The channel you brew kombucha is the best to learn. I’ve been making great tasting kombucha for years. It tasted good with the second fermentation and I like using berries to sweeten
I actually love Brew Dr kombucha as well as GTs. I had to quit GTs because it makes my bladder burn!😑 Youre right, the guava one is sooo good. I'm now on keto/GAPS so I take sips occasionally of a bottle I leave in the fridge. In the past, I've been able to make some yummy tasting kombucha by adding organic fruit juice or pieces of fruit for a second ferment of a few days (in jars with seals that you burp). One juice I used that was tasty was organic peach/apricot. Fruits I liked to use were cut up apples and berries together. I was actually going to start that back up again and this video reminded me! Thanks for all the content you put out 😊❤
I wonder if it made your bladder burn from detox?! How interesting! Maybe it was killing bacteria in the bladder. Whenever I go to America my mom picks me up with some GT kombucha in the car which is my version of a cocktail after travelling 24 hours with kids 😂. If you figure out how to make it taste like GTs please give me the recipe! Thanks for watching ❤❤❤
@@groundedapproach that's awesome🤣 And what a sweet loving Mom thing to do😁 The only thing I can think of with the reaction to GTs is that I drank too much of it trying to kick a long time diet soda addiction. And then to save hundreds of dollars a month, I decided to start brewing my own and I probably drank to much of that. I had a feeling I somehow threw things off with my body like the alkaline/acidity and bacteria/yeast. I could totally be off, but strange things I had never dealt with happened after that. I even got hives from drinking kombucha for a time. I gave it up for a while and now I can drink it (except the burning bladder from GTs) though my body is still out of wack. Might have been a perfect storm. When I made my own, there were some batches I liked a lot and favored more than GTs, but nothing better than the guava one I don't think. Though I'm sure a second ferment with guava juice would be just as or almost as good!! 🤤 I just used a regular black tea and sugar kombucha recipe and then did a second ferment in sealed bottles with the juice or fruit for a few days. Yummy!
Yay! No, it shouldn’t just be meat stock. But I would work up to 5 cups a day before starting intro and go SLOW with probiotic foods! Make sure to watch the videos on the histamine intolernace playlist for help! ❤️❤️❤️
Are the other flavors not GAPS compliant due to the fruit juices in them? My favorite is ginger berry, and I was thinking since it says blueberry juice that it would be okay if it were only blueberries blended into a juice..But maybe I will start getting one of the other two to be on the safe side! Just in case they use added sugars in those juices. Curious though if you know or have any information on that🙂
i have higer histamine issues, not sure if i can have it for higer dose

I am starting the meat broth today. Is it OK to add tallow, pastured egg yolks to it? I tolerate egg yolks and tallow well.
I have ordered the GAPS book and I want to start right away. Is phase 1 meat broth only for a certain amount of days?
