.
+Tyler Sharman (Sharmo) thanks
carsandcameras you should make an exhaust for the rat rod wagon
definitely looks better like this wish I had one like it
Hehe! That looked like fun!
